Comme tous ses prédécesseurs avant lui, le Poco X7 Pro est un excellent smartphone de jeu. Il est puissant, endurant, avec un bel écran 120 Hz lumineux et compatible avec les standards HDR du moment. Il ne chauffe pas trop, la partie sonore n’est pas oubliée… on ne peut que le conseiller pour cet usage. Mais ce Poco X7 Pro n’est pas qu’un smartphone taillé pour le jeu. Il est même un bon smartphone à bien des égards. Ses matériaux sont pensés pour durer, son appareil photo principal est de qualité et la partie logicielle est soignée.

The cameras are better than the X6 Pro, and while they're not the best in this category, you still get decent shots. Combine all of that with an unbeatable value, and the X7 Pro stands out as one of the best budget phones of 2025.

80% Poco X7 Pro review: a new budget benchmark?

Poco phones always impress me with how they can deliver such capable hardware for relatively little cash. The Poco X7 Pro is no different. It looks and feels the part, is impressively potent, and lasts multiple days of regular use before needing to refuel. Its main camera can deliver nicely rounded shots during the day, and doesn’t completely fall apart at night either. It’s more of an everyman than the Honor Magic 7 Lite, which has gone all-in on battery capacity for a little extra cash. The Nothing Phone 2a is a more direct rival, with a more distinctive appearance and superior cameras. Poco also needs to do more to reign in how many apps and games are pre-loaded out of the box. That might fly back home, but in the West it’s a sign of cheapness. If that’s the only real indicator the X7 Pro is in bargain basement territory, though, I’d still say that’s a job well done.

The camera setup is rather basic, with a 50MP main shooter complimented only by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. However, the POCO X7 Pro can still capture good looking photos, albeit with a shallow field of depth thanks to the large aperture. Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 comes installed on the POCO X7 Pro 5G out of the box. This adds some decent features and updates the aesthetics, although there's not much Iron Man action despite the limited edition. Gamers will enjoy the Dimensity 8300 'Ultra' performance, which is good enough to play Wuthering Waves on higher graphics settings. Plus the battery life is fantastic even if the POCO X7 Pro doesn't beat the Honor Magic 7 Lite for capacity.

Passable et manquant de polyvalence, la configuration photo du smartphone ne conviendra pas à celles et ceux qui passent leur temps à mitrailler. Pour autant, et au regard de son prix, le POCO X7 nous apparaît comme une référence très solide, demandant finalement assez peu de compromis aux consommateurs. Une réussite.

Still, if you are not coming from a Poco X6 or Redmi Note 14 Pro, the Poco X7 will impress you with design, screen and even performance. We found its battery life and charging good enough, and its rich connectivity options are a big plus. The Poco X7 main camera does not live up to our expectations as it didn't offer a lossless 2x zoom, which was available on the Poco X6 (with a solid 4x option even, too). While the Poco X7 Pro comes with HyperOS 2 and Android 15, the X7 comes with HyperOS 1 and Android 14, which means one less major upgrade for this phone.

Still, if you are not coming from a Poco X6 or Redmi Note 14 Pro, the Poco X7 will impress you with design, screen and even performance. We found its battery life and charging good enough, and its rich connectivity options are a big plus. The Poco X7 main camera does not live up to our expectations as it didn't offer a lossless 2x zoom, which was available on the Poco X6 (with a solid 4x option even, too). While the Poco X7 Pro comes with HyperOS 2 and Android 15, the X7 comes with HyperOS 1 and Android 14, which means one less major upgrade for this phone.

Xiaomi:

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

ARM Immortalis-G720 MP7: Puce graphique haut de gamme pour smartphones avec 7 des 16 cœurs possibles. Basée sur la nouvelle architecture "5th Gen" (successeur de Valhall) incluant Variable Rate Shading (VRS) et Ray Racing. Par rapport au G715, il devrait être possible d'augmenter les performances de 15 % à fréquence d'horloge égale.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

ARM Mali-G615 MP2: Puce graphique de milieu de gamme pour smartphones avec 2 des 6 cœurs possibles. Basée sur la quatrième génération de l'architecture Valhall. Offre un ombrage à taux variable.

Mediatek :

Dimensity 8400: Le MediaTek Dimensity 8400 fonctionne avec huit cœurs ARM Cortex-A725 basés sur une "conception à grand cœur" qui repose entièrement sur des cœurs de performance. Un cœur ARM Cortex-A725 fonctionne à 3,25 GHz, trois autres à 3,0 GHz, tandis que les quatre cœurs restants servent de cœurs de performance économes en énergie et fonctionnent jusqu'à 2,1 GHz.

Dimensity 7300: Le Dimensity 7300 est un processeur de milieu de gamme avec modem 5G intégré. La partie CPU intègre quatre cœurs ARM Cortex-A78 pouvant atteindre 2,5 GHz et quatre cœurs de puissance Cortex-A55 pouvant atteindre 2 GHz. Le SoC est fabriqué à l'aide du processus moderne 4nm.
