Pour le reste, c’est vrai, le smartphone est doté d’un bel écran 90 Hz lumineux et contrasté, affichant des couleurs aguicheuses. Those are all still valid criticisms – there really should have been more in the way of hardware advancements – but the Honor 200 Lite just about inches over the line thanks to its terrific main camera and impressive battery life. The lightweight build and bright AMOLED display are well worth the price of admission, too, but it’s ultimately the Honor 200 Lite’s stamina and photography chops that earn it our Recommended award.

Après son Honor 90, la marque passe la centaine et nous propose un Honor 200 Pro presque sans fautes. Doté d'un bel afficheur, de la puissance de la puce Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 associée à des fonctions IA avancées, sans oublier une excellente autonomie, il pèche néanmoins par un suivi logiciel et une certification d'étanchéité assez chiches. Son volet photo satisfaisant (même si l’ultra grand-angle n’est pas son point fort) est complété par un mode portrait réussi, mais un peu accessoire.

Le Honor 200 Pro est finalement très correct dans l'ensemble, mais vendu un peu trop cher. 800 euros, c'est trop : à 700 ou 600 euros, le téléphone est un meilleur choix. Et ça, Honor le sait très bien : la marque lance ce modèle avec une offre de réduction. Ce qui donne un Honor 200 Pro correct à peu près partout sans vraiment réussir à se démarquer de la concurrence. Cela vaut pour son écran, son interface (malgré quelques fonctionnalités sympathiques), la photographie et l'autonomie. On notera quand même de belles prestations côté performances : la puce s'est révélée puissante par rapport aux smartphones qui n'utilisent pas le Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Le constructeur a concocté avec le Studio Harcourt un mode portrait reproduisant le rendu si particulier du photographe parisien. Le moins que l’on puisse dire c’est que le résultat est plus que convaincant et les amateurs de portraits prendront plaisir à l’utiliser. Les autres photographes aussi, d’ailleurs, tant qu’ils se limiteront au zoom optique. Les autres aspects du 200 Pro sont tout aussi soignés : les performances sont bonnes, l’écran produit une très belle image et l’autonomie s’avère plus que correcte. Bon point aussi pour la recharge rapide… à condition d’acquérir le bloc d’alimentation optionnel. Android 14 est accompagné de MagicOS 8.0, la surcouche officielle d’Honor dont l’objectif est de fournir une interface intuitive et fluide.

Honor continue sa marche en avant et propose encore et toujours de petites innovations sur ses nouveaux produits pour se démarquer de la concurrence. Cette année, c’est son partenariat avec le Studio Harcourt qui permettra à certains de découvrir un style de portrait emblématique. Si cette nouvelle fonction fait encore gadget, elle a le mérite d’être présente et devrait parler facilement au grand public. À côté, il faut reconnaître que le Honor 200 Pro est un très bon smartphone haut de gamme. Il est complet, polyvalent et bien fini. Il n’a pas vraiment de défauts et il est bon partout.

The Honor 200 Pro is a great device that has focused heavily on it’s camera skills, which is a good thing as it does work very well as. Camera particularly in close quarters. That being said it is by no means a one trick pony as it is a component phone for gaming and never let me down on the performance side of things. Whilst it is not quite flagship tier, it is so close that it is actually difficult to class it’s position in the brands lineup. I see it this way, if you want the top of the line flagship specs then you have the Honor Magic 6 Pro which is a great phone from the limited time I had with it. However if you don’t need the top of the line in terms of specs and want to focus on the camera and particularly portraits then the Honor 200 Pro is a solid buy.

That’s a hard question, as always, but it’s even harder right now. Because, at the time of writing this, I do not know the price of the HONOR 200 Pro. I’d imagine it’ll be cheaper than the Magic6 Pro, which is €1299. But how much cheaper is the question? Then there’s the HONOR 100 Pro that it is replacing, that was priced at €449 last year. Leaving the price out of it, this is a damn good phone. Especially if it comes in much cheaper than the Magic6 series. Typically, the number series are marketed as mid-range phones, but there’s nothing mid-range about this. A flagship processor, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, three incredible cameras on the back, and a big juicy battery to boot. There’s not a lot to dislike about the HONOR 200 Pro.

The Honor 200 Pro is an impressive smartphone with a price tag that matches its high aspirations. It has an attractive design with splash resistance, an excellent display, powerful hardware, good battery life, fast charging, loud speakers. The camera quality and its versatility are great, and its focus on Portrait mode is commendable. There is a lot to like about the 200 Pro, including the highly customizable software and its iOS-like Magic Capsule. The fast wired, wireless and the option for reversed wireless charging are very much appreciated. There were a couple of things that rubbed us the wrong way, though. Let's start with the pill-shaped notch, which is not that of an eyesore as the iPhones', but a big one if you are used to small punch holes.

However, the display’s readability was heavily challenged in outdoor lighting, and the device couldn’t quite match the luminance and contrast levels of its competitors. Color performance was by far the display’s strongest aspect. The device’s colors, tested in the faithful mode were accurate throughout. This, along with color uniformity, earned the device the highest score in this attribute. Despite a slight green color shift when viewed from an angle, the screen managed to maintain its color accuracy. Touch performance was highlighted by a very fast and accurate average response time of 56 ms. In addition, the device showed no evidence of reacting to any unintended touches.

Le Honor 200 est vraiment un bon smartphone, et tout comme le Honor 200 Lite, il offre un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Les seuls points décevants sont les trois ans de mise à jour logicielle et, peut-être à un degré moindre, la qualité des images grand angle. Pour le reste, j’ai vraiment apprécié ce smartphone. Son écran AMOLED est de très bonne qualité, et son design élégant n’attrape pas les traces de doigts. J’ai également été séduit par le capteur principal et le téléobjectif, qui capturent de très belles photos avec une bonne constance dans la reproduction des couleurs. Les performances sont plus que suffisantes, et j’ai également apprécié l’autonomie ainsi que la vitesse de charge du smartphone.

Ce grand et beau smartphone milieu de gamme brille en particulier pour ses performances redoutables, lui offrant une grande aisance dans tous les scénarios d’usage. Son autonomie n’est pas en reste, avec presque 12h par charge relevés par le Labo Fnac dans son protocole. En photo, si la polyvalence reste maîtresse, le compte n’y est pas tout à fait en termes de colorimétrie. Même chose pour l’écran, qui manque un petit peu de luminosité pour décrocher la timbale. Reste que, dans l’ensemble, nous sommes face à un très bon rapport qualité-prix.

Probably an important question to answer is which of these two phones you should get? The Honor 200 Pro sustains its asking price with improved raw performance, better imaging capability and wireless charging, making it a flagship-lite sort of product. However if you don't indulge in too much cutting edge games pushing the boundaries, nor can't really appreciate the imaging differences we've noted down, then by all means save up and gun for the Honor 200.

Wrapping things up, the HONOR 200 proves that you don’t need to break the bank to get a good smartphone. Priced at PHP 24,999, it doesn’t have too many downsides. My gripes with the device were mainly with its counterintuitive software. The phone has a ton of bloatware with MagicOS providing two of each app with one function. There’s also the matter of its missing IP rating. Personally, I felt like I could’ve looked past this if we weren’t under the rainy season right now. Aside from these issues, the HONOR 200 excels under design, display, cameras, performance, and battery. These are a ton of strengths for a midrange offering, no? If readers are looking for an all-around, solid, budget-friendly smartphone in 2024—the HONOR 200 needs to be on your list.

The Honor 200 display showed an overall good performance, supported by its strong results in color rendering in all lighting conditions. The device’s readability was on par with the Pro version. However, the screen lacked some brightness when used outdoors, when compared with some of its other competitors. Our protocol measured the Honor 200’s peak brightness at 1,146 nits, using a method that is more indicative of how the device would behave in a real-life use case. Like its Pro counterpart, the Honor 200’s display was free of flicker. The device lacked some brightness when watching HDR10 video in indoor conditions, but when viewing HDR10 videos in low light, the good level of brightness allowed for good detail rendering. Our tests also showed that the device did not support video content made in the UHD 60 FPS format.

If those things are most important to you, you’ll want to turn your attention to the Google Pixel 8a. That said, it’s not been a clean sweep for the Pixel as the Honor 200 has a couple of very interesting tricks up its sleeve. Its battery life is nothing short of phenomenal for the price, the display is sharp and wonderfully colour-accurate and the affordable telephoto camera (along with Studio Harcourt’s style) produce incredible portrait shots. I can’t say that it’s the best you can get for this price, but for portraits and battery life, the Honor 200 is unmatched.

As per my opening gambit: having switched from the Google Pixel 8a over to the Honor 200, this review process has been a rollercoaster ride of many good outcomes, peppered with some less-than-ideal software oddities. Honor:

Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.

ARM Mali-G57 MP2:

Qualcomm Adreno 613: Puce graphique pour smartphones et tablettes, intégrée au SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Bien qu'elle succède à l'Adreno 619 de la SD 4 Gen 1, ses performances sont nettement inférieures dans la catégorie d'entrée de gamme.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Qualcomm Adreno 735: Puce graphique pour smartphones et tablettes, intégrée au SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Qualcomm Adreno 720: Puce graphique pour smartphones et tablettes, intégrée dans le SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. Selon Qualcomm, elle est deux fois plus rapide que l'ancienne puce Adreno 644 du Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

Mediatek Dimensity 6000:

Dimensity 6080: Le Dimensity 6080 est un processeur de milieu de gamme inférieur avec modem 5G intégré. La partie CPU intègre deux cœurs ARM Cortex-A76 rapides pouvant atteindre 2,4 GHz et six cœurs de puissance Cortex-A55 pouvant atteindre 2 GHz. Le 6080 est techniquement similaire à l'ancien Dimensity 700.

Qualcomm Snapdragon:

SD 8s Gen 3: SoC (System on a Chip) haut de gamme pour smartphones présenté en 2024. Il intègre notamment un "Prime Core" Cortex-X4 rapide pouvant atteindre 3 GHz et 4 autres cœurs Cortex-A720 rapides de 2,8 GHz. Pour économiser de l'énergie, 3 cœurs ARM Cortex-A520 supplémentaires cadencés à 2,3 GHz ont également été installés. Un modem 5G, le WiFi 7 et un moteur d'intelligence artificielle nettement plus rapide sont intégrés.

SD 7 Gen 3: SoC de milieu de gamme avec 8 cryocœurs (1 ARM Cortex-X2 à 2,91 GHz, 3x ARM Cortex A710 à 2,49 GHz, 4x ARM Cortex A510 avec 1,8 cluster d'efficacité) et un modem X62 5G (jusqu'à 4400 Mbps en téléchargement). La puce est fabriquée selon le processus moderne 4nm de TSMC.

SD 4 Gen 2: SoC d'entrée de gamme avec 8 cœurs Kryo (deux cœurs ARM Cortex-A78 cadencés à 2,2 GHz et 6 cœurs ARM Cortex-A55 cadencés à 2 GHz) et un modem X61 5G. Fabriqué en 4nm chez Samsung.
