En tant que petite ramification des cartes graphiques haut de gamme Amps, nous avons réussi à mettre la main sur un représentant relativement peu coûteux des cartes graphiques convoitées avec la carte MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC et nous l'avons fait passer dans notre cours d'essai. Vous pouvez découvrir les performances du modèle dans cette revue.

Nous avons déjà largement testé les nouvelles cartes graphiques RTX 3000. Cependant, avec la MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC, nous avions maintenant un représentant relativement peu coûteux de la nouvelle série Ampère dans notre test. Avec un PDSF de seulement 529 euros (~642 $), le modèle personnalisé n'est pas beaucoup plus cher que le modèle de référence de Nvidia (499 euros/~$606). Cependant, la situation tendue sur le marché assure encore une très faible disponibilité et pousse donc aussi le prix d'achat extrêmement élevé, de sorte que des prix à partir de 800 euros (~$971) sont demandés pour les modèles de stock au moment du test. C'est une situation très frustrante si vous voulez actuellement acheter une nouvelle console de jeu pour jouer à de nouveaux blockbusters comme Cyberpunk 2077

Heureusement, la rareté n'affecte pas les performances et le modèle de MSI a été assez convaincant lors du test. Et ceux qui peuvent se passer de toutes les orgies d'éclairage via RGB devraient regarder de plus près la série Ventus 3X. Les MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC possèdent un grand dissipateur de chaleur avec trois ventilateurs axiaux, mais ils restent complètement immobiles en mode 2D et à faible charge et ne provoquent donc aucune émission sonore. Mais même sous charge, cette carte graphique ne devient jamais bruyante. Le modèle peut utiliser un maximum de 220 watts, ce qui est exactement la même chose que l'édition Founders. Le modèle de la gamme Gaming X Trio que nous avons également testé récemment était équipé d'un BIOS de 240 watts. Nous verrons plus loin ce que cela signifie en fin de compte pour les performances

Cependant, avec un peu moins de 31 centimètres, notre échantillon de test est à peine plus court que le MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio, ce qui signifie que vous devriez également vérifier si ce modèle rentre dans le boîtier avant de l'acheter. En outre, le MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC est équipé de deux connecteurs d'alimentation à 8 broches et, en externe, il est possible de faire fonctionner jusqu'à quatre moniteurs simultanément. Pour cela, il y a un HDMI avec le dernier standard (2.1) et trois ports DisplayPort (1.4a).

Notre système de test avec AMD Ryzen 9 5900X comme base

Une plateforme AMD actuelle basée sur le Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII sert de système de test. L'unité centrale (AMD Ryzen 9 5900X)offre de bonnes performances CPU et nous utilisons un AIO (Alphacool Eisbear Aurora 360mm) pour le refroidissement. La mémoire de travail de 32 Go provient de Corsair et des horloges à 4000 MHz. Nous utilisons l'Acer Predator XB321HK comme moniteur. Celui-ci ne nous limite pas en raison de sa capacité UHD. Nous tenons à remercier AMD pour avoir fourni la plateforme de test et Corsair pour le kit de RAM.

Les fréquences d'horloge de la MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC

Comme mentionné au début, les fréquences d'horloge du MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC sont égales à celles de l'édition fondatrice de Nvidia. Il en va de même pour la limite de puissance, qui est de 220 watts pour l'ensemble de la carte graphique. De plus, la puissance cible ne peut pas être augmentée davantage dans notre échantillon de test.

Repères synthétiques

Nous avons une première impression de la MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC dans les benchmarks synthétiques. Comme vous pouvez déjà le constater dans les données techniques, notre échantillon de test se classe derrière le GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio, bien que l'écart ne soit que minime et seulement mesurable. Le RTX 3070 est très performant par rapport au GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, que nous avons testé en tant que version personnalisée de KFA2, et peut presque toujours battre le modèle haut de gamme de la génération précédente

Dans nos tests de jeu, le MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC fait un travail légèrement meilleur que dans les benchmarks synthétiques, ce qui signifie que le modèle Gaming X Trio est battu dans certains tests. Les deux modèles MSI sont donc plus proches ici et sont pratiquement aussi rapides. Notre échantillon de test peut également prévaloir en grande partie contre le RTX 2080 Ti. Néanmoins, le GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC s'essouffle dans les très hautes résolutions, de sorte que le modèle supérieur plus ancien est en tête ici. Le GeForce RTX 3070 ne convient que dans une mesure limitée aux jeux 4K car les taux d'images varient beaucoup d'un jeu à l'autre. Le MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC a parfois des problèmes de fluidité de jeu en 2160p avec les derniers jeux. Nous considérons donc que cette carte graphique est plus adaptée pour les jeux en 1440p. Ici, la MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC est toujours performante et peut toujours afficher de bons taux d'images par seconde dans les jeux que nous avons testés.

Ceux qui jouent principalement en 1080p ou 1440p seront assez satisfaits des performances de la MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC. Néanmoins, la VRAM de 8 Go laisse un arrière-goût fade si vous voulez être prêt pour l'avenir. Néanmoins, les 8 GB VRAM sont encore suffisants pour le moment. Comme toujours, nous utilisons le jeu The Witcher 3 (1080p Ultra Preset) pour les temps d'images et la fréquence d'images. Nous n'avons remarqué que quelques latences plus élevées de temps en temps pendant l'enregistrement, mais elles n'ont pas affecté de façon notable le gameplay. La fréquence d'images est également relativement constante dans le temps. Il y a quelques chutes d'images au milieu et à la fin, mais cela n'affecte pas la fluidité du jeu puisqu'il y a toujours au moins 105 images par seconde.

Calcul des performances

Dans LuxMark et ComputeMark, notre GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC perd le duel interne de MSI. La baisse du TDP et du Boost se traduit par une défaite à l'arraché. Néanmoins, le modèle bon marché n'a pas à se cacher car les résultats du benchmark sont dans l'ensemble d'un bon niveau. Les solutions graphiques professionnelles, telles que les modèles Quadro ou Fire Pro, offrent une performance nettement supérieure dans le domaine du calcul grâce aux disques adaptés.

Le site de MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC peut convaincre à tous les niveaux en termes d'émissions. Selon le fabricant, la carte graphique est légèrement plus économe qu'une GeForce RTX 2080 Ti de 220 watts et comparable au modèle haut de gamme de la génération Turing en termes de performances. Dans notre système de test, cela signifie une consommation électrique de 91 watts au ralenti et une moyenne de 336 watts dans le test de stress. Nous avons même mesuré une moyenne de seulement 316 watts pendant le jeu, ce qui est un très bon résultat en comparaison.

En termes d'émissions sonores, le MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC est également très recommandable. Lors du test d'effort, nous avons mesuré 34,6 dB(A) à une distance de 20 centimètres (~8 in) du boîtier. Ici, nous avons éteint tous les ventilateurs du boîtier pour n'enregistrer que la carte graphique. Si nous allumons à nouveau les ventilateurs du boîtier, le niveau de bruit augmente à 37,3 dB(A) pendant le test d'effort, ce qui reste un très bon résultat. La vitesse de rotation des ventilateurs de la carte graphique était d'un peu moins de 1 500 tr/min, ce qui correspond à 44 %. Avec une température maximale de 65 °C (149 °F), notre échantillon de test est resté relativement froid, même sous charge. Bien que le refroidisseur installé semble un peu bon marché par rapport à la variante Gaming X Trio, il a obtenu de très bons résultats avec le RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC.

La MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC est une carte graphique moderne et rapide sans beaucoup de bling bling et est également assez rapide pour jouer tous les titres actuels en 1440p. Ce modèle maîtrise aussi partiellement les jeux en 4K, bien qu'il faille regarder ici de jeu en jeu.

Si vous comparez les performances avec la génération Turing, le GeForce RTX 3070 est à égalité avec un GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, qui était proposé avec un PDSF de 1 249 euros (~1516 $) à la sortie. Pour notre modèle de MSI, le PDSF est maintenant de 529 euros (~642 $). Malheureusement, ces prix ne sont que des vœux pieux pour le moment car la situation du marché est très tendue depuis la sortie des nouvelles cartes graphiques Ampere. Cela a bien sûr un impact sur le prix, qui est juste en dessous de 800 euros (~$971) pour notre échantillon au moment du test. Donc, si vous n'avez pas absolument besoin d'une nouvelle carte graphique, vous devriez être patient jusqu'à ce que Nvidia et les partenaires de la carte puissent livrer des cartes graphiques en quantité suffisante. Ce n'est qu'alors que la situation actuelle devrait s'améliorer. D'un autre côté, la situation ne semble pas s'améliorer pour AMD.

Avec la MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC, vous obtenez une carte graphique Ampère rapide et moderne qui convainc en termes d'émissions.

Mais revenons à la carte graphique. Dans l'ensemble, la MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC offre de bonnes performances et peut également convaincre en termes d'émissions. Le mode d'arrêt du ventilateur assure un fonctionnement silencieux à faible charge, ce qui plaira aux mordus de silence.

Le seul véritable point de critique que nous pouvons mentionner ici est le prix. Mais il faut aussi tenir compte de la longueur de la carte graphique, car on peut exclure ici les boîtiers compacts. Si vous envisagez d'acheter un RTX 3070, vous devriez au moins choisir un modèle de 750 watts pour l'alimentation électrique.
