Le GPU 1080p parfait ?

Après avoir sorti tous ses produits haut de gamme RDNA 2, AMD est passé aux GPU de milieu de gamme. Lisez notre test pour savoir si l'AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT est la carte graphique parfaite pour les joueurs 1080p.

La Radeon RX 6600 XT est la carte graphique RDNA 2 de milieu de gamme d'AMD. Elle est destinée principalement aux joueurs 1080p. Le GPU RDNA 2 est assez économe en énergie. Nous aborderons les performances un peu plus tard dans notre revue

Il n'existe pas de modèle de référence de la Radeon RX 6600 XT. Contrairement aux GPU haut de gamme de la série 6000, seuls des modèles de partenaires de carte sont disponibles. Pour cet examen, AMD nous a envoyé le XFX Speedster MERC 308 AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT. C'est l'un des modèles les plus haut de gamme avec un refroidisseur à trois ventilateurs. Dans l'ensemble, le système de refroidissement fonctionne bien, ce qui n'est pas surprenant compte tenu de la TGP de seulement 160 W. Le modèle XFX de la Radeon RX 6600 XT a l'air premium, même si le capot est en plastique. Cependant, la plaque arrière est en métal, c'est pourquoi elle donne à la carte graphique de 27,4 cm (10,8 ″) une impression de robustesse. La plaque arrière ne participe pas au refroidissement des composants du GPU, car elle ne comporte pas de coussinets thermiques.

L'AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT prend en charge toutes les dernières fonctionnalités RDNA 2. Il convient toutefois de mentionner qu'il ne dispose que de 32 cœurs RT, ce qui signifie qu'il ne sera pas en mesure de rivaliser avec les GPU plus rapides de la série RX 6000 en matière de performances de ray-tracing. Le RX 6600 XT prend en charge la mémoire SAM (Smart Access memory). Cela signifie que la puce graphique peut accéder aux 8 Go de VRAM en même temps. Le 6600 XT dispose d'un bus de 128 bits. La Radeon RX 6700 XT, quant à elle, dispose d'un bus de 192 bits, ce qui explique en partie sa rapidité. Le 6600 XT (2048) possède également moins de processeurs de streaming que le 6700 XT (2560). Notre modèle d'essai est doté d'une sélection de ports standard pour ce type de GPU (3 ports DP et 1 port HDMI). La carte graphique est alimentée par un connecteur à 8 broches

Notre système de test est basé sur le AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

Nous utilisons un système AMD équipé du Ryzen 9 5900X pour nos benchmarks. La carte mère vient d'Asus (X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi). Le refroidisseur (ENKI 360 AIO) et la RAM (32 GB) viennent de G.Skill. Comme moniteur, nous utilisons le Acer Predator XB321HK. Nous remercions AMD de nous avoir fourni ce système.

Repères synthétiques

La Radeon RX 6600 XT semble être à peu près aussi performante que la RTX 2080 Super, du moins lorsque nous regardons les résultats des benchmarks synthétiques. Pour l'instant, nous ne pouvons pas comparer la RX 6600 XT à la RTX 3060, car nous n'avons pas encore examiné la RTX 3060. Toutefois, nous examinerons de près le concurrent direct de la RX 6600 XT à l'avenir.

La XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT Merc 308 AMD RX 6600 XT est 12% plus rapide que la AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. La Radeon RX 6700 XT offre cependant 20% de performances en plus que la RX 6600 XT. Néanmoins, le 6600 XT reste un GPU 1080p très performant. Le RX 6700 XT est principalement destiné aux joueurs en 1440p.

AMD affirme que la Radeon RX 6600 XT est conçue pour les jeux 1080p. Le XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT prouve que c'est le cas. Tous les titres que nous avons testés étaient jouables à 1080p. Certains jeux peuvent même être exécutés à des résolutions plus élevées.

Nous utilisons toujours Le site Witcher 3 pour mesurer les taux d'images et les temps d'images. Il n'y a pas de problème ici avec la cohérence du taux de trame. Tout au long de notre test, les fréquences d'images ont oscillé autour de 100 FPS. Dans l'ensemble, il ne devrait pas y avoir de baisse aléatoire des performances lors des jeux.

Thermique et bruit

Selon AMD, la Radeon RX 6600 XT a un TGP de 160 W. Comparée à la RX 5700 XT, la RX 6600 XT est nettement plus économe en énergie et plus performante.

Pour cet examen, nous avons mesuré la consommation d'énergie du système. Pendant notre test de stress, la consommation moyenne d'énergie s'est élevée à 281 W. Pendant les jeux, le système a consommé 299 W en moyenne. La consommation d'énergie du système a atteint un pic de 330 W. La plupart des alimentations seront capables de gérer ce type de charge. Nous n'avons pas utilisé de profils de ventilateur personnalisés pour le GPU. Dans FurMark, les températures du GPU tournaient autour de 76 °C. Selon HWiNFO, les températures du GPU ont atteint 93 °C (199,4 °F). AMD spécifie une température de fonctionnement maximale de 110 °C (230 °F) pour la RX 6600 XT. Dans l'ensemble, la marge de manœuvre thermique est suffisante.

Nous avons été positivement surpris par le XFX Speedster MERC 308 RX 6600 XT. Il fait très bien son travail en ce qui concerne les températures et le bruit du ventilateur. Avec le boîtier fermé, le GPU est pratiquement inaudible. Il est noyé par les ventilateurs du boîtier.

Les GPU RDNA 2 haut de gamme ont apporté un certain nombre de nouvelles fonctionnalités. Désormais, les joueurs soucieux de leur budget peuvent également en profiter, sous une forme légèrement réduite, grâce à la sortie de l'AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT. La RX 6600 XT est plus que suffisante pour les jeux en 1080p. Elle peut même gérer de nombreux titres à des résolutions plus élevées. 8 Go de VRAM sont tout à fait appropriés pour un tel GPU. De toute façon, AMD n'est pas connu pour être avare en VRAM.

Le RX 6600 XT bat facilement le RX 5600 XT et devance le RX 5700 XT la plupart du temps. La RX 6600 XT est à peu près aussi puissante que la Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super. Nous comparerons la RX 6600 XT à la RTX 3060 dans les prochains jours.

L'AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT offre des performances suffisantes pour les jeux en 1080p. Elle est également silencieuse et économe en énergie, ce qui en fait un achat décent.

Heureusement, la RX 6600 XT est livrée avec toutes les fonctionnalités du RDNA 2. Cependant, il n'offre pas le même niveau de performances en matière de ray tracing que les GPU RDNA 2 haut de gamme. Ceux qui ne se soucient pas beaucoup du ray tracing seront très heureux avec le GPU d'AMD. Mais si vous voulez un GPU RT puissant, vous devriez jeter un coup d'œil aux offres de Nvidia.

Le RX 6600 XT a un PDSF de 380 euros (~450 $), ce qui n'est vrai que sur le papier. Dans la vie réelle, ce GPU coûte beaucoup plus cher. Le XFX Speedster MERC 308 AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, par exemple, est vendu 540 euros (~$640) pour le moment.
