La version logicielle présente des avantages et des inconvénients : elle est mise à jour régulièrement et bénéficie d'Android Stock, ce qui est une bonne nouvelle mais peut paraître un peu ennuyeux à certains. Dans tous les cas, la meilleur fonctionnalité de votre smartphone devrait être Android comme le veut Google et c'est précisément ce que fait Nokia.

We’ve seen the lower-spec’d SD636 deliver excellent performance in lower priced phones, and we expect better performance from the faster processor. With an Adreno 512 GPU the chipset is more than a match for graphically taxing games and apps, though we will have to see how well it performs during our review process.

Son design est plaisant, tout au moins pour cette gamme de prix, et son appareil photo est sans nul doute un bel atout, tout comme l'est Android One, mais ces défauts gâchent tout et rendent l'expérience utilisateur épouvantable. Les bugs sont ennuyeux, à tel point que l'on ne peut pas faire confiance à l'appareil lorsque l'on en aurait besoin (écran qui se fige alors que l'on cherche son chemin sur Google Maps, par exemple), et les ralentissements peuvent être parfois pénibles. Quand bien-même vous arrivez à l'utiliser, il est bien possible que l'autonomie vous gêne. En bref, un bon potentiel gâché, c'est dommage.

Le Nokia 7.1 n'était pas loin d'être le meilleur smartphone de sa catégorie. Son design est digne d'un modèle haut de gamme, il est le meilleur photophone à moins de 350 euros, son écran est magnifique, et son système de recharge rapide efficace. Oui mais voilà, Nokia et HMD ont un peu rogné sur les coûts en intégrant un processeur trop lent et un 3GB de RAM insuffisants. Résultat, le Nokia 7.1 pêche par ses performances et l'expérience globale ponctuée de crashs et freezes peut devenir agaçante. Le Nokia 7.1 n'était pas loin d'être le meilleur smartphone de sa catégorie. That said, the phone follows Samsung’s glass and metal design language. There’s no flex whatsoever, but the delicate glass body can be cracked easily if it falls on the hard surface. I recommend a case just to protect the delicate back glass panel. The fingerprint sensor is right above the Samsung logo and it was easy to unlock my smartphone with one hand. Apart from the fingerprint scanner, the Galaxy A9 has included facial recognition which works like charm.

Je voulais vraiment aimer le Nokia 7.2. Je suis fan de HMD Global et je n'ai même pas détesté le Nokia 9 PureView autant que d'autres dans l'industrie. Le 8.1, en particulier, était génial. C'est donc avec un peu de tristesse que j'en suis venu à la conclusion que le 7.2 est un pas en arrière pour la marque. Pour seulement quelques dizaines d'euros de plus, vous pouvez avoir un Nokia 8.1 avec un meilleur processeur, une meilleure autonomie, une encoche plus facile à masquer et une qualité de finition qui semble juste beaucoup plus premium. Les choses semblent encore pires pour le 7.2 quand vous regardez ce que d'autres marques telles que Realme offrent pour à peu près le même prix.

Nokia:

Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.
