Critiques pour le/la Realme Pad
The Chinese manufacturer launches its first tablet on the market with the realme Pad. It is supposed to offer a Full HD screen and decent power in a light and slim casing for little money. We will take a closer look in the test.

The Realme Pad's 7100mAh battery is good for 12 hours of life, according to the company. I think the screen would have to be at the lower end of its brightness range to reach this, but I've used this tablet for intermittent streaming, browsing and e-book reading during the review period and never felt the battery was running down too quickly. Charging (18W) every couple of days has been fine for me. Battery performance is acceptable for a tablet at this price. The Realme Pad is a well-made tablet with 4G LTE support and the ability to expand its 128GB of storage via MicroSD. The processor is average and the screen lacks brightness, but the speakers impress. Anyone looking for a tablet for light duties might find this a decent, affordable option.

This tablet is fairly affordable, boasts an impressive screen and speakers that do a decent job with both clarity and volume. It’s not the most powerful tablet, but it’s a solid enough performer for most tasks.

The realme Pad is the first tablet from the brand. I would like to praise the company for giving it a try, but it is worth admitting that the first device did not turn out to be perfect, even taking into account the cost. First of all, I was disappointed by a fairly large number of software bugs and flaws. And this is strange, since the smartphones work totally fine. We can only hope that with the upcoming updates, all the issues will be corrected, because otherwise the realme Pad has everything that a budget tablet should have: high-quality materials, a decent screen, good battery life, quality sound, and performance that is enough for media consumption, but not for serious work or overly demanding games.

The Realme Pad is a welcome addition to the budget tablet market, as it’s an ideal choice for online classes and basic entertainment purposes. It comes with a powerful quad-speaker setup, a sleek design, and offers good battery life. However, it misses out on a powerful processor and fast charging. Even with these letdowns, the Realme Pad is a worthy budget tablet.

The realme Pad is available locally for PHP 10,990 for the 3GB + 32GB variant (WiFi only), PHP 14,990 for the 4GB + 64GB option with 4G LTE support and PHP 16,990 for the 6GB + 128GB variant with 4G LTE support. The realme Pad delivers on what it promises. It has decent performance and gets its basics right when it comes to the display, battery life, and user experience. If you’re looking for a bang-for-the-buck Android tablet to get your regular work done or just need a bigger device for your binge-watching needs, you can definitely consider the realme Pad. However, if you’re looking for a more powerful budget Android tablet then we recommend you get the Xiaomi Pad 5 instead, as it performs way better, supports HDR10, 120Hz display, long battery life, better cameras and it has a Xiaomi Smart Pen.

The Realme Pad is officially sold in two color variants – Real Gold and Real Gray, in 3 storage and RAM configurations. The 3+32 (WiFi) starts at Rs. 13,999, while the 3+32 (LTE) starts at Rs. 15,999. And the top of the line 4+64GB(LTE) starts at Rs. 17,999. If you have not noticed yet, I really like the Realme Pad, and it’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking for an affordable tablet for attending lectures binge-watching the latest shows on OTT platforms. It does many things right, such as impressive battery life, excellent quad-speaker setup, good performance, and more, making it an attractive package for many. However, I would recommend spending a bit more money and buying the 4+64 GB variant, as 3 GB may be a problem for some. The Realme Pad’s closest competitor is the Lenovo Tab M10, but it has a comparatively weaker processor and a smaller 5000 mAh battery. The other competitor is the recently launched Motorola Tab, but it only has an HD screen and no 4G support.

The Realme Pad is a good enough device for those who want a tablet for basic needs. The tablet is quite portable and will please those who want a bigger screen for binge-watching. Apart from video streaming, one can also use it for web browsing, video calling, making notes, and basic gaming. You get four speakers that make the content more enjoyable.

Realme Pad is the first tablet from the company, but it does not feel like one. What we mean is that the company has paid attention to details here and offered features that matter for what it is meant to do. Realme Pad has got almost everything covered like good battery life, decent performance, front camera for calls and selfies, software support, etc. So, if you are looking for a budget tablet that has a premium feel and offers an all-rough performance, then Realme Pad is a good option to go with.

Firstly, it’s great to see a brand like Realme enter the Android tablet segment with the Pad making a good first step. Featuring a premium aluminum body, a vibrant display, and excellent audio thanks to the four speakers with Dolby Atmos, the Realme Pad also sports an audio jack, MicroSD card slot, and a clean Android UI. The Realme Pad is perfectly suited to streaming content and browsing for extended sessions thanks to its impressive battery life. It’s ok for gaming as well so long as you don’t expect high-level graphics and in general usage, it punches above its weight. Priced from $140 in India for the 3/32GB version, the 6/128GB variant that we reviewed is headed to Europe sometime in what’s left of 2021 although the date and pricing haven’t yet been finalized. As long as the pricing remains affordable the Realme Pad should be a hit during the holiday season in Europe. Once Realme reveals the European and UK pricing we’ll update the article accordingly.

Wrapping up this review, the Realme Pad can differentiate itself from other white boxes available in the market—either its in term of better software, cameras, or performance. But, then again, there is no doubt that Realme has hit the nail on the head with its first tablet, especially considering its affordability. Also, I’m hopeful that the company would debut with a competitive tablet to beat the likes of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 or the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE. As of now, for Realme Pad, I would go so far as to rank it as one of the best go-to budget tablets in 2021.

Realme’s first tablet is a good attempt at giving people more options for when they go out shopping for a tablet. For most of its features, the Realme Pad justifies the price. It has got a big display with a high-resolution panel, and everything looks great on it. The speakers are pretty loud, so you will love watching movies and shows on Netflix and YouTube. Its overall performance is also suitable for light and medium stuff, but I believe students will like the tablet, and more so because of its price.

The realme Tab offers a sleek metallic build and slim design which gives a premium look, plus a large 10.4-inch WXUGA+ display and Dolby Atmos quad speakers deliver a great multimedia experience. Its premium design, large form factor, and reliable 7,100 mAh battery add to its overall value, this is the tablet you should be looking for, the price starts at Rs 13,999 which is excellent value for money.

Then there are the four Dolby Atmos speakers, which deliver a great experience and can turn the Pad into an enjoyable multimedia device. The battery will last you at least half a day on web browsing or videos, which is nice, too. Sure, the Realme Pad is not a powerhouse - forget about gaming on this slate, but for everything else - it should deliver okay, if not very good, experience, and that's what we'd expect from a budget tablet. So, if you want a tablet for your home, to enjoy browsing and streaming on the couch, or checking up on work progress without powering up your computer, the Realme Pad will do the job. If gaming, HDR streaming or stylus-drawing is not a must-have, this one definitely deserves a consideration.

The Realme Pad has the bones of a decent tablet for browsing and streaming movies, but as it stands, the product isn’t quite there yet. Many competing products are equally under-spec’d which makes it hard to point fingers at Realme for the mediocre performance. However, for a brand that regularly champions high-spec devices at value prices in many other product categories, the middling Realme Pad comes across as a disappointing outlier in its portfolio. The Realme Pad is the company's first product in the affordable tablet category. Packing a crisp 10.4-inch display, quad speakers and optional LTE, the Realme Pad is positioned as a multimedia companion on a budget.

The Realme Pad is a solid entry-level tablet good for learning and entertainment purposes. Despite limitations, it is a solid debut for Realme in the tablets space because it scores well in areas that matter the most – screen, audio, build, design, performance, etc. With little to no competition in the entry-level tablets segment, the Realme Pad looks poised for success.

The Realme Pad is a decent first attempt at a tablet, in terms of the hardware it offers. With no accessories (and no keyboard or stylus support), this is a tablet intended solely for media consumption and simple communication apps, not for any serious productivity. Starting from Rs. 13,999 in India, the Realme Pad offers decent performance along with a quality display and very impressive sound for its segment. Everyday performance is not a problem, and the ultra-wide selfie camera works fine for video calls. With an LTE-enabled variant starting at Rs. 15,999, there's little to complain about. This gives the Realme Pad enough appeal provided you don't intend to do any work on it.

The Realme Pad is priced at Rs 13,999 for the base variant that comes sans LTE, and offers 3 gigs of RAM and 32GB storage. Adding LTE to the mix raises the price to Rs 15,999, while the top-end version with 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, and LTE will set you back by Rs 17,999. I think Realme should have added a non-LTE model with 64GB storage as well, but you can avail discounts of up to Rs 2,000 on the two higher variants if you have an HDFC card. As things stand right now, the Realme Pad comes across as a value-for-money option, with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 being its closest rival in terms of overall specs. While calling it a disruptor might be a bit of a stretch, it’s worth a buy if you’re in the market for a slate that can handle the usual content consumption use cases without blowing a big hole in your pocket.

ARM Mali-G52 MP2:
