Xiaomi is releasing the Sound Outdoor speaker in India, having recently launched the device in the UK. The award-winning product has been rolling out to global markets since earlier this year. Features include a carry handle, a stereo sound mode, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and the ability to take Bluetooth calls.

The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor speaker is about to launch in India, following its recent release for the UK market. The device was spotted on the brand’s global website earlier this year and is now available in various countries worldwide including Germany, Mexico, Japan and Brazil.

The Sound Outdoor is a Red Dot Design Award-winning speaker offered in three colors: black (with an orange handle), red and blue. The speaker has dual passive woofer radiators, an up to 30W output and a frequency range of 60Hz to 20 KHz. Bluetooth 5.4 is used to pair your smartphone with the ability to answer calls on the speaker. You can link up to 100 units, with two speakers enough to deliver a stereo sound experience. Plus, the integrated battery allows the speaker to run for up to 12 hours between charges, with a full recharge taking around 2.5 hours.

The product is IP67 rated dust and waterproof and described as portable, measuring 197 x 68 x 66 mm (~7.8 x 2.7 x 2.6 inches) and weighing 597g (~1.3 lbs). Xiaomi will launch the Sound Outdoor speaker in India on December 9th, alongside the Redmi Note 14 Series smartphones. However, it is unclear how much the product will cost. In the UK, you can buy the product for £34.99 (~INR 3,771), and in Germany, it retails for €39.99 (~INR 3,571).
