Une carte graphique Intel à un prix abordable, c'est encore trop cher ?

Pour ceux qui osent donner une chance à Intel en tant que fabricant de GPU de bureau, il y a maintenant l'Intel Arc A380. Pour un prix d'achat relativement bas, vous obtenez une petite carte graphique et 6 Go de VRAM, mais vous ne devez pas en attendre trop en termes de performances de jeu. Nous avons examiné de plus près les performances de la carte graphique Intel abordable, la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf, et les avons analysées à l'aide de nombreux benchmarks.

L'Intel Arc A380 coûte actuellement 129 euros (~$141). Mais le GPU d'entrée de gamme offre toujours 6 Go de VRAM, bien qu'ils ne soient connectés que par une petite interface de stockage de 96 bits. Avec la DB2-128, vous disposez d'une puce GPU nettement plus petite qu'avec les cartes graphiques Intel Arc plus puissantes.

Dans cet article, nous examinons de plus près les performances de la carte Sparkle Arc A380 Elf. Notre unité de test est courte et à peine plus longue que l'emplacement PCIe, ce qui rend la carte graphique très bien adaptée aux petits systèmes Mini-ITX. Le modèle est équipé d'un ventilateur axial qui fournit de l'air frais à la courte carte graphique à double emplacement. Visuellement, la carte est conservée dans un design bleu qui est partagé par toute la palette de modèles des cartes graphiques Intel de Sparkle. Cependant, vous pouvez toujours voir et sentir le faible prix d'achat de la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf, puisque la face avant est entièrement en plastique et qu'il n'y a pas de plaque arrière.

L'efficace Sparkle Arc A380 Elf n'a pas besoin d'une connexion électrique supplémentaire, et toute l'énergie est fournie exclusivement par le slot PCIe. En ce qui concerne les connexions externes, outre le port HDMI 2.0, nous disposons de trois connexions DisplayPort 2.0 dans notre unité de test. Ainsi, même le modèle Intel abordable offre un équipement de connexion externe légèrement supérieur à celui de Nvidia. AMD propose déjà DisplayPort 2.1 avec ses modèles RX 7000.

En termes de vitesse d'horloge de la puce graphique et de la VRAM, Sparkle respecte les spécifications d'Intel. Sous charge, nous atteignons un boost GPU jusqu'à 2400 MHz, bien que cela diminue sous une charge plus longue, se stabilisant à environ 2150 MHz. La puissance cible du Sparkle Arc A380 Elf est de 43 watts et ne peut être augmentée davantage.

Repères synthétiques

Les spécifications techniques montrent déjà que la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf est une carte graphique simple pour les systèmes à petit budget. En conséquence, la carte graphique n'est pas non plus en mesure de fournir des performances 3D élevées. Même comparée à la carte Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 5500 XT 8G SEnotre échantillon de test reste nettement en retrait. D'autre part, la carte graphique Intel présente une meilleure image dans le test Affinity Photo 2 Benchmark. Toutefois, l'écart est relativement important par rapport à la carte graphique Intel Arc A580qui n'est actuellement comblé que par certains modèles de GPU plus anciens.

Applications professionnelles

Nous avons déjà vu dans les tests des trois modèles Intel les plus rapides qu'Intel a du mal à se maintenir au niveau des concurrents actuels. Avec la puce graphique considérablement réduite qui est utilisée dans la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf, il y a également un grand écart de performance entre les cartes graphiques Intel. En raison des performances inférieures du GPU de l'Arc A380, il serait préférable de passer à un autre modèle dans le domaine professionnel. Même dans le domaine semi-professionnel, cette carte graphique ne mérite pas d'être recommandée.

Émissions - relativement bruyantes malgré les faibles performances

Émissions sonores

La Sparkle Arc A380 Elf est équipée d'un ventilateur de 90 millimètres. Heureusement, le fabricant n'a pas renoncé à un mode d'arrêt du ventilateur, de sorte que la carte graphique peut fonctionner silencieusement en mode veille. Sous charge, nous entendons un bruit de bobine très perceptible en plus du bruit du ventilateur. Lors de notre test, ce bruit était même légèrement plus fort en charge moyenne que lors du test de stress. Avec une moyenne de 38,3 dB(A) pendant le jeu, le niveau sonore était également légèrement supérieur à celui que nous avons déterminé pendant le test de stress (37,7 dB(A)).

Le fabricant a également du retard à rattraper en ce qui concerne le contrôle de la vitesse du ventilateur : Sous charge, le ventilateur tourne inutilement à plein régime dans de brefs intervalles de temps. C'est très ennuyeux à la longue, et vous ne pouvez y remédier qu'en réglant manuellement la courbe du ventilateur dans le pilote Intel. Vous pouvez également régler la vitesse du ventilateur sur une valeur fixe.

Températures et consommation électrique

Le fait que la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf ne soit alimentée que par le slot PCI Express montre clairement qu'il s'agit d'une carte graphique efficace. Dans notre comparaison, le système de test basé sur la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf est de loin le plus efficace. Nos mesures n'indiquent que 145 watts comme valeur moyenne pendant le test de stress, même si elle atteint environ 143 watts pendant le jeu. Dans notre comparaison d'efficacité, cela est même suffisant pour surpasser l'Acer Predator BiFrown Elf Acer Predator BiFrost Arc A750 OC et ASRock Arc A580 Challenger OC.

À aucun moment, notre unité de test ne rencontre de problèmes de température. Sous charge, la température du GPU et de la VRAM n'augmente que jusqu'à 66 °C. Il y a donc encore suffisamment de marge de manœuvre pour optimiser la courbe de ventilation discutable dans l'état de livraison.

La Sparkle Arc A380 Elf est une carte graphique assez simple pour les PC de bureau. Avec 6 Go de VRAM, elle est très attrayante et, à seulement 129 euros (~141 $), le prix d'achat n'entamera pas trop votre budget. En même temps, il ne faut pas non plus trop attendre de la puce GPU DG2-128. Avec seulement 1 024 unités d'ombrage, les performances graphiques ont considérablement diminué par rapport aux cartes graphiques Intel Arc plus rapides. Compte tenu de ses performances, la carte graphique ne devrait pas coûter plus de 100 euros (~109 $). La petite carte graphique aura du mal à servir de carte graphique de jeu pur dans un système. Cependant, de nombreux jeux peuvent être joués avec des taux de rafraîchissement adéquats.

La Sparkle Arc A380 Elf est actuellement l'alternative la plus abordable à AMD et Nvidia et permet de jouer à de nombreux jeux en 1080p. Mais le plus grand avantage de l'Intel Arc A380 réside dans son encodage et son décodage AV1.

En raison de son prix abordable, le design a l'air et semble bon marché, bien qu'il remplisse son rôle. Le fabricant contrôle en permanence la température, ce qui ne devrait pas être très difficile pour une carte graphique de 75 watts. Ce qui est moins intéressant, c'est la montée en régime continue du ventilateur sous charge, qui nécessite un réglage manuel. En outre, notre unité de test de la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf est confrontée à un bruit de bobine considérable qui peut même être entendu à travers un boîtier PC fermé. Dans l'ensemble, la carte graphique présente des avantages et des inconvénients, mais en raison des inconvénients susmentionnés, nous ne pouvons pas recommander directement son achat. Si vous souhaitez donner une chance aux cartes graphiques Intel Arc, nous vous conseillons de vous intéresser à la carte ASRock Arc A580 Challenger OC. Bien qu'elle soit légèrement plus chère, elle offre des performances comparativement plus élevées que la Sparkle Arc A380 Elf.
