The OnePlus Nord N10 is not the phone I was expecting from OnePlus in late 2020. It’s an affordable mid-ranger with a pretty face and a pretty price point, but it lacks the depth I want from a phone even at this level. In its favor, the OnePlus Nord N10 counts a respectable design, a fine display, and better-than-expected cameras. In the con column, the N1o notches average build quality, middling performance, and 5G of questionable value. The biggest problem facing the N10, however, is the single system update. The OnePlus Nord N10 is not a bad phone, but in a world where the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G exist, it’s hard to recommend without serious reservations.

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is a low-cost way to get 5G connectivity as well as other premium features like a fast refresh display. Turn to the Pixel 4a 5G if you want the best cameras, but the OnePlus Nord N10 beats a lot of rivals on price.

OnePlus is selling the phone for $300 in the US, which is an awkward spot. For $50 more, I think the Pixel 4a is still a better phone — we gave it our Editors' Choice award, after all. In the EU, you can get the OG Nord for just €50 more, and it's also better in every possible way. But now that OnePlus has fixed the phone's biggest issues and extended software updates for an extra year, it's actually a good value, too. Kudos, OnePlus, you made the N10 5G into a good phone. On top of that, there are carrier promotions to consider. If you pick one up through T-Mobile, you probably won't end up paying MSRP. And, of course, it's got that 5G connectivity that has folks more excited than they should be — though this phone lacks the super-fast mmWave 5G you probably won't have in your town anyway. The N10 5G didn't start life as a good phone, but it is one now.

The Nord range in general and the Nord N10 5G in particular sees OnePlus stretching out across more price points and into more territories – with that in mind it's perhaps inevitable that some of the OnePlus quality and innovation is going to get stretched pretty thin. The bottom line is you've got respectable performance, a decent camera, and reliably long battery life for a very fair price.

Having said that, there are quite a few alternatives in this price range. For instance, the recently launched realme 8 Pro is a slightly more powerful device and has a 108MP main camera for RM1299. Another option is the recently unveiled Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which comes with a notably more powerful chipset but less RAM (6GB) for its cheapest variant (~RM1264). So, that's it for our review of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. What do you think about this mid-range device, would you be interested in getting it? Let us know in the comments below! Its nice to see OnePlus go back to this price point they started at and hopefully pull in some new fans along the way. Nord N10 5G gives you what you expect for its cost but also feels more like a mid-tier device rather than a budget one. It makes 5G affordable while also giving you a speedy 90Hz display and fast charging you don’t normally see for $300. I would be interested to see if they keep the Nord line alive or this was just to test the affordable waters.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started my OnePlus Nord N10 5G review, as some of the stripped-down specs from the OnePlus Nord made me worry that U.S. users would be missing out on the value that the original Nord had brought to other parts of the world. As it turned out, I needn't have fretted.

Motorola's Moto G series has frequently topped our Editors' Choice list for budget phones, and when the 2021 models failed to make the grade, we received reader email asking which low-cost phone is the best. Even with Carl Pei leaving the company to work on Nothing, it seems that OnePlus may have something here with its Nord lineup of smartphones. For just $299, you can get a phone with a 90Hz refresh rate, a solid display, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a headphone jack, and of course, 5G connectivity. It’s really difficult to not just sit here and say that the N10 5G isn’t a home run, but there’s one glaring issue.

OnePlus finally brought the Nord to US shores, but the Nord N10 5G was geared toward a much more budget friendly segment of the market than the original. The result is a phone that feels very dialed back -- almost to the point of it feeling like a completely different OnePlus experience. JV provides his thoughts.

The OnePlus Nord N10 is a really interesting addition to OnePlus’s mid-range line-up and currently one of the affordable 5G phones with a big screen, good enough camera, decent battery life, and acceptable performance at the price of PHP 14,990. The 90Hz refresh rate is also a nice feature, which does improve the daily user experience. However, there are smartphones around the same price that offers better screens, performance, cameras, and still 5G-enabled. But if you’re into OnePlus, this is the most affordable 5G phone you can get from the brand right now.

As we said in our more in-depth, original review, the Nord N10 5G is a solid handset if you can look past the plastic build, frumpy chin, and middling cameras. It delivers a quality display, great audio performance, superb battery life, and -- most importantly -- an outstanding user experience. In Europe, €349 isn’t the best deal when the solid Realme 7 5G exists for just €279. But here in the US, the $299 N10 5G is priced right. This makes it a fantastic value -- if you’re on T-Mobile.

This is a very cheap 5G phone with a big screen and decent all-around performance. OnePlus has made some smart sacrifices to get to that $300 price point, and the result is a device with many nice attributes but without a major standout feature. If there’s a particular feature that you prioritize on your phone, like multi-day battery life or an above-average camera, then you can do better around the same price or a little more.

If you are a fan of OnePlus devices, or if you want an Android phone that will get the job done but won’t break the bank, check out the OnePlus Nord N10 5G when it finally arrives in the US. With the N10 5G, OnePlus went back to its roots. And that’s a very good thing! We don’t have a US price or availability yet, but we will update this review with that info once the phone is available stateside.

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is meant to offer the OnePlus experience at a lower price since the company’s flagships have slowly moved out of reach for many fans of the brand. To bring the price down, OnePlus was forced to make some compromises, but they were made with the aforementioned fans in mind. The Nord N10 has all the essential features of a OnePlus phone: 90Hz display, Warp charging and snappy software. Yes, it’s not a performance powerhouse, but expectations have to be tuned according to the price. What matters is that it manages to deliver great value, which is what OnePlus was originally all about.

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G sees OnePlus expanding its range even further, giving you 5G and decent performance for not very much money at all. However, if you're in a part of the world where the original Nord is sold, that phone might be the better option for you.

Something of a curveball launch from OnePlus. In the markets where it’s the only Nord-branded phone, it’s a well-priced, affordable Android phone with few negatives. But in pretty much every department, the first Nord is better and doesn't cost a lot more.

This phone is missing the special sauce that makes OnePlus stand out. Perhaps if it had a standout feature (besides 5G), it would have been more in line with the OnePlus philosophy to "Never Settle." If it wasn't for the logo and OnePlus branding, the N10 5G would be just another slab in a crowd of slabs.

The OnePlus N10 5G is a solid mid-range phone without much edge on the competition aside from a 90Hz refresh rate display, some high-megapixel cameras, and fast 30W charging. It's a great lower-cost version of the OnePlus experience, though it's not the fastest, nor does it have the most battery, nor does it take the best photos of its mid-range contingent. Rather, it's a good all-around phone – and one of the cheapest 5G-capable handsets on the market.

That said, the Nord N10 5G competes with other phones in the $500-$600 price range and outdoes almost all of them, except for the excellent and cheaper Google Pixel 4a. While the first Nord was a mid-range phone competing in a flagship space, the N10 5G feels like a low-cost phone masquerading as a mid-range device.

The Nord N10 doesn’t seem to be the usual quality I expect from OnePlus, but so far it appears to be a decent cheap 5G phone at least. I can’t see it appealing to OnePlus die-hards though, which is a shame given the distinct brand this phone heralds from.

The OnePlus Nord N10 is a solid piece of hardware. There is a lot to like about its mid-range design, though there are certainly some questionable omissions, such as the ringer switch and Android 11. It’s supposed to be an affordable phone, and it is.

This is also officially the end of an era for OnePlus. The price of this device is similar to the original OnePlus One, but it's no flagship killer. OnePlus makes killer flagships, but it's lineup is starting to look like any other Android OEM's. It's got roughly five tiers now. The Nord N100 is entry-level, the Nord N10 is mid-range, the Nord is high-end, and then it has non-Pro and Pro flagship tiers.

But if you’re already familiar with OnePlus’ other products, the N10 5G may not elicit much excitement. It requires many compromises, and doesn’t live up to the company’s “Never Settle” slogan. The device's performance doesn't stand out, its value proposition isn't particularly stone, and where’s the alert slider?

The Nord N10 5G might not be a perfect phone, but it is undoubtedly one of the best in this price range. With a large display, premium design, flexible (if mediocre) quad cameras, and long battery life, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G earns my recommendation for budget shoppers who need a reliable device with modern features.

The OnePlus Nord N100 hits a desperately needed sweet spot for budget phone shoppers. It impresses with solid performance, a bright and vivid display, and long battery life. On the flip side, its cameras are mediocre, LTE band support could be better, and the thin plastic backplate feels cheap.

The OnePlus Nord N100 aims to deliver good value for money. With a big battery, 90Hz panel, and Oxygen OS, it's a decent attempt to keep up with the competition. However, to achieve this, it heavily compromises its camera, design, and performance. Ultimately, there are better options out there that won't need replacing as quickly.

Is the Nord N200 for you? If you want a cheap entry point to 5G, the OnePlus Nord N200 delivers on the basics. For many, that might be enough. If you’re purely a OnePlus fan on a tight budget, the Nord N200 may be a rebadged Oppo phone, but it makes the right upgrades to the Nord N100 to make the jump. Just make sure that 5G is an important factor in your purchasing decision because if it’s not, there are plenty of other robust alternatives out there.

The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is a good phone, but it's no flagship. Spec-chasers will steer clear of this device anyway, but those who have a tight budget should be pleased with their purchase. For under $250, you get excellent build quality and design, a beautiful screen and software experience, and outstanding battery life. The addition of 5G to such an affordable phone should open up new worlds of connectivity to those who previously didn't have access to it, and that is commendable. The cameras aren't the best, but that shouldn't come as a shock, and in the right hands and under the right conditions, you should be able to get some good shots. The biggest letdown here (and with the other Nord phones) is that the N200 5G is only scheduled to get one major Android platform update. I don't expect miracles at this price point, but other OEMs offer at least two years of Android updates. But if that doesn't matter that much to you, you're going to come away with a really nice device for the price.

The OnePlus Nord N200 makes a case for 5G phones on a budget. Prior to its arrival, you were looking at the $250-$300 range for affordable 5G. Now, 5G can be had for even less thanks to OnePlus. But 5G isn’t everything. The Nord N200 has a fine 90Hz screen, something few phones in this price range offer. It also has crushing battery life thanks to a beefy 5,000mAh power cell. That battery life is tempered a bit by the phone’s performance, which is held back some by the Snapdragon 480 processor. A gaming powerhouse this phone is not. Uneven performance by the camera also holds the phone back to a degree, but you’ll struggle to find a budget phone that has a stellar shooter. You’d have to spend $100 more to get the Google Pixel 4a for the best camera in this segment. But how does it stack up to other OnePlus phones? The Nord N200 is a slight upgrade from the Nord N100 in that it has a better processor and sharper screen, and also 5G.

When you stop to think about how many high-end features of yesteryear have made it down to a sub-$300 phone, it boggles my mind. I remember the first 90Hz screen I used on a high-end phone not too long ago, and now users with stricter budgets can enjoy some of the same great experiences. So it doesn’t take the best photos, the screen isn’t knock-down gorgeous, and not as many apps stay in memory compared to US$1,000+ phones. But why would you expect that? The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is worth considering for anyone who wants the fastest connectivity and one of the best Android OS experiences available. They can have it here—and still find plenty of money left in their wallet.

OnePlus’s Nord series has brought the brand’s blend of value and trendsetting features to more accessible price points. Continuing this trend, the new Nord N200 5G arrives at just $240, with a sleek design, superb display, and excellent battery life, making it an attractive proposition for many. In fact, if not for its mediocre cameras, the phone might challenge competitors priced much higher. Overall, the N200 makes most of the right tradeoffs to get a futureproof device at this price point. Despite its weak showing in the photography front, this latest OnePlus device is basically the best 5G phone you can buy for under $250.

If you need a phone and only have $320 I would push you towards the Nord N200 5G since the features phones typically offer at this price point are pretty bleak. However, if you were able to wrangle up a few hundred more dollars, I think most people would be better off with the $475 Pixel 4a. It’s not that the Nord N200 is an unusable phone (minus my LTE issue) it’s just that it’s very bare bones and OnePlus didn’t really cut the right corners to provide the best phone experience. I'd prefer if the N200 was a bit smaller, cut the zoom/ultrawide lenses and featured a better haptic engine and chipset in the handset instead. In the end, the Nord N200 features a decent screen and a processor that can run multiple apps at once for $320 -- any way you look at it, this is an undeniably great deal, especially if you don’t care that much about photography.

The main selling point of the OnePlus Nord N200 smartphone would be its robust value according to specs, although it had budget level specs, it was still able to add value to users. The camera’s technology may not be upgraded from the previous model, but the selfie camera lens is noteworthy. But in the end, it’s just a downgrade OnePlus device with simple features. On the other hand, the battery and performance aspects are suitable for everyday use. In short, you can choose this device if you are looking for a budget 5G phone. If you’re looking for an alternative option and budget is not a problem, check out the Vivo V21 5G smartphone in the meantime.

With a price tag of $239.99($216 on T-Mobile), it makes the N200 5G one of the cheapest and accessible ways to 5G connectivity. Its performance is a mixed bag with some apps running fine and others lagging and if gaming gets intensive will slow up. It does have a solid build that reminds of their older flagships. Cameras are disappointing and wish they utilized some of the magic in their Nord N10. While $60 maybe a difference for some, IF you can and would like to experience a bit more of OnePlus, I’d suggest the Nord N10 5G which is $299.99.

The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is the best sub-$250 phone I’ve used. I’m still blown away by the fit and finish OnePlus delivered in a phone this cheap, but there are a couple of tradeoffs I couldn't live with. Chief among these is the camera. If you have any aspirations to take photos or videos with your phone then you will need to leave them at the door as the Nord N200's cameras fall flat. It’s always possible for OnePlus to improve the software, but don’t buy the phone counting on that happening.

There is so much to like about the Nord 200 5G that it's easy to forget about the areas where it lets you down. The phone looks and feels more like a flagship than any other sub $300 phone I've used, with a gorgeous 90Hz screen and solid matte plastic Blue Quantum body. Its Snapdragon 480 chip handles everyday tasks surprisingly well, and its battery life is jaw-droppingly good, but its cameras are middling, and its long-term software support is underwhelming. The phone will only see one major platform update (Android 12), though it will get up to three years of security updates. That's frustrating for a device that otherwise could easily last you three or four years.

The answer to whether you should buy the $239 OnePlus Nord N200 5G depends a lot on who your wireless carrier is. If you’re on T-Mobile — and thanks to a generous trade-in offer and a carrier exclusive, you probably are if you’re considering the N200 — then this is a fine, basic device that will allow you to take advantage of the company’s good 5G network at a very low price. The N200 5G will only work on Verizon and AT&T’s 4G networks, however, so if you’re with either of those carriers, it’s not your best option.

For less than $250, the Nord N200 offers some impressive specs on paper. Things like a 90hz screen, 5G connectivity, a triple camera system and a 5,000mAh battery are rarities at this price and make the phone seem like a steal. In actuality, though, most of those highlights are better on paper than in real life. Pay $100 more and you’ll get an almost flagship-level phone in the Pixel 4a, which has an excellent camera, great performance and a nice OLED display. It may not refresh as quickly or last as long, but it’ll serve you well. If you can hold off a little longer, you might want to wait till August, when we expect the next of Google’s affordable handsets to be launched. For now, the Nord N200 5G is really only for diehard OnePlus fans who want a 90hz screen in a super long-lasting 5G phone for cheap.

With 5G quickly becoming the standard for most devices these days, it’s no longer a standout feature that can be used as the main selling point for a smartphone. Besides being the cheapest 5G smartphone currently available in the US, the only other selling point for the OnePlus Nord N200 is its outstanding battery life. Since it’s a pretty cheap phone, the performance offered by the device and the quality of its cameras is to be expected. But if you have an extra $50 you can spend, my recommendation would be to find another budget-friendly phone, like the Galaxy A32, that will deliver a noticeably better overall experience.

OnePlus has long stood for affordable quality. Its business model has changed over the last year with the introduction of the Nord line, and that’s fine. This phone, while it stands tall as a $240 device, is not something I would have foreseen from OnePlus a year ago. Is the Nord N200 for you? If you want the cheapest entry point to 5G, the OnePlus Nord N200 delivers on the basics. For many, that might be enough. The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is an admirable successor to the OnePlus N100. It’s more powerful, offers solid sub-6GHz 5G connectivity, and has a more responsive fingerprint sensor, and the display is incredible. It stands up well against other phones in its class, though the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G edges it out on a few points. OnePlus's own Nord N10 is still our favorite budget phone, but the $60 difference between the N200 and the N10 is significant at this price point. If you have more to spend and want a stylus and a brighter screen, the $399.99 Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G is also worth a look. We could wish OnePlus had made more improvements to the N200’s cameras and offered the generous software update policy you get with the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G. But despite the N200's drawbacks, we still think it is among the best budget phone values you can find, especially if you manage to score one for free through a carrier deal.

The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is a refreshed version of the more mid-range OnePlus Nord N100 that launched last year, with slightly better specs and, yes, 5G connectivity. While it’s no surprise that OnePlus would release another affordable phone to make a play for the budget market, it is strange that the brand is only aiming it at the US and Canada – surely there are other regions that would appreciate OnePlus’ newest cheap phone. Which, in itself, feels like OnePlus trying to return to the lean, affordable yet powerful configuration that made the brand popular.

We like the N200 5G’s inspired design, lovely display, fantastic battery life, and great user experience. Even this phone's cameras perform better than its specs imply. The only major drawback is the limited amount of RAM and storage. If that’s something you can live with, the N200 5G will be available unlocked for $240 from OnePlus starting June 25. It’s also coming to T-Mobile for $216 -- or $9 per month for 24 months.

After using the two head-to-head over the past month or so its hard to really pick the N300 over the N20 other than pricing. The N30 is $228 but is exclusive to T-Mobile. The N20 is $282 on T-Mobile but you can usually catch its unlocked variant on sale at retailers like Amazon / Best Buy for $249.99 or less. You get more RAM, storage, better display, and camera system. Even if you couldn’t find it on sale its still worth paying the price difference.

It's easy to be spoiled by the glitz and glamour of flagship smartphones, but I'm genuinely surprised by how well the OnePlus Nord N20 5G holds its ground in the sub-$300 level. For the price, it's one of the cheapest phones to have a quality AMOLED panel, the performance is admirable, and the battery and charging lead the budget pack. By shopping for the right parts, OnePlus has created a 5G handset that delivers where it matters the most. Just make sure to double-check whether you're buying the T-Mobile model or unlocked.

The Nord N20 5G is a good device that provides decent bang for your buck for a few reasons. The first is that while the phone is $300, it doesn’t feel cheap in the hand. The look and feel of the phone are in line with pricier phones like the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G or Galaxy A53 – a real win for OnePlus. Second is the Snapdragon 695, delivering solid performance even though it’s not the top-of-the-line chip from Qualcomm. There are a few downsides of the Nord N20 5G, including the lack of a high refresh rate on the display, no official waterproofing on the international variant, the weak vibration motor and the one Android update, but these won’t be dealbreakers for everybody.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G ($269), which, aside from processing power and a slight hit in charging speeds, is an all-around more reliable daily driver that will be supported for much longer. Then there’s the newer Galaxy A33 5G (~$300), which offers even more than its predecessor. It’s not officially available in the US, but you can get the international model on Amazon. Alternatively, if you can push your budget a little further, the Google Pixel 6a ($449) and Samsung Galaxy A53 5G ($449) are huge upgrades that are worth the extra money. If you really want a OnePlus phone, the OnePlus 8T is still available for just $349 at the time of this writing. It’s far from OnePlus’ greatest phone by some margin, but it’s a massive improvement over the Nord N20 thanks to flagship silicon, a 120Hz refresh rate, better cameras, and 65W charging. If it’s still in stock when you’re reading this, grab it while you can.

The OnePlus Nord N20 5G smartphone comes with T-mobile and A&T carriers support so that you won’t face any problems with the 5G connectivity. The first impression of this phone is pretty good as you are getting enough perks that will enhance the user experience. You are getting a pretty standard display, robust performance, and stunning photography quality. Despite this, the overall specs are mediocre compared to other smartphone market providers. If you are not looking for a cheap alternative to the OnePlus phone, we recommend you check out an alternative that will provide great value than this phone. The first smartphone that comes to our mind would be the Galaxy A33. It offers all-rounder specs and offering robust user-centric features too. But in the end, buying any phone depends on your requirement so choose from your heart.

For $282, the OnePlus Nord N20 is definitely the best phone for the money. Even with lackluster cameras and the shamelessly bad software update policy, this phone is still a good buy if your phone budget maxes out at $300, especially now that you can buy the Nord N20 unlocked. The Nord N20 and Moto G Stylus (2022) trade blows pretty evenly. The Nord looks and feels better, not to mention the stronger performance and better display. But the battery doesn’t last quite as long (a little more than an hour shy of the Moto) and the cameras are pretty bad — I didn’t think I could see cameras worse than the Moto in 2022. And then there’s software support. Again, I didn’t think a phone maker could do as bad as Motorola, but OnePlus managed to. You’re only guaranteed to get a version of Android that’s already six months old. That’s pathetic. However, if you’re strapped for cash and need a new phone, then the OnePlus Nord N20 should be at the top of your list. If you have more flexibility, then I’d suggest checking out the $429 iPhone SE (2022) or $449 Galaxy A53 as more fully featured alternatives.

For less than $300, the OnePlus Nord N20 is an easily recommendable budget 5G phone. Slick performance and a bright, punchy OLED display compensate for the sub-par camera system. There are three rear cameras but two are almost redundant, so OnePlus would have been better off focusing on just one. Put that aside, though, and the Nord N20 gives a lot for very little money.

In the context of the US market, OnePlus is in a great position with T-Mobile and Metro to be offering smartphones in its Nord lineup that are well-equipped and intended for the pre-paid market. The Nord N20 brings a great AMOLED screen with in-display scanner, excellent battery life, all packed in an attractive and sleek plastic body. There is no shortage of devices to choose from in this segment outside the US, but if you're buying from the carrier within the US, and that carrier happens to be T-Mobile or Metro, and you have a strict budget of $300 or less, then the Nord N20 5G should be one of your top choices for a 5G phone in this the price bracket.

It's easy to be spoiled by the glitz and glamour of flagship smartphones, but I'm genuinely surprised by how well the OnePlus Nord N20 5G holds its ground in the sub-$300 level. At $282, it's one of the cheapest phones to have a quality AMOLED panel, the performance is admirable, and the battery and charging lead the budget pack. By shopping for the right parts, OnePlus has created a 5G handheld that's very satisfying. Just make sure you're on the T-Mobile network.

At just $282, there's no better example of how to cram incredible value into a gorgeous-looking and feeling phone shell. Almost everything about this phone screams excellent, and you'd be hard-pressed to find anything even remotely close to this good at this price. It's hard to imagine it getting any better without being more expensive.

In 2021, OnePlus offered two low-cost phones on T-Mobile: the $299 N10 and the $239 N200. The N20 serves as the successor to both of those devices; it just about splits the cost between them, and offers an experience that is mostly consistent with its $282 price. OnePlus could have designed the N20 better for the US market, though I suspect the company spent much more time this year integrating with Oppo and spinning out new models for international markets. Thus, Samsung’s Galaxy A32 5G remains more in tune with the needs of most US phone owners. The Nord N20 falls a bit short of the Galaxy A32 in benchmarks and camera performance, but is worth considering if you prefer its better looks and superior screen.

But the N20 is a better choice if you’re looking for a great screen and a more sophisticated software experience. You’ll also get double the built-in storage and 2GB more RAM than the 64GB / 4GB RAM version of the A32 5G sold in the US. We interact with our phones roughly a million times per day, so it’s worth making sure the device you pick is one that you enjoy using. Personally, I’d find a way to live without an ultrawide camera and pick the N20 over the A32 just based on its enjoyability factor. It’s OnePlus at its finest — delivering an experience that feels like it cost more than it actually did.

The OnePlus Nord N20 offers users a lot of capability for the money. As a daily driver, it has everything most people will need, and its only faults are either fixable or just things that would have made life slightly easier. For your $282 you're getting an AMOLED display, functional camera, and enough firepower to handle everyday tasks with ease. The phone's camera and specifications will only limit serious users who aren't going to be browsing through the mid-range for a new phone anyway. Features like the under-screen thumbprint sensor may give it an edge over competitors like Samsung's Galaxy A series of phones. There are, of course, better phones on the market. But they all cost more. If the current mid-range offerings, which I'd say the N20 is an excellent example of, are anything to go by then smartphone technology has hit a point where you see diminishing returns past the $300 mark. If you need a specific feature the N20 doesn't have, ask yourself if it's worth the additional cash — because if you just want a good smartphone you have one for $282.

The OnePlus Nord N20 is a phone with some benefits but more compromises. In general, the hardware has an improved personality thanks to the redesign and it stands out more than some of the vanilla competitors. The screen is solid for this class of device, though we can bemoan the slower 60Hz refresh rate. Battery life is very good, as is the charging speed, as well as the everyday performance of the phone. The Nord N20 lands a bit behind the curve, however, when it comes to the crummy haptics, fingerprint reader, camera performance, and the weak mono speaker. If you really want a OnePlus phone, the OnePlus 8T is still available for just $349 at the time of this writing. Yes, OnePlus is changing. But if the OnePlus Nord N20 5G is any indication, the company still has some of its mojo left. This phone’s design is absolutely brilliant, the AMOLED screen is gorgeous, battery life is fantastic, and the software – while slightly different – remains pleasant to use. Oh, and there’s a headphone jack and a 33W charger in the box. Most importantly, here in the US, the N20 5G brings excellent value to the table. Still, there’s room for improvement. The 60Hz refresh rate is a bummer, the lack of ultrawide shooter is a miss, and performance needs some fine tuning. Finally, an alert slider and stereo speakers would have sealed the deal. But if you can live with these limitations, the N20 5G will be available for $282 (or $11.75 per month for 24 months) from T-Mobile starting April 28, and will be coming to OnePlus (unlocked) soon.

In general, we don’t recommend readers go with a 5G phone that comes under the $150 price tag, since you are losing a lot for just that tag. Hopefully, that’s not the case for the OnePlus Nord N20 SE because it offers 4G connectivity with a comparatively good set of specs and features to give interested users a balanced smartphone choice. You should purchase this phone if you are not planning to move to 5G connectivity anytime soon. Besides this, there are several other options that appear in the same price range, and if you are looking for an alternative option, then you can check out the Vivo iQOO Z6 Lite smartphone, which comes with a better display and octa-core processing speed. The final decision is in your hand to choose as per your budget and requirement.

The reality, however, is that there are much better products at similar prices out there with superior specs in almost all aspects. So, do share this review with your friends and family to prevent them from making a big mistake buying this phone! OnePlus Nord N20 SE is an awful value-for-money phone.

If all this has made the OnePlus Nord N300 5G sound like a bit of a mess, you're missing the point. This is not a phone that does any one thing the best — it's certainly not even close to the most powerful, nor feature-rich option around, and if you need to save money above all else, you can still find cheaper phones. But what this does represent is an intelligent balance of trade-offs. Nothing's the worst, nothing's the best, and I think most importantly, using the N300 5G doesn't leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. It's a phone you can live with, which is a lot more than I can say for many extreme budget models. At under $230, and with support from a major US carrier, I can easily see myself recommending this handset to someone shopping for a new phone, but who maybe doesn't care that much what they ultimately end up with. It's a good phone for people for whom smartphones are an afterthought, and lest that sound like faint praise, this is actually one situation where "not bad" ends up being "pretty good."

The OnePlus Nord N300 smartphone comes with decent specs in the budget range. The phone has made its name in the budget segment, besides this, the phone has got key features that an average user demands in their daily usage. It got a decent resolution display, 5G connectivity support, an improved user interface, great photos and videos, and good enough battery life. As I have mentioned earlier, the phone does have downsides. But all of them can be overlooked when you are getting this phone at a quite impressive deal. Overall, the OnePlus Nord N300 5G is a decent budget phone for a few reasons. First, it doesn’t feel like a cheap phone, the build quality of the phone makes it feel like a more expensive phone. Second, is that it has great battery life that easily lasts a single day or more and can be charged fairly quickly. There are a few negatives to the Nord N300 5G like the weak vibration motor and haptics and only one future Android update but overall there aren’t many better options at this price in the US phone market.

Depending on what you’re looking for, the Nord N300 might be a good option. It’s locked to T-Mobile, so only a small subset of customers can pick one up, but it might be worth looking at equivalent phones in the same price range. I did really enjoy the Moto G Stylus, and it’s almost always priced around the N300’s $228 price tag. You get a bigger, better screen, a stylus, and slightly better build quality. Cameras are close with a slight nod towards the OnePlus, though, so the N300 does still have a chance in head-to-head comparisons depending on what you’re looking for. But if you like OnePlus, you’re already on T-Mobile, and you’re trying to stick to a budget-friendly phone, it’s a solid option worth checking out.

You should skip the Nord N300 — OnePlus managed to torpedo my already low expectations for a Nord N handset with this device. It offers little in the way of what most people want in a smartphone, except that it has impressive battery life. I urge you not to be fooled by the attractive $228 price, however. It’s not what it seems. Furthermore, the phone is currently locked to T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile. If you’re on AT&T or Verizon (or an MVNO that uses those networks), you’ll have to wait for a potential wider launch. That’s what happened with the Nord N20 earlier this year. There’s a reason why the saying “you get what you pay for” almost always rings true, and the Nord N300 proves it. Sure, this OnePlus device is cheap, but I think most will come to regret purchasing it.

OnePlus’ own Nord N20 is a great alternative. Its MSRP — $282 if you’re buying from T-Mobile or $299 unlocked — is still well within the budget range. But it’s much more enjoyable to use, with a rich 1080p OLED screen, better processing performance, and twice as much storage. The same 33W fast charging is included, too. Right now, it’s also one of T-Mobile’s “free” phone promotions, and it’s a better pick overall whether you’re paying upfront or not. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is a good alternative, too. It’s priced a little closer to the N300 at $249, and its performance is snappier with day-to-day tasks. There’s no aspect of the N300 that’s show-stoppingly bad, but there are a few key places where it could be just a bit better. Those things have more of an impact on my day-to-day than being able to charge up my phone in a flash. I suspect a lot of people feel the same way, and that makes the N300 hard to recommend. There’s a slim argument in its favor if you really want fast charging, and it’s your best “free” phone option at the time. Otherwise, you’re better off with OnePlus’ slightly pricier N20 or settling for the slow-charging life.

The Nord N300 will compete with other entry and mid-level smartphone selections at major US carriers in its intended US market. The Nord N300 is a solid device with great battery life, a large display, decent camera performance, and snappy software. It is also OnePlus' cheapest offering in the US. Most customers purchase devices on payment plans through US carriers anyhow, so a $50-$100 difference translates to a few bucks more per month. Although it's about 60 bucks more, we think that the Nord N20 5G offers a better value with its prettier, higher resolution AMOLED screen (with in-display scanner), one more useful camera (ultrawide) and better CPU performance. Although there's a slight reduction in battery capacity, it's a tradeoff we'd gladly make for these upgrades.

The OnePlus Nord N300 is a budget phone through and through, but considering it's retailing for $228, or free if you sign up for a plan with T-Mobile, it's hard to nitpick too much. I think there's a ton of value packed in the Nord N300 5G. It's great to see affordable 5G connectivity options emerging — but we're still talking about a single carrier in the U.S., only, with T-Mobile. If you're a serious photographer, a gamer, or an audiophile, you might need a bit more of an engine behind your phone than what N300 5G can offer you. Because I had no issues with download speeds in areas of moderate to high 5G signal, and could effortlessly complete everyday phone use like basic camera work, social media, and my daily dose of stalking various Pokémon, I think it's reasonable to overlook the cons of the phone — for my needs, anyway. If you have kids, grandkids, or pets that you want casual pictures of, the Nord will do the job for you with 5G connectivity as an added bonus. When an affordable smartphone with a quality build, Android familiarity, and a good feature-to-finance ratio is the priority, there's no reason to pass the Nord N300 5G up.

Recommending the OnePlus Nord N300 becomes even tougher when you turn to the competition. Few alternatives can match the Nord N300 in price, but increasing your budget a little bit goes a long way. You can grab the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G ($299.99 at Amazon) or OnePlus Nord N20 ($229.99 at Amazon) for a bit more money, with both devices bringing Full HD Plus displays and additional RAM and storage options to the table. Samsung’s budget device has the better software commitment of the two — the Nord N20 matches its N300 counterpart. However, OnePlus still offers 33W charging, bringing a slight edge over the Galaxy A23 5G when you need a top-up. Samsung has a bottom-tier 5G competitor, too, in the form of the Galaxy A13 5G ($249.99 at Amazon). The display suffers from similar issues with resolution and brightness, but its main camera is more consistent, it offers extra RAM and storage options, and Samsung’s update commitment is second to none.

The OnePlus Nord N300 5G is an interesting phone. It makes curious trade-offs like including a better camera but with fewer lenses, a better rear design but with a downgraded display, and faster charging but with a fairly mediocre MediaTek chipset. I'm a little confused about the decisions that led to this phone. If you're looking for a phone that can handle the bare minimum, this is the one for you. OxygenOS has plenty of features to help make this phone more interesting and playful, but the experience may be hampered by the performance of the chipset and the underwhelming image output. Fortunately, battery life is decent, and it charges fast, two things that consumers tend to look for in a phone, according to a recent OnePlus survey. That said, I have a hard time recommending this phone to anyone. As someone who purchased the Nord N200 5G for my little brother, I am pretty tempted to just recommend that over this, even if it means missing out on Android 13.

Everyone likes a good deal. OnePlus is a brand known for offering value, and its latest affordable phone, the Nord N300 for T-Mobile, truly delivers. For $228, you get good performance, fast charging, and a screen with a high refresh rate, all wrapped up in an attractive design. The Nord N300 doesn't quite top the $279.99 Samsung Galaxy A32, our Editor's Choice for budget-friendly phones, which has tougher display glass, three usable cameras, double the software update commitment, and is available unlocked.

Confession: When I got this phone at my door, I wasn’t all that excited. After reviewing the Nord N300, my hopes weren’t set too high for the Nord N30. However, the more I used this phone, the more I fell in love with it. The more reliable I found it. It excels in just about every area, and that says a lot about a $300 phone. As I asked at the beginning of this review, is this phone worth the $300 price tag? My answer is no. It’s worth so much more. I highly recommend that you pick up this phone.

It's important to understand that the OnePlus Nord N30's price tag comes with limitations, the biggest of which is its subpar camera performance. Other low-cost phones deliver more consistent results, and you don't even have to stretch your budget for a Galaxy A54 or Pixel 7a. The Pixel 6a is hanging around for $349, and even though it's an older phone, it takes much better shots than the Nord N30. Still, the Nord N30 delivers in other ways, chiefly its superb battery and expansive display that also supports a fast-refresh rate. If you'd rather have a long-lasting device than a more consistent camera phone, the Nord N30 is an excellent choice that goes easy on your wallet.

The OnePlus Nord N30 5G provides an affordable 5G smartphone option with commendable battery life, a vibrant display, and a versatile camera system. While it may lack some premium features, the device compensates with its competitive price point, making it an enticing choice for budget-conscious consumers even in a crowded market.

The OnePlus Nord N30 is a decent upgrade from the N20 with more RAM, slightly better display and its 50W fast charging. Camera shots aren’t bad with a good amount of light to support it but falters a bit in lower light conditions. But once again its price is justifiable. Best of all the Nord N30 is unlocked for $299 and works on carriers such as Verizon and T-Mobile or you can get one through T-Mobile locked in a slightly lower price.

For under $300, there is a lot to like about the OnePlus Nord N30; it has a large display, 5G connectivity, smooth performance, a long-lasting battery, and a very good main camera, plus its memory can be expanded with a microSD card, and it even includes a 3.5 audio jack. The killer feature for this price range is its 50W SUPERVOOC charging. The Nord N30 is a highly capable phone that won’t break the bank, and that’s definitely nothing to sneeze at if you’re trying to stick to a budget or if you are considering buying a smartphone for a youngling who hasn’t yet proven that they can be trusted with something more expensive.

The OnePlus Nord N30 5G might not be the perfect phone, but you won’t find that for this price tag. If you can save up another $200 for the Pixel 7a, I think most people will be happier with the comfortably-sized Google phone with its stronger camera, cleaner software and water-resistant hardware. The 6a is still around for an even more price-comparable option. If you’re a mobile gamer on a budget, the OnePlus is a better option with a lower price, bigger screen and a headphone jack that might appeal to you more. Not to mention how handy the fast charging is. I ran through arcade games like RogueJack without issues and had similarly smooth experiences with Call of Duty Mobile. If you’re interested in the OnePlus Nord N30 5G, you can buy it on OnePlus’ website for $379.

The OnePlus Nord N30 5G is an affordable breath of fresh air, priced at $299.99. OnePlus has returned to their aggressive pricing strategy for 2023 with both their flagship OnePlus 11 and the Nord N30. The Android phone has sub6 5G with support for most carriers, a 6.7” 120Hz display, Snapdragon processor, a fingerprint scanner, face unlock and a 108MP rear camera. It has a microSD card slot! It competes with the Moto G Power and more expensive midrange Android smartphones like the Google Pixel 7a and Samsung Galaxy A54. It’s sold unlocked with a nano SIM card slot.

If you want to upgrade from the OnePlus Nord N10, consider picking up the N30. You’ll get a much better screen and a performance boost from the Snapdragon 695. I can also see a case for picking up the N30 if you’re coming from a less expensive Samsung A-series device and looking for something new. If you already own a OnePlus Nord N20, there’s absolutely no reason to upgrade. The 1998 Florida Marlins went 54-108. While I’m not sure the Nord N30 is as big of a dropoff from such a previous high, I hope this can be a lesson to OnePlus — don’t mess with success.

If it weren't for the fact that Google permanently lowered the price of the Pixel 6a to $299, it would be a no-brainer to recommend the OnePlus Nord N30. It's better than last year's N20 in almost every way — camera and some display quality issues notwithstanding — and, yet, OnePlus didn't raise the price at all. In fact, it's a tiny bit cheaper than the N20 was at launch so long as you buy it at T-Mobile (or get a deal). And that's really the only issue here. Without the Pixel 6a in the picture, the Nord N30 would be the best phone in its class. Even with that said, the Nord N30 has better battery life, charges much faster, and has a display with a higher refresh rate that's friendlier on the eyes than the Pixel 6a's display. So if those things are more important to you than having the very best camera and nearly double the performance — something the Pixel 6a offers — then the Nord N30 is the phone for you.

Overall, we like the OnePlus Nord N30 5G. We really do. But would have liked it a whole lot more if its MSRP were closer to $200 or it brought a bit more to the table. It feels like OnePlus took the Realme 10 Pro for a template, when it should have probably gone with the Pro+ instead. It's not like anything makes the Nord N30 5G uniquely OnePlus, either. The signature alert slider is nowhere to be found, and as we mentioned, the software experience can also be had on a modern Oppo or Realme device. We really wish the N30 had an OLED or, failing that, a better and brighter LCD and one backed up by proper high refresh rate handling. The Snapdragon 695 also leaves us kind of wanting, particularly in the video recording department, with its unfortunate 1080p capture limit. Some sort of ingress protection is also attainable in this price range.

There’s no doubt that the OnePlus Nord N30 5G is a decent 5G budget smartphone. It boasts a capable 108MP shooter with lossless 3x digital zoom, fantastic stereo speakers, outstanding battery life, and good software. The headphone jack, microSD expansion, and supplied 50W brick are all welcome extras too. But while the N30 5G still offers great value, it isn’t a significant upgrade over last year’s N20 5G. If anything, the design isn’t as stylish and colorful as before, the IPS screen is a step back (despite the smoother 120Hz refresh rate), and the continued lack of an ultrawide camera is disappointing. But if you don’t mind these limitations, the N30 5G will be available unlocked for $299 from OnePlus, Amazon, and Best Buy starting today (June 15), and T-Mobile will offer the N30 5G for $264 or free with a new line. That's a nice, budget-friendly price for a decent 5G handset.

But there’s another phone crowding in on this space that makes the N30 harder to recommend: last year’s Google Pixel 6A. It’s been marked down to $349 with the release of the Pixel 7A. If it’s still in stock and the extra $50 is doable, then the 6A is the phone to buy. Its camera system is much more reliable, and it comes with midrange perks like an OLED screen and an IP67 rating for robust dust and water resistance. And even though it’s a year old, it’s scheduled to get two more OS upgrades and security support until July 2027, which is one more year in each category than the brand-new N30 offers. The 6A doesn’t have the ultra-impressive battery life of the N30 or the fast wired charging, but personally, I’d take a better camera and live with charging my phone every night. That said, if the Pixel 6A isn’t quite within reach or T-Mobile is offering you a free N30, I think it’s a fine option. It’s a lot of phone for the money — even if it’s not quite everything it could be.

The OnePlue Nord N30 isn't a bad phone at all, but not a lot really makes it stand out amongst its peers. While it's a good thing that there are plenty of options available when you haven't got a lot to spend, it is hitting the point where you might as well pull names from a hat when selecting a handset. The standout features include the large screen size, the fair amount of RAM on offer, and the free protection that's thrown in. It probably does just enough to get the nod ahead of something like the Motorola Moto G 5G, which also hit the market fairly recently. Still, the fact that it lacks features that were included in last year's model is worrying and has cost the device some points. We'd argue the Nord N20 can still hold its own in terms of performance, and a perk like that under-screen fingerprint scanner is enough to give it the edge over the new kid on the block.

The OnePlus Nord N30 is a great phone for the price. The company doesn’t disappoint budget-conscious shoppers with its latest entry. Between the solid performance, respectable battery life, and capable 108MP camera, you end up with a phone that takes the throne as our Editors’ Choice in the $300 price range. If software updates and camera performace are paramount to you, however, the Pixel 6a is an incredible value.

The OnePlus Nord N30 5G is not the best smartphone you can buy for $300 — though it does get very close. The biggest sin of the Nord N30 5G is how bad its cameras are. OnePlus could have done something special here, but it didn’t. With a main camera that lacks a critical feature and two mostly useless secondary ones, this is a camera system that works in a pinch, but really nothing more beyond that. If you have $300 to spend and a good camera is important to you, the Google Pixel 6a is a far better purchase. But here’s the thing. If you’re OK with sacrificing camera quality (and getting any new software beyond Android 14), the rest of the OnePlus Nord N30 is fantastic. It feels great to hold, you get classic features like a headphone jack and expandable storage, and there’s NFC for Google Pay. You’re also getting solid performance, a lovely display, long battery life, and very fast charging.

The OnePlus Nord N30 hopes to condense the most important parts of the premium OnePlus experience into a value package. It checks the boxes for Oxygen OS, speedy SuperVOOC wired charging, and a sharp primary camera while cutting a few corners to keep the price in check. OnePlus even managed to keep the Nord N30’s price pegged to that of its predecessor, floating right under the $300 barrier.

For the OnePlus Nord N30, the company releases new forums and different specs to make the user’s journey more appealing. This phone is developed to provide affordable 5G connectivity, appropriate photography, and video recording features. Moreover, the device will render long-lasting battery life as the plus point. The display quality is also top-notch as you are getting an advanced refresh rate. But if you look at the downside of using a phone, it would be average photos and video quality. Still, the overall results are great if you are looking for normal usage. Now, let’s check out the other alternative option Realme 10T 5G would be a great choice that you can look at in the meantime.
