You do get advantages, particularly when it comes to look and build quality, from ultraportables that are $200–$300 more. But there are certainly customers — especially in the business sphere, I imagine — who care more about having a portable, affordable device with decent connectivity than they do about having one that’s beautiful. It feels pretty clear cut that anyone who prefers battery life over consistent performance would be well suited with the AMD powered version of the ThinkBook 13s. That is not to say the performance on the 13s is poor, it's just a bit more erratic than the Intel P-Series counterpart. However, with both the Intel and AMD models of the ThinkBook 13s sitting on a desk, customers would be hard pressed to really notice a difference other than the price, which is also a consideration. At $851.80, and several discounts throughout the year, the ThinkBook 13s is a no brainer upgrade for anyone looking to venture beyond the typical ThinkBook aesthetic or a years old laptop. The last consideration for customers regarding the ThinkBook 13s is finding a model that actually has an AMD chip in it. As I am writing this review, AMD options are out at Lenovo.com, Best Buy and NewEgg, that may change in the coming weeks.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" de la légende anglaise, novo (latin) pour nouveau) a été fondée en 1984 en tant que société chinoise de commerce d'ordinateurs. En 2004, la société était le plus grand fabricant d'ordinateurs portables en Chine et, après l'acquisition de la division PC d'IBM en 2005, le quatrième au monde. En plus des ordinateurs de bureau et des ordinateurs portables, la société fabrique des moniteurs, des projecteurs, des serveurs, etc., et se spécialise dans le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation d'électronique grand public, d'ordinateurs personnels, de logiciels, de solutions d'entreprise et de services connexes.
En 2016, l'entreprise s'est classée au premier rang mondial des ventes d'ordinateurs. Il le détenait encore en 2023 avec environ 23% de part de marché mondiale. Les gammes de produits importantes sont Thinkpad, Legion et Ideapad.
En 2011, elle a acquis une participation majoritaire dans Medion AG, un fabricant européen de matériel informatique. En 2014, Motorola Mobility a été racheté, ce qui a donné un coup de pouce à Lenovo sur le marché des smartphones.
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
GPU intégré (GT2, 24 unités de calcul) que l'on trouve sur certains processeurs Kaby Lake Refresh (série ULV 15 W). Techniquement identique à la carte graphique Kaby Lake précédente, la HD Graphics 620.
Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs:
Carte graphique intégrée dans les SoCs Intel Tiger Lake G7 basés sur la nouvelle architecture Gen. 12 avec 80 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). La fréquence d'horloge dépend du modèle de processeur. Les puces Tiger Lake sont produites dans le processus moderne 10nm+ chez Intel.

Processeur Comet Lake quadricur basse consommation (techniquement identique à Whiskey Lake et toujours produit en 14 nm++). Les curs peuvent monter entre 1,8 et 4,9 GHz (4,3 GHz avec les 4 curs), avec Hyperthreading (8 threads). Le contrôleur mémoire intégré prend en charge le DDR4-2666 et en utilisant le cTDP à la hausse ou à la baisse, les performances peuvent être ajustées par le fabricant (15 W par défaut, 10 à 25 W possibles).

Processeur quadricœur à faible puissance basé sur Tiger Lake pour les ordinateurs portables minces et légers. Fabriqué selon un processus 10nm amélioré chez Intel.

APU mobile Hexa-Core utilisant six cœurs Zen 3 cadencés de 2,9 à 4,5 GHz et une carte graphique RDNA2 avec 6 CU cadencées jusqu'à 1900 MHz. Le TDP est spécifié entre 15 et 28 Watt.
Intel Alder Lake-P:
i5-1240P:
Un processeur de milieu de gamme de la famille Alder Lake de 28 W comprenant 4 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Ce SoC est conçu pour être utilisé dans les ordinateurs portables ultra-légers. Les cœurs de performance de l'i5 sont dotés de la technologie Hyper-Threading qui double les threads pour un total de 16 threads. Le Core i5-1240P fonctionne de 1,2 GHz à 4,4 GHz ; il intègre un GPU Iris Xe de 80 UE et prend en charge les fonctions vPro de niveau "Essentials".
