Il y a peu de choses à reprocher à cet Oppo Find X8 Pro. Pour signer le retour du géant chinois sur le terrain du haut de gamme, il met la barre très haut en se confrontant tranquillement au Galaxy S24 Ultra. Vendu 290 euros moins chers à sa sortie à configuration égale (512 Go), il s'aligne sur presque tous les points et délivre une excellente expérience. Sa polyvalence photo nous a séduits, avec un traitement très chaleureux des clichés (même si le mode nuit pourrait être retravaillé). Son autonomie est tout bonnement bluffante, ses performances sont au niveau escompté pour un téléphone haut de gamme (sans être les meilleures du genre) et son écran somptueux se paye en outre une très bonne calibration et un beau pic de luminosité.

Après quelques années d’absences en France, le retour d’Oppo est plutôt en demi-teinte. On a certes un téléphone de qualité entre les mains, avec de beaux atouts, mais il montre encore des faiblesses qui lui donnent un aspect brouillon. L’IA incomplète, les boutons mal placés, les applications pré-installées trop nombreuses… les petites frustrations sont nombreuses. On pourrait aisément passer outre si la photo de nuit était à la hauteur de son prix, et donc de ses concurrents, mais ce n’est pas le cas. Pour autant, le Find X8 Pro présente un avantage qu’il est impossible de lui enlever : son autonomie et sa charge rapide. Sur ce point, il est incontestablement rassurant. Rien que pour cela, il mérite que l’on s’intéresse à lui, parce qu’il répondra aux besoins de celles et ceux qui ne lâchent jamais leur téléphone et ne souhaitent surtout pas devoir se rapprocher d’une prise de courant vers 18h. On peut bien faire quelques concessions pour avoir un téléphone qui ne s’éteint jamais… non ?

Sa caméra dorsale, co-conçue avec le Suédois Hasselblad, produit de très belles images. On apprécie le téléobjectif constitué de deux modules périscopiques afin de créer un zoom optique continu sur une plage focale comprise entre 23 et 135 millimètres.L'intelligence artificielle prend de plus en plus de place dans ColorOS 15, la dernière version de la surcouche d'OPPO. On apprécie ses capacités en matière d'édition photographique, mais on regrette que les fonctions liées à la génération de texte ne soient pas disponibles en français. Espérons que cela change rapidement. Reste la question du prix.

Du coup, avec le Find X8 Pro, ce n’est plus trop le cas et on trouve qu’Oppo s’est quelque peu assagi. Maintenant, cela n’empêche pas Oppo de nous proposer un smartphone réussi avec le Find X8 Pro. L’Oppo Find X8 Pro est un des smartphones les plus performants sur le marché avec en plus un bloc photo cohérent et polyvalent. On est réellement impressionné par le nouveau SoC Dimensity 9400 qui n’a pas à rougir face à Qualcomm ou Apple. Dans tous les cas, on réalise qu’Oppo n’a pas forcément chercher à proposer tout ce qu’il y a de mieux dans chaque domaine mais s’est plutôt efforcé de trouver le juste milieu afin de proposer une expérience cohérente.

Le Find X8 Pro reprend le flambeau, mais l'émaille de petits défauts. Il se passe des meilleures protections actuelles, zappe le français sur ses outils IA et se loupe en partie sur la photo de nuit alors qu'Oppo était connu pour un volet photo cohérent en toute situation sur ses Find.Est-ce à dire que le Find X8 Pro n'est pas un bon cru ? Non, loin de là. Il est très bien équipé pour son prix et peut s'offrir une belle place de challenger dans son segment. Face à lui, on trouve le Pixel 9 Pro XL, mais avec seulement 128 Go de stockage.

I was excited when I heard the Oppo Find X8 Pro was getting a wider release than the Find X6 Pro, as that phone was one of my favourites of the last couple of years. However, while the Find X8 Pro is excellent, the decision to go with four lenses rather than keep the large sensor for the main lens is a disappointing one for me. It keeps the Find X8 Pro back from greatness, which is a shame. In essence I’ve been spoiled by seeing what is possible, and I don’t want to go back now. Overall, it’s a very well performing device, but it’s reasonably similar to others of its type. The four lenses are all good, but the second of the zoom lenses isn’t amazing, and therefore doesn’t make up for reducing image quality elsewhere – yes I’m complaining about the one-inch sensor being missing, again.

However, while the Find X8 Pro is excellent, the decision to go with four lenses rather than keep the large sensor for the main lens is a disappointing one for me. It keeps the Find X8 Pro back from greatness, which is a shame. In essence I’ve been spoiled by seeing what is possible, and I don’t want to go back now. Overall, it’s a very well performing device, but it’s reasonably similar to others of its type. The four lenses are all good, but the second of the zoom lenses isn’t amazing, and therefore doesn’t make up for reducing image quality elsewhere – yes I’m complaining about the one-inch sensor being missing, again.

The camera system has a few imperfections in our experience, but you can expect that from the Pro when there's an Ultra on the way. Those relatively minor things aside, the Find X8 Pro is a thoroughly competent all-round flagship smartphone. The super powerful chipset is about as good as they come, the battery life is towards the top of the class, the newly-standard next-level water sealing brings extra peace of mind, the camera key can't hurt.

Unlike the previous exaggerated pile of materials, the OPPO Find X8 Pro looks like a more restrained model. On the one hand, it is quite extreme on the technical level, with a huge battery of nearly 6000mAh in a relatively thin body, without even sacrificing performance and endurance, and a dual-submersible quad-camera module, which is conversely thinner and feels better in the hand than some models pursuing a smaller size, and all of these extreme designs are amazing. ARM Immortalis-G925 MC12: Il s'agit d'un GPU intégré rapide pour les processeurs ARM, doté de fonctions matérielles de ray tracing, de précision et de super résolution, ainsi que d'autres technologies modernes. Il est prévu qu'il soit presque aussi rapide que le Qualcomm Adreno 830.
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Dimensity 9400: Le dernier SoC phare de la société taïwanaise pour les téléphones et tablettes haut de gamme Android, à partir de novembre 2024.
