Oppo is back—and how! With the Oppo Find X8 Pro, the smartphone giant from China has made a spectacular return, at least in Europe. After Linkin Park, Oasis, and Trump, it looks like we have another comeback for the year 2024. We are delighted with a genuine premium smartphone with an impressive display and plenty of attention to design details. There's not a bad word to be said about the hardware either; the device's performance is state-of-the-art. When it comes to the software, we are a little annoyed by bloatware and the almost copy-for-copy iOS look. At the same time, however, we were also pleased with the very granular ColorOS 15, which can be adjusted to your personal preferences, and the long software support.

Das Oppo Find X8 Pro ist eines der besten Smartphones, das man kaufen kann. Es ist bei Hard- und Software in fast jeder Hinsicht auf Top-Niveau, echte Schwächen hat es nicht.

Oppo is back with a bang in the Find X8 Pro! Although you can read that in both directions: I think the battery life per charge, general flagship performance and camera consistency is superb; but some software double-ups, a divisive design and poorly-placed Quick Button control aren't going to attract all prospective buyers looking for an Android flagship. There's no doubt that the Oppo Find X8 Pro is every bit the flagship, though, and in my more-than-a-fortnight of use I've become accustomed to battery life that'll knock its competition into submission and a popping display that needn't be dialled down in brightness for sake of longevity. It's those kinds of wins that'll make moving into my next review phone more of a chore – and why the Oppo will stand out where it counts for certain users.

Last but not least, what makes the Oppo Find X8 Pro a great smartphone is the fact that all of the seven above-mentioned features come together really well, making it an exceptional Android smartphone that has something for everyone. If you are a photographer, the phone offers a great set of cameras; for gamers, there is flagship performance; for software enthusiasts, there is the latest Android 15; and on top of that, the large battery ensures more than the all-day battery. Overall, the Oppo Find X8 Pro sets a new benchmark in the world of Android, making it the go-to smartphone for anyone who wants nothing but the best.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro is an excellent Android phone that manages to impress in nearly every department, despite taking obvious inspiration from the iPhone 16 Pro. It sports a quad camera system that’s better than any I’ve used previously, and takes great photos in almost all conditions. The Quick Button gives the camera app its own useful shutter. The display is bright and immersive, and it's tough to get the phone to slow down. However you feel about the originality of Oppo’s ideas, the Find X8 Pro is a fantastic smartphone experience.

Wrapping up, I’m sure that the OPPO Find X8 Pro lives up to the hype. OPPO’s latest flagship excels under almost every segment in this review. It’s one thing for a phone to succeed in one area, but this device took the ball and ran with it. Users are met with a sleek and premium design, smooth display, great cameras, consistent performance, and insane battery life. To top it all off, this smartphone comes with intuitive AI integrations for different tasks too. It might be crazy, but I think that the only thing I don’t like about the device is the bloatware. Then again, it certainly feels like an afterthought, all things considered. OPPO made sure that their personal touches were felt with this device from software to hardware. This was evident with the latest version of ColorOS, the convenience of the slider buttons, and its other features.

The Find X8 Pro is the phone Western Oppo fans have been waiting for. It’s a fantastic flagship, with class-leading performance, fantastic battery life, rapid charging, and sleek looks. The screen is gorgeous and the AI-infused software is pretty slick, too. However, photography is undoubtedly the highlight. This phone captures wonderfully dynamic and detailed shots in pretty much any lighting conditions. The Quick Button might not be as feature-rich as Apple’s Camera Control, and some may prefer how rival brands manage image processing and HDR – but personal taste aside, this is easily up there with the best camera phones on sale today. Price, and the fact many shoppers have moved on to other brands during Oppo’s wilderness years, are what could hold it back.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro is a standout in the flagship smartphone market, offering a blend of cutting-edge technology and elegant design. Its camera system, developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, provides exceptional versatility and quality, making it a top choice for photography enthusiasts. The device’s performance and ergonomics are equally impressive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable user experience. While there are areas for improvement, such as the quick button functionality, the Find X8 Pro remains a compelling option for those seeking a premium smartphone with a strong emphasis on photography and performance.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro represents a strong comeback for Oppo, a company that has been largely absent from the UK and EU markets for the past few years. The phone offers a top-notch experience in most areas, sporting a stylish, minimalistic design with a unique patterned rear and a top-end 6.78-inch AMOLED screen to match. The screen experience is fantastic, with only a minimal curvature that makes swipes from the edges feel nice, though it is a little odd that the regular Find X8 has much slimmer bezels. The cameras are the main event of this show, with four 50MP shooters on the rear including not one but two periscope zoom lenses that reduce the phone’s reliance on purely digital zoom in the 0.5 – 10x range, and even when pushed well past this point, the zoom lenses hold up pretty well.

I'd happily recommend the Oppo Find X8 Pro to anyone who wants a well-balanced flagship phone. The Find X8 Pro might be harder to find in the United States, and its software update schedule is shorter than the best in the business, but everywhere else, this phone is top-tier. Having four cameras on a phone that has a more typical flagship phone price rather than an "ultra" one is remarkable. A battery that's nearly 20% bigger than major rivals, a handsome-looking screen, and competitive benchmark results only reinforce what value you'll gain with the Find X8 Pro. Oppo may have left it a little late in 2024 to launch the Find X8 Pro, but it's a phone of the year contender that could continue to be a thorn in the side of Apple, Samsung and Google well into next year depending on how those companies develop their premium phone offerings.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro is quickly becoming one of my favorite phones in quite some time. OPPO has done so much correct with this phone. Nailing the battery life, charging speeds, cameras, and even the software. Something that we couldn’t say just a few years ago. If I didn’t live in America, I’d likely be rocking this over my Pixel 9 Pro. But should you buy the Find X8 Pro? Well that depends. If you have the Find X7 series (any of them), it’s probably not worth it. But if you want a stellar battery, a great camera, and a stunning display, then you’ll want to get the Find X8 Pro.

The Find X8 Pro is proof that OPPO can roll out a phone to outmatch Samsung. The phone has top-notch hardware, a massive 5910mAh silicon battery that lasts two days, extensive customizability, and a vibrant AMOLED panel. The cameras at the back are among the best I've ever used, and only the Find X7 Ultra and Vivo X100 Ultra can boast a better main camera than what you're getting here. Combine all of that with a design that's thinner and lighter than its rivals, and you get an all-round package that's worthy of your attention.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro is a testament to the company’s ability to innovate and refine. From its exceptional camera system to its enduring battery life and sleek design, the phone checks most of the boxes that flagship buyers look for. While it isn’t without its flaws—such as the slightly underwhelming fingerprint sensor and lower resolution display—it more than makes up for these shortcomings with its strengths. It’s been a hot minute since OPPO dropped its flagship Find X series phones in India, but like we’re seeing with multiple other smartphone OEMS – 2024 is the year that changes. OPPO’s latest flagship, the OPPO Find X8 Pro, enters the premium smartphone market in India, giving Indian users a taste of OPPO’s latest and greatest smartphone innovations.

The Find X8 Pro's flaws are few, smalish, and of somewhat lesser importance than the things it's actually great at. Just because Oppo is choosing to stay away from a brightness competition, doesn't mean you'll be strapped for nits, and unless you absolutely must game above 60fps, you'll be perfectly fine with a Find. The camera system has a few imperfections in our experience, but you can expect that from the Pro when there's an Ultra on the way. Those relatively minor things aside, the Find X8 Pro is a thoroughly competent all-round flagship smartphone. The super powerful chipset is about as good as they come, the battery life is towards the top of the class, the newly-standard next-level water sealing brings extra peace of mind, the camera key can't hurt.

After my initial usage, it's difficult for me to draw a verdict about which phone is better and which phone offers better value. From a camera perspective, the Find X8 Pro definitely has an edge in the zoom department, as not many premium smartphones offer 6X optical zoom these days. As for the Find X8, despite having fewer cameras, it also seems quite capable, but I'll have to test out both devices in different scenarios to see and deduce each phone's strengths and weaknesses, not just with their cameras but with their design, battery life, and displays as well. So, stay tuned for our detailed review of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, which will be out soon.

It is that time of the year. 2024 is sliding towards its end and 2025 is on the horizon. Like everything new, it is also a time for next-generation smartphones to arrive. The Oppo Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro are among the first of this new generation to arrive in India. These are flagship phones with flagship, and next-gen, hardware. They are setting the tone for the upcoming year. Of course, for phone users this is all moot. What matters to them is this: Are the Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro worth buying? Given their performance, cameras and overall quality of hardware, the Find X8 sure seems like a phone worth its price. Yes, there are the OnePlus and Apples and Samsungs out in the market but the Find X8 offers enough to be an excellent option for you. The Find X8 Pro, meanwhile, seems to be on pricier side compared to what it offers.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro checks almost all the boxes you’d expect from a flagship smartphone. The phone offers a stunning display, reliable cameras, and long battery life – all the three important qualities that matter to most customers. The Dimensity 9400 SoC onboard also provides a smooth and snappy performance. As mentioned, its large footprint may not appeal to all customers, and in that case, the Google Pixel 9 Pro is a good option to consider, mainly for the cameras and clean Android UI. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is another decent alternative, which might get additional deals and offers in the coming weeks. At present, the OPPO Find X8 Pro holds a slight edge over rivals like Xiaomi and Vivo thanks to its productivity and camera-linked AI features. It’s an easy recommendation for photography enthusiasts, though it will be interesting to see how OPPO navigates the competition as other OEMs gear up for the next phase of their flagship offerings.

After spending a week with the Oppo Find X8 Pro, I find myself with very few complaints. This phone excels in every metric. It’s powerful, good-looking, has amazing cameras and plenty of software perks too. As a photography enthusiast, who values camera performance over everything else, I’d pick this over the best from Samsung, Apple or Google. No contest. The competition from brands like Vivo and Xiaomi is fierce, but their best camera phones aren’t currently available in the UK. If we’re just talking about phones you can buy locally, the Find X8 Pro is almost certainly the best for photography. I’d happily put up with more heft if it means larger sensors, and I’ve got my fingers crossed that there’s an X8 Ultra on the horizon. For now, though, this is more than good enough.

The new Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro come with a wide range of AI features that improve image and video quality. At the first impression, the camera department won’t disappoint. Both phones appear as a flagship deal with powerful hardware and an improved ColorOS interface. However, the company didn’t reveal the global release since it’s currently china exclusive phone. If you want camera excellence, then Find X8 Pro would be a perfect choice. Whereas, if you want the same camera system in a compact design, choosing the Find X8 would be great. Meanwhile, the same level of camera quality can also be achieved through the Vivo X200 Pro phone. Moreover, you will obtain a cleaner user interface with more Android updates. But still, the final decision is yours, so choose a phone based on your needs.

Unlike the previous exaggerated pile of materials, the OPPO Find X8 Pro looks like a more restrained model. On the one hand, it is quite extreme on the technical level, with a huge battery of nearly 6000mAh in a relatively thin body, without even sacrificing performance and endurance, and a dual-submersible quad-camera module, which is conversely thinner and feels better in the hand than some models pursuing a smaller size, and all of these extreme designs are amazing. On the other hand, it does not pursue extreme parameters. For example, in terms of sensor size, screen resolution and fast charging power, it does not seem to be so prominent, it seems that OPPO Find X8 Pro seems to be looking for an experience of the “dessert”, to ensure that the user's performance and image experience at the same time, but also to do a good feel and high value, which is also a special feature of the image flagship.
