The OnePlus Nord N10 is not the phone I was expecting from OnePlus in late 2020. It’s an affordable mid-ranger with a pretty face and a pretty price point, but it lacks the depth I want from a phone even at this level. In its favor, the OnePlus Nord N10 counts a respectable design, a fine display, and better-than-expected cameras. In the con column, the N1o notches average build quality, middling performance, and 5G of questionable value. The biggest problem facing the N10, however, is the single system update. The OnePlus Nord N10 is not a bad phone, but in a world where the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G exist, it’s hard to recommend without serious reservations.

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is a low-cost way to get 5G connectivity as well as other premium features like a fast refresh display. Turn to the Pixel 4a 5G if you want the best cameras, but the OnePlus Nord N10 beats a lot of rivals on price.

OnePlus is selling the phone for $300 in the US, which is an awkward spot. For $50 more, I think the Pixel 4a is still a better phone — we gave it our Editors' Choice award, after all. In the EU, you can get the OG Nord for just €50 more, and it's also better in every possible way. But now that OnePlus has fixed the phone's biggest issues and extended software updates for an extra year, it's actually a good value, too. Kudos, OnePlus, you made the N10 5G into a good phone. On top of that, there are carrier promotions to consider. If you pick one up through T-Mobile, you probably won't end up paying MSRP. And, of course, it's got that 5G connectivity that has folks more excited than they should be — though this phone lacks the super-fast mmWave 5G you probably won't have in your town anyway. The N10 5G didn't start life as a good phone, but it is one now.

The Nord range in general and the Nord N10 5G in particular sees OnePlus stretching out across more price points and into more territories – with that in mind it's perhaps inevitable that some of the OnePlus quality and innovation is going to get stretched pretty thin. The bottom line is you've got respectable performance, a decent camera, and reliably long battery life for a very fair price.

Having said that, there are quite a few alternatives in this price range. For instance, the recently launched realme 8 Pro is a slightly more powerful device and has a 108MP main camera for RM1299. Another option is the recently unveiled Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which comes with a notably more powerful chipset but less RAM (6GB) for its cheapest variant (~RM1264). So, that's it for our review of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. What do you think about this mid-range device, would you be interested in getting it? Let us know in the comments below! Its nice to see OnePlus go back to this price point they started at and hopefully pull in some new fans along the way. Nord N10 5G gives you what you expect for its cost but also feels more like a mid-tier device rather than a budget one. It makes 5G affordable while also giving you a speedy 90Hz display and fast charging you don’t normally see for $300. I would be interested to see if they keep the Nord line alive or this was just to test the affordable waters.

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G sees OnePlus expanding its range even further, giving you 5G and decent performance for not very much money at all. However, if you're in a part of the world where the original Nord is sold, that phone might be the better option for you.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started my OnePlus Nord N10 5G review, as some of the stripped-down specs from the OnePlus Nord made me worry that U.S. users would be missing out on the value that the original Nord had brought to other parts of the world. As it turned out, I needn't have fretted.

Motorola's Moto G series has frequently topped our Editors' Choice list for budget phones, and when the 2021 models failed to make the grade, we received reader email asking which low-cost phone is the best. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is our answer. It ticks off all the necessities, has very good cameras for the price, keeps budget phone features such as the headphone jack, and adds a few perks such as 5G connectivity and a 90Hz display.

Even with Carl Pei leaving the company to work on Nothing, it seems that OnePlus may have something here with its Nord lineup of smartphones. For just $299, you can get a phone with a 90Hz refresh rate, a solid display, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a headphone jack, and of course, 5G connectivity. It’s really difficult to not just sit here and say that the N10 5G isn’t a home run, but there’s one glaring issue.

The Nord N10 5G is a shining example of why you don’t need to spend $1,000-plus on a smartphone. For significantly less, you get a capable smartphone packed with 128GB of storage space, a reliable battery, a headphone jack, a microSD card slot, a large display, and decent cameras.

OnePlus finally brought the Nord to US shores, but the Nord N10 5G was geared toward a much more budget friendly segment of the market than the original. The result is a phone that feels very dialed back -- almost to the point of it feeling like a completely different OnePlus experience. JV provides his thoughts.

The OnePlus Nord N10 is a really interesting addition to OnePlus’s mid-range line-up and currently one of the affordable 5G phones with a big screen, good enough camera, decent battery life, and acceptable performance at the price of PHP 14,990. The 90Hz refresh rate is also a nice feature, which does improve the daily user experience. However, there are smartphones around the same price that offers better screens, performance, cameras, and still 5G-enabled. But if you’re into OnePlus, this is the most affordable 5G phone you can get from the brand right now.

As we said in our more in-depth, original review, the Nord N10 5G is a solid handset if you can look past the plastic build, frumpy chin, and middling cameras. It delivers a quality display, great audio performance, superb battery life, and -- most importantly -- an outstanding user experience. In Europe, €349 isn’t the best deal when the solid Realme 7 5G exists for just €279. But here in the US, the $299 N10 5G is priced right. This makes it a fantastic value -- if you’re on T-Mobile.

This is a very cheap 5G phone with a big screen and decent all-around performance. OnePlus has made some smart sacrifices to get to that $300 price point, and the result is a device with many nice attributes but without a major standout feature. If there’s a particular feature that you prioritize on your phone, like multi-day battery life or an above-average camera, then you can do better around the same price or a little more.

If you are a fan of OnePlus devices, or if you want an Android phone that will get the job done but won’t break the bank, check out the OnePlus Nord N10 5G when it finally arrives in the US. With the N10 5G, OnePlus went back to its roots. And that’s a very good thing! The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is meant to offer the OnePlus experience at a lower price since the company’s flagships have slowly moved out of reach for many fans of the brand. To bring the price down, OnePlus was forced to make some compromises, but they were made with the aforementioned fans in mind. The Nord N10 has all the essential features of a OnePlus phone: 90Hz display, Warp charging and snappy software. Yes, it’s not a performance powerhouse, but expectations have to be tuned according to the price. What matters is that it manages to deliver great value, which is what OnePlus was originally all about.

Something of a curveball launch from OnePlus. In the markets where it’s the only Nord-branded phone, it’s a well-priced, affordable Android phone with few negatives. But in pretty much every department, the first Nord is better and doesn't cost a lot more.

This phone is missing the special sauce that makes OnePlus stand out. Perhaps if it had a standout feature (besides 5G), it would have been more in line with the OnePlus philosophy to "Never Settle." The OnePlus N10 5G is a solid mid-range phone without much edge on the competition aside from a 90Hz refresh rate display, some high-megapixel cameras, and fast 30W charging. It's a great lower-cost version of the OnePlus experience, though it's not the fastest, nor does it have the most battery, nor does it take the best photos of its mid-range contingent. Rather, it's a good all-around phone – and one of the cheapest 5G-capable handsets on the market.

That said, the Nord N10 5G competes with other phones in the $500-$600 price range and outdoes almost all of them, except for the excellent and cheaper Google Pixel 4a. The Nord N10 doesn’t seem to be the usual quality I expect from OnePlus, but so far it appears to be a decent cheap 5G phone at least. I can’t see it appealing to OnePlus die-hards though, which is a shame given the distinct brand this phone heralds from.

This is also officially the end of an era for OnePlus. The price of this device is similar to the original OnePlus One, but it's no flagship killer. OnePlus makes killer flagships, but it's lineup is starting to look like any other Android OEM's. It's got roughly five tiers now. The Nord N100 is entry-level, the Nord N10 is mid-range, the Nord is high-end, and then it has non-Pro and Pro flagship tiers.

But if you’re already familiar with OnePlus’ other products, the N10 5G may not elicit much excitement. It requires many compromises, and doesn’t live up to the company’s “Never Settle” slogan. Commentaire
Qualcomm Adreno 619L:
