En effet, le constructeur abuse de moins en moins du lissage numérique et propose des clichés de très belle qualité en plein jour.

Le Xiaomi 14T est un bon smartphone dans sa globalité. Si on relève quelques points d’imperfection, comme le mode nuit, ou le fait que la version classique du smartphone ne soit pas compatible avec la charge sans fil, alors que le Pro l’est, lui, tout cela peut trouver de nombreux lots de consolation. Écran de qualité et 144 Hz, bonnes performances, prise en mains agréable, autonomie convenable, et en photo de jour, une très bonne maîtrise ! C’est donc un bon smartphone, pas parfait certes, mais qui conviendra à la très large majorité des utilisateurs.

The difference is not that large but it is still there.

First, the chipset is different and slower than the absolutely amazing Dimensity 9300+. The Xiaomi 14T is positioned somewhere around the Pixel 8a performance-wise. Second, the camera system is different, but the main camera is still pretty good. What we don't understand is the need for a dedicated 2x telephoto. There's no wireless charging, and the wired charging speeds are slower, albeit pretty decent still. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14T has a very attractive design and a gorgeous screen at its side, plus the Gemini partnership, which is not to be taken lightly.

Unboxing the Xiaomi 14T smartphone, with a tour of the camera setup, gaming test, battery life thoughts and more. I've already reviewed the Xiaomi 14T Pro and here's how the more basic regular phone compares. You do have a few downgrades here vs the Pro, starting with the camera tech. The cheaper Sony sensor is still good for shooting photos in most conditions, while most of the Xiaomi 14T camera features remain the same. Stuff like 8K video recording won't be missed by many. Likewise, the battery charging is a bit slower and there's no wireless charging support. However, I actually preferred the gaming experience here on the Xiaomi 14T vs the Pro, as this phone doesn't heat up as badly. And this regular model is a bit lighter too, although that's thanks to the more basic plastic finish.

The handset covers all bases with a good display, adequate chipset, fast enough charging and nice-sounding speakers. What we would like to see improved is battery life. Also, excluding the charger from the box doesn't sit well with us, given the fact that the phone supports proprietary fast charging. Despite its lackluster selfie camera, the Xiaomi 14T stands out from the crowd with excellent camera performance - day and night, stills and videos. We are even surprised by how good the 4x zoom mode is. When you factor in 4 years of major OS updates, the Xiaomi 14T becomes an excellent all-rounder and a great recommendation from launch. As the price settles with time, the handset will become even more lucrative.

In photo mode, we were particularly impressed by the natural color rendering, the wide depth of field, the stable white balance in bright light and the good rendering of fine detail. On the downside, exposure could be unstable, the camera struggled with color casts in low light, the bokeh effect in portrait mode had an unnatural appearance, and the preview image on the display did often not quite look like the final capture, especially in terms of dynamic range. In video mode, the Xiaomi 14T recorded high levels of detail, the white balance was nice and the effective stabilization system made for smooth footage. However, our testers also observed some scene integrity artifacts across all test conditions, video noise was quite strong in low light and skin tones were often rendered inaccurately.

Le 14T Pro est un smartphone réussi sur bien des aspects. Pour commencer, on apprécie son design « titane » qui lui confère une élégance discrète. Autre aspect satisfaisant, l’écran produit une image de très bonne tenue dont la colorimétrie n’a rien à envier à ses concurrents haut de gamme. Le choix d’un SoC Dimensity 9300+ de Mediatek s’avère pertinent puisqu’il fournit une puissance de traitement suffisante pour les usages avancés, y compris pour le jeu 3D. Le mécanisme d’évacuation thermique concocté pour l’occasion s’avère d’une redoutable efficacité. Si cela permet au SoC de fonctionner correctement, il rend le 14T Pro bien trop chaud en utilisation prolongée.

Côté technique, le Xiaomi 14T Pro a tout d'un grand, il est performant pour la vie de tous les jours, il est endurant et propose un superbe écran, le tout dans un très bel écrin. Et parce qu’il est proposé à un prix plus raisonnable, on se retrouve avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix, aussi bien dans le segment des smartphones haut de gamme que celui des smartphones premium. « Pourquoi payer plus cher ? », c’est un peu la philosophie de Xiaomi d’ailleurs.

Reviewing the Xiaomi 14T Pro, a cheaper flagship phone alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S24, Pixel 9 series etc. I've been using the Xiaomi 14T Pro as my full time smartphone, testing the camera abilities, gaming prowess, battery life etc. So here's my full verdict and check out my 14T unboxing to see how it compares vs the Pro! The Xiaomi 14T Pro serves up the same main camera sensor as the dinky flagship from six months ago, serving up excellent natural looking photos. You can boost the picture brightness and vibrancy if wanted and shoot up to 8K resolution video - while the Xiaomi 14T Pro also offers a slew of movie modes. Battery life has been good these past few days, unless you get gaming on Wuthering Waves etc for any length of time. Playing games does make this phone heat up quite quickly, due to the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset which powers it. Still, the Xiaomi 14T Pro maintained a mostly smooth frame rate even over time.

It's among the fastest charging phones in the industry and it's got a 144Hz display, and that's in addition to a high-end chipset and a camera system that only falls short in one or two niche areas. Admittedly, if selfies are of utmost importance, one of the niche areas becomes more of a pressing issue. Similarly, if you're into closeups, you'll probably need to look elsewhere (or try to work with the main camera, because the ultrawide and the telephoto won't be of much use).

The 14T Pro has considerable upgrades over its predecessor, and I like the changes to the design. It's too much to assume that Xiaomi would retain a similar aesthetic next year, but the chassis has a distinctiveness that you don't get with other devices in this category. There's plenty to like in other areas as well; the AMOLED panel gets brighter, the hardware is among the best around, and the main camera at the back is incredible. The software feels much better than previous years, and while you don't get any AI features out of the box, that's bound to change over the coming months. Xiaomi still needs to do better with its auxiliary cameras; they're not quite on par with the Xiaomi 14, and that takes the shine off the 14T Pro to an extent.

You’re also spoilt for storage options, with a massive 1TB available if you don’t mind spending a little extra; that’s something you won’t get from many mid-range rivals. I’m a big fan of Xiaomi’s Leica-led image processing, and while overall quality isn’t quite on par with the more expensive alternatives, this is still a very convincing camera phone. It doesn’t feel like an especially big leap forward from the outgoing 13T Pro, although top marks to Xiaomi from making the switch from a polycarbonate frame to a metal one.

You can boost the picture brightness and vibrancy if wanted and shoot up to 8K resolution video - while the Xiaomi 14T Pro also offers a slew of movie modes. Battery life has been good these past few days, unless you get gaming on Wuthering Waves etc for any length of time. Playing games does make this phone heat up quite quickly, due to the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset which powers it. Still, the Xiaomi 14T Pro maintained a mostly smooth frame rate even over time.

It's among the fastest charging phones in the industry and it's got a 144Hz display, and that's in addition to a high-end chipset and a camera system that only falls short in one or two niche areas. Admittedly, if selfies are of utmost importance, one of the niche areas becomes more of a pressing issue. Similarly, if you're into closeups, you'll probably need to look elsewhere (or try to work with the main camera, because the ultrawide and the telephoto won't be of much use).

There's plenty to like in other areas as well; the AMOLED panel gets brighter, the hardware is among the best around, and the main camera at the back is incredible. The software feels much better than previous years, and while you don't get any AI features out of the box, that's bound to change over the coming months. Xiaomi still needs to do better with its auxiliary cameras; they're not quite on par with the Xiaomi 14, and that takes the shine off the 14T Pro to an extent.

There’s not really a box the Xiaomi 14T Pro doesn’t tick for the money. It’s plenty powerful, can easily last all day, charges ridiculously quickly, and has a very tidy display. You’re also spoilt for storage options, with a massive 1TB available if you don’t mind spending a little extra; that’s something you won’t get from many mid-range rivals. I’m a big fan of Xiaomi’s Leica-led image processing, and while overall quality isn’t quite on par with the more expensive alternatives, this is still a very convincing camera phone. It doesn’t feel like an especially big leap forward from the outgoing 13T Pro, although top marks to Xiaomi from making the switch from a polycarbonate frame to a metal one.

Xiaomi:

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

ARM Mali-G615 MP6:

ARM Immortalis-G720 MP12: Puce graphique haut de gamme pour smartphones avec 12 des 16 cœurs possibles. Basée sur la nouvelle architecture "5th Gen" (successeur de Valhall) incluant Variable Rate Shading (VRS) et Ray Racing. Par rapport au G715, il devrait être possible d'augmenter les performances de 15 % à fréquence d'horloge égale.

Dimensity 8300-Ultra: Le processeur fonctionne avec un total de huit cœurs, répartis en deux groupes. Le premier groupe contient un cœur de puissance ARM Cortex-A715, qui fonctionne jusqu'à 3,35 GHz. En outre, il y a trois autres cœurs ARM Cortex-A715 cadencés à 3,2 GHz. Le deuxième cluster contient quatre cœurs d'économie d'énergie ARM Cortex-A510 cadencés à 2,2 GHz. La RAM LPDDR5 peut être utilisée comme mémoire vive et l'UFS 4.0 est pris en charge comme mémoire interne.

Mediatek Dimensity 9000:

Dimensity 9300+: Le Dimensity 9300+ est un processeur haut de gamme avec modem 5G intégré. La section CPU intègre un cœur ARM Cortex-X4 rapide pouvant atteindre 3,4 GHz, trois cœurs X4 moins cadencés pouvant atteindre 2,9 GHz et quatre cœurs Cortex-A520 plus petits pouvant atteindre 2 GHz.
