Whether you like the design or not, Realme's GT 2 Pro has a lot of positives going for it, from its flagship-grade innards to capable (and quirky) cameras. It might not be the biggest brand name right now, but, with pricing this keen, it's hard to not pay attention to what is a very capable offering - the kind of OnePlus competitor that so few have been able to quite master.

Okay, it is time to conclude this review of the Realme GT 2 Pro. So, what do I make of this flagship? Well, I think it’s a pretty good—if not a great—semi-flagship phone which certainly justifies the price. But moving forward, I really want Realme to bring more innovation to the camera department. Or maybe more R&D in terms of computational photography, I’m not sure. But as things stand, Apple, Samsung, and Google are comfortably sitting in the top 3 spots, while other brands are playing catchup. So, I hope that instead of bringing out new flagship devices really fast like every 8 or 10 months or so, Realme would wait a bit more and improve in areas where it’s lacking—and does not make the same mistakes as other Chinese brands did in the last 5 years.

The Realme GT 2 Pro display’s strongest point is how faithfully it reproduces color, where it achieved a top score. The colors on the display match what the user sees in real life, which makes taking and viewing photos, for example, quite satisfying. The display also demonstrated good uniformity of color and brightness. The screen was readable in most environments, whether indoors or outdoors, but it noticeably lacked brightness when under sunlight. The lack of brightness, however, had an effect on the video-watching experience, where the colors also tended to appear oversaturated and the dark tones of the video were hardly visible, making it less suited for those users who like to watch movies on their smartphones. But for mobile gamers, the Realme GT 2 Pro’s accurate and smooth touch makes the device very well suited for playing video games.

Featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and a 6.7-inch display with WQHD+ resolution, the Realme GT 2 Pro competes against the strongest competitors in the Premium segment. In the camera department, the Realme lacks a dedicated tele shooter but offers 50MP sensors in both the primary module and the ultra-wide. In addition, there is a macro camera for close-up photography.

If you can live without wireless charging and a dedicated telephoto camera, the Realme GT 2 Pro is a winning package. It delivers a stellar screen, stacks of power, and an innovative design for a relatively affordable price. The phone’s camera mix is novel, but we grew to appreciate having such a wide-angle camera to play with when out and about, and the phone’s microscope camera proved useful in our kitchen exploits hunting down flour mites. More importantly, the primary 50MP camera gets the basics right. Round off an already impressive package with loads of storage, power, and excellent battery life, and while the Realme GT 2 Pro doesn’t pack everything, it delivers more than we’d expect for its £599 asking price.

There shouldn't be any doubt by now that the Realme GT 2 Pro is a very good premium smartphone that punches well above its weight. The base variant with 8GB of RAM offers the best value, in my opinion. I would recommend it over the Motorola Edge 30 Pro for its superior display, unique textured design, better battery life, and reliable cameras. However, if an IP rating and wireless charging matter to you, then the Motorola would be the smarter choice. The 12GB variant of the GT 2 Pro is less expensive than most other Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphones, but at nearly Rs. 58,000, I think options such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G (Review) or even the OnePlus 9 Pro 5G (Review) are more complete flagships and offer better value since you can now often find them selling for less. They might lack the brute force of the GT 2 Pro's SoC, but they more than make up for that with features such as wireless charging and official IP ratings.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is positioning itself as a heavy hitter with a reasonable price tag. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and with a display that has a 120 Hz refresh rate, it does have some flagship features. On the audio front, it boasts “super linear dual speakers, dual-mic noise cancellation,” Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification. With its global audio score of 60 in our database, however, the RealMe device lands in slightly-below average territory, putting it alongside the Oppo Find X3 Neo, for example, which notched a 61. The GT 2 Pro is about average in playback, and less than adequate as a recording device. At maximum volume, the device delivers a decent performance in both timbre and dynamics, although there is a lack of low-end and punch. At nominal volume, the tonal balance is dull. Recordings produced by the Realme GT 2 Pro show some strong resonances, with an aggressive mid-centric timbre and some distortion in all use-cases. Recordings do not sound natural and are quite distorted.

The Realme GT 2 Pro’s global score is slightly above the average of our database thanks to its excellent charging experience. It is able to fill up the big 5000 mAh battery in an impressive 41 minutes 25 seconds, demonstrating a good charge efficiency as well. Despite a weak performance during our typical usage scenarios, the device showed very good management when idle and during the night, losing only 0.5% of power per night on average. Its autonomy remained average overall, with GPS navigation on-the-go being particularly poor. Among high-end devices, the Realme GT 2 Pro is overall a very well-balanced device, with almost all the scores and subscores coming in above average.

In summary, Realme has done an excellent job with the GT 2 Pro, and it excels in a variety of areas. However, it lacks some features like wireless charging and IP certification, but that is not a downfall and does not affect the device’s overall performance. The 8+128GB model costs Rs. 49,999, while the 12+1256GB variant costs Rs. 57,999. For this price, it is one of the few devices available for less than 50,000 rupees. This includes the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, which is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. If you are looking for a device that offers excellent performance, a good daylight camera, and feels premium in hand, then the Realme GT 2 Pro will not disappoint. However, suppose you are looking for a smartphone with wireless charging and an IP certification. In that case, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is a good option, but keep in mind that Motorola’s track record of providing updates is not fantastic.

For a maiden premium flagship from Realme, the GT 2 Pro is full of surprises. It has novel design, premium construction, impressive display, fun-to-use camera system, and good on-battery time. Yet, it fails to excite simply because of inconsistent performance and thermal issues. Moreover, it draws a blank on few crucial things one expects in a premium smartphone such as wireless charging and ingress protection rating for water and dust resistance. That said, the Realme GT 2 Pro has the potential to rank among the best in its segment, but not with its current form.

Realme has tried to give almost everything in its flagship GT 2 Pro. From a classy elegant design, and powerful performance, to commendable cameras and other nifty features, Realme has checked the boxes right, and that too in some trendy fashion. The phone not only gives tough competition to smartphones in its price range but also to the ones that are more expensive. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE comes on par with its pricing but it can't match the performance of the GT 2 Pro. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a 144Hz OLED display, slightly faster wired charging, and wireless charging, and a Pixel-like Android experience ends up being another tempting choice, and could make choosing the GT 2 Pro tough. Compared to the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, the Realme GT 2 Pro lacks a better sound output and battery backup. Other than these, I do not find the phone compromising on the basics. The phone feels grand in the way it is built, and the way it performs; this is what most of us seek from a high-end phone.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is not trying to be the flashiest flagship out there. But it delivers what it is trying to achieve. You get a good set of cameras, powerful performance, and good design clubbed with a solid build, feature-packed software, and terrific battery life, all at the starting price of Rs 49,999. This puts it well below other Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones like the iQOO 9 Pro and the OnePlus 10 Pro. However, I did feel the 12GB/256GB variant which comes in at Rs 57,999 is a steep rise for extra RAM and storage. The base variant is the better bang-for-buck deal. If you’re looking to buy a true flagship phone, without compromising much on pretty much anything, the Realme is the best phone under Rs 50,000 right now.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is going to make a big difference in the smartphone industry. It has a top-of-the-line processor, lightning-fast charging, and a beautiful display. The eco-friendly design makes it feel as if it’s just as luxurious as its more expensive competitors. Not only that, but the phone’s cameras are also quite good, so you can take lovely photos at any time of day or night. To be clear, this does not mean the smartphone is perfect. It doesn’t have wireless charging and it doesn’t have a telephoto camera, two things that some people would want more than I do. If you can ignore those, then this device is absolutely worth considering. Stay tuned for our detailed review of Realme GT 2 Pro’s performance, camera, and battery life.

While the Realme GT 2 Pro has its flaws, what it really represents is a renewed statement of intent from the company. Not only is it amongst the first phones in the world to offer a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it's the first example of Realme pushing past Full HD+ resolution (while also showcasing advanced LTPO 2.0 tech) in order to deliver a more premium experience to users. It also ushers in improved long-term software support, further improving the company's existing value-for-money proposition. The company hasn't stopped there, however, with green credentials that include integrating biopolymer into the phone's design, the move to near plastic-free packaging (21.7% down to just 0.3%) and the fact that, in terms of sustainability, the GT 2 Pro is also the world’s first TCO 9.0-certified phone. The Realme GT 2 Pro pushes the envelope, but not necessarily in the ways you might expect, and while the camera could be better and typical top-tier flagship features (like water resistance and wireless charging) are still missing, at the very least, this phone is a promising sign of what's to come.

To be honest, I haven’t encountered a realme device that really wowed me, which is understandable considering the company’s offerings were mostly centered on providing competitively priced mid-rangers. Well, until now. The realme GT2 Pro became that Android that I wanted to have. It looks great, has outstanding performance, great cameras with micro, and a big battery. I was even surprised that realme priced the 12GB + 256GB model at PHP 34,990. It can even go lower during sale events. That is a price that is hard to beat, considering that its competitors are priced at PHP 40K and up. The design, specs, and price combo is just hard to beat. And all I can say is, I want it.

The Realme GT 2 Pro starts at Rs 49,999 which at first, might sound a bit steep. That said, having spent some time with the phone, I feel that it is well worth the price. For one, the smartphone is the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 backed phone in the market, right alongside the Moto Edge 30 Pro. Furthermore, the device ships with a fantastic, pixel-dense display that will undoubtedly enhance your media consumption and gaming experience. That’s not all, as the phone’s cameras are quite capable too, meaning you will be able to click serene photos come night or day. That’s not to say that the phone is perfect and anyone looking to get a device with IP certification will have to look elsewhere. Furthermore, unlike Motorola’s offering, the Realme GT 2 Pro doesn’t support wireless charging either. Now, provided you can live with the aforementioned omissions, you will find plenty to like about the Realme GT 2 Pro. Else, you’ll have to grab the Moto Edge 30 Pro, or increase your budget to either accommodate the OnePlus 10 Pro, or the Samsung Galaxy S22 (review).

The Realme GT 2 Pro is a refreshing device from the youngest BBK brand. It stands out amongst a sea of familiar smartphones with predictable upgrades by making meaningful changes. The design and materials used here genuinely feel great, all while ensuring that basics like performance, battery life, and camera performance are on point. It lacks bells and whistles like an IP rating and wireless charging, but there’s still a lot of value to be found here. Buyers in India will want to consider some of 2021’s flagship killers like the OnePlus 9 Pro or the Iqoo 9, both of which include high-end processors and additions like wireless charging or even 120W charging support. That said, the Realme GT 2 Pro deservedly earns a recommendation for trying out something a little different and succeeding.

The Realme GT 2 Pro's closest rival at the moment is the Motorola Edge 30 Pro (Review). I will be testing the Realme GT 2 Pro's cameras, battery life, gaming performance, and much more in the coming days so don't forget to check Gadgets 360 for the full review, coming up soon.

The best Realme phone to date has ample performance, a great screen and versatile set of cameras, all wrapped up in an eco-conscious shell that feels almost as premium as the considerably more expensive competition. For a company best known for its more affordable handsets, this is proof it can also deliver at the high-end – although without a telephoto rear camera or wireless charging, it isn’t quite on the same level as true flagship rivals.

So how would I rate Realme GT 2 Pro at launch? High. The phone is basically devoid of any serious weaknesses. On the downside: no water resistance, no inductive charging, no possibility of expanding the memory with a card, no minijack. As for the negative features, I would also mention the noticeable throttling and too intense heating of this smartphone under heavy load. To be completely happy, I also miss the full, even stereo of the speakers... and that's about the disadvantages.

Realme usually wades in the cheaper, more budget-friendly phone market, but with the GT 2 Pro, the company is dipping its toes in the premium space; and this genuine flagship device is a good first effort. While it doesn't offer every single feature you could want in a phone, the essentials shine enough that the price tag of $750 / £700 / around AU$1,100 seems reasonable. Undercutting rivals like those within the Samsung Galaxy S22 and iPhone 13 range, the Realme GT 2 Pro can stand its ground among the big hitters.

The realme GT 2 Pro‘s display is gorgeous, its performance is blazing fast, the battery life is excellent, and the cameras are more than capable. I am thrilled to see a smartphone of this caliber coming from realme, and if this is an indication of what we have to look forward to from the brand, I can’t wait to see more! Realme has built a loyal following by offering higher-end features not generally found on moderately priced smartphones, and with the realme GT 2 Pro, they’ve created a true flagship that won’t break the bank. Loaded with features, including the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform, a large AMOLED display with an adaptive 1~120Hz refresh rate, a massive battery, and plenty of RAM, the GT 2 Pro is one of the best Android smartphone options available anywhere.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is a fantastic smartphone that comes in at a price below a lot of the competition. It costs €749 outside of the early bird pricing, which still puts it below a lot of other flagships that are available now or will be made available in the future. It’s hard not to recommend it, especially if what you’re looking for is a flagship experience with a great camera, too. It’s genuinely difficult to find any major flaws in the Realme GT 2 Pro, aside from the software experience if Realme UI isn’t something that you’re interested in. If you’re the average user though, it’s filled with good features and is easy to use, and won’t get in the way of you using your smartphone. I’ll definitely be using this device as my daily driver for a while to come, as its lightweight design and comfortable feel in hand make it a comfortable phone to use for long periods of time. Is this phone a competitor to the Ultra smartphones of the world? Arguably not, as there are some noticeable omissions.

Realme’s most well-rounded phone yet would make a great purchase for someone who appreciates the phone’s unique selling points, and is at least worth considering for its strong price-to-spec ratio. You’ll have to look elsewhere if you prioritize photography or live in the U.S. though.

Realme GT2 Vs GT2 Pro Comparison & Review. How does the GT2 compare to the more expensive GT2 Pro? They both share the same IMX766 50MP f1.8 main camera, but the GT2 has the last-gen SD888, both models tested has the same 12GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both have 65W fast chargers and 5000mAh batteries. See why I feel the cheaper GT2 is the model to go for!

The only things we would have liked to see included on the GT 2 Pro is wireless charging, an IP rating, and a dedicated telephoto lens instead of the microscopic camera, although that would have increased the price. With its uniquely brilliant and eco-friendly design, vibrant display, speedy charging, more than capable cameras, and true flagship performance, the GT 2 Pro is a welcome addition to the high-end smartphone market, especially when you consider that at €749/£699 it costs less than the base Galaxy S22. And, if you move quickly you can snag the GT 2 Pro for just €649/£599 as part of the early-bird promotion, which brings it into direct competition with Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE that makes do with last year’s hardware.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is sure to make an impact in the smartphone world. Its top-end performance, super-fast charging and stunning screen are flagship-level but actually, the price and size of it are more middle-ground. If you want a killer camera then you may want to look elsewhere as this is more for the casual and amateur photographer. But that's not to say it isn't able to produce good shots, because it can, as long as you get the lighting and focus spot on. So there are a few areas where this handset could be improved and the design may not be for everyone, but all things considered, I would recommend the Realme GT 2 Pro because it is excellent value for money.

I know, the whole concept of every company building a new flagship killer is kind of old. Heck by now we even have the flagship makers also doing their own killers as a way to adapt to a trend that's at least 10 years old. The problem is that none of them really deliver on that promise, or at least not as well as OnePlus did when they came up with the concept. Realme has been known to have kind sort-of taken over this approach, but now it seems the company wants to push a bit further. This is the Realme GT2 Pro, what the company dubs as The Most Premium Flagship they've ever made, and which I do agree with, even if it drifts a bit away from what we've known them for. It's interesting to see that even if most profits for smartphone companies are not in flagship territory, every company eventually wants to show what its capable of. With Diego on camera, I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow at Barcelona's MWC, and let's take a quick look.

The early bird price of the Realme GT2 Pro makes the phone a lucrative offer, but its regular price of €750 puts it against some big, more recognizable names in the industry. That's not to say the handset is not well-equipped for the job. The GT2 Pro still has a great display, long battery life, fast charging, excellent camera performance across all scenarios (especially the ultrawide with its added-value features), and utilizes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1's full potential. We are quite keen on the Paper White and Paper Green design options as they eliminate smudges and provide superior grip to glass-made devices. Oh, and the bio-based polymer seems to keep the surface temperatures low even after long periods of gaming. So even at €750, the Realme GT2 Pro is an easy recommendation, but it could have been one of our top picks for this year if it wasn't for the telephoto camera and wireless charging omission.

Realme’s first foray into the premium mobile space isn’t perfect, but it definitely feels like a major step forward for the traditionally mid-market brand. Those looking for an alternative handset offering impressive visuals, seamless performance and quirky camera features will likely find lots to admire about the GT 2 Pro, though its price tag, which undercuts the latest Samsung and iPhone rivals, inevitably gives way to a few practical hiccups.

For a first go at a flagship phone, the Realme GT2 Pro stands out for a number of reasons. The textured papery back panel, for instance, is a nice way to use plastic and the no-compromise display is impressive. Being a sub-brand of Oppo’s owner BBK, fast charging was always likely and I haven’t been disappointed by the Dart Charging here. Being able to fully charge in 30 minutes will always be a handy extra. To meet that £599 price there are some sacrifices though they are all that you’d expect and will probably be able to live with. Qi charging, an official IP rating and a proper zoom camera are rarely vital. While I haven’t had enough time with the phone for a full verdict, there’s certainly enough here to get me interested.

The Realme GT2 Pro deserves major props for its sustainability commitment. Its choice of a paper-themed design to express its new bio-based polymer shell is both tasteful and beautiful. Its performance in the hardware department is notable, though we wish it went with a telephoto camera instead of a gimmicky and pointless macro camera. Unfortunately, the phone's strengths are subtle, and its design even more so. Unless you see the Paper White and Paper Green colors, you might pass it off as yet another early 2022 flagship phone. It's an unfair and unjust assessment for a phone that is boldly raising its voice in support of the environment, but, unfortunately, it needs to shout even louder to be heard and seen.

The Realme GT2 Pro smartphone provides you with the best possible specs on the market, including the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Still, the lack of certain features such as wireless charging, reverse charging, and water resistance may disappoint you to some extent. If you are satisfied with the specs, then you may choose to buy this smartphone. In case you do need a phone that provides a complete flagship feature set, then you should look for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series or Samsung’s budged flagship series such as the Galaxy S20 FE the newly released Galaxy S21 FE smartphone. Both the Galaxy S20 FE and S21 FE have wireless charging, reverse charging, water resistance, and lots of other features in a decent price range. The Realme GT2 Pro smartphone arrives with impressive flagship-level specs at $849 (Rs 62,999), while the phone is released in January 2022. Let’s start with the screen that offers an LTPO2 AMOLED panel with a 6.7-inches display. It provides a bundle of 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support and following that, it also provides 1400 nits (peak) brightness. At the top, there’s a 32MP selfie camera. On the other hand, the phone renders a triple camera setup including the 50MP primary, 50MP ultra-wide, and new 3MP microscope lens at your service. Qualcomm Adreno 730:
