L’Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 OC est l’une des cartes graphiques actuellement disponibles les plus puissantes. Dans nos tests, la carte graphique overclockée d’usine est plus rapide qu’une GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Ses 8 Go de VRAM GDDR6 ne la freinent en rien, ce qui est illustré par les excellentes performances en haute résolution. Malheureusement, le prix n’est pas satisfaisant, à cause du manque de concurrence. Notre modèle de test, vendu 949 € au moment où nous écrivons ce test, s’avère donc être aussi cher qu’une GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Si vous n’avez pas besoin des nouvelles fonctionnalités de l’architecture Turing, un GPU d’occasion pourrait être un meilleur choix. Nous déconseillons une mise à niveau depuis une GeForce GTX 1080 Ti - les performances ne sont pas vraiment supérieures, et les nouvelles fonctionnalités fort acclamées, comme le DLSS ou le raytracing en temps réel, sont encore introuvables - il faudra attendre que les développeurs les intègrent dans les jeux, mais nous ne savons pas trop quand cela arrivera. Aucun jeu avec raytracing en temps réel ou avec DLSS n’était disponible au moment de nos tests.

L’Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 OC vise avant tout les joueurs désireux de jouer aux jeux actuels en UHD avec des détails élevés.

Pour tous les autres, la RTX 2070 pourrait bien être un meilleur choix, puisqu’elle offre un meilleur rapport prix - performances que la RTX 2080.

Si vous possédez déjà une carte graphique Pascal, vous devriez y réfléchir à deux fois avant d’investir près de 1 000 €. Une GeForce GTX 1070 est certes significativement plus lente que la RTX 2080, mais pas une GTX 1080.

L’Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 OC a besoin d’un processeur très puissant pour pouvoir exploiter ses performances. Nos tests montrent que le Ryzen 7 2700X d’AMD est tout à fait capable de concurrencer le Core i9-9900K d’Intel. Malheureusement, nous n’avons pas pu effectuer de tests de jeu sur la plateforme Intel, à cause de manque de temps.
