Yes, the Poco X6 Pro is fun, even if it does have some weaknesses. This is actually par for the course, as smartphones priced below $400 inevitably have to make compromises here and there. In this case, Xiaomi fully focused on performance and ensures gamers can have fun with the device without any worries. However, if your main focus is on the camera, you should take a look at our gallery to be on the safe side and perhaps look at other models as an alternative. If you're not constantly connected to your smartphone, the battery can even last for two days without a power outlet. Thanks to the 67 W charging speed, you can have a few hours of use with just ten minutes of charging time. The display is excellent, I like the design and I don't mind the fat camera bump. 5G support? That's logical! The device is only splash-proof, which is a shame, but IP68 is anything but an extra at this price point.

As long as you don't want a camera-centric phone, the Poco X6 Pro should be at the top of your list. For its price of €350, there are hardly any other phones that can beat the price-to-performance of the Poco. The phone has a lot to like, including its ridiculously good 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, great performance, and smooth system animations. The fast charging and great battery life are like a cherry on top, adding further value to a great phone. But the Poco X6 Pro has issues. You may not like HyperOS, especially if you prefer the stock experience that Pixel phones typically offer. Bloatware and unwanted system apps remain an issue, and it's high time Poco addressed them. Overall, with the Poco X6 Pro, the company has again played on its strength. It has delivered a phone that will impress you with its design, specs, and performance but falter in the camera department. If that suits your needs, you can't go wrong with the Poco X6 Pro.

The POCO X6 Pro is an excellent performer in its segment. While performance may have been POCO’s priority, the device strikes a good balance of the display and cameras too, particularly the primary rear camera. But there are some areas where it lags the competition. Most notably, an IP54 rating isn’t the best you get at a sub-$400 price. The phone doesn’t give you the best ultrawide, macro, and selfie cameras either. Additionally, the Black and Gray variants with a glossy plastic back catch fingerprints and smudges too easily. If you plan to get this phone, picking up the vegan leather variant (Yellow color) might be the best idea.

Regarding the drawbacks, let’s start with the negatives since the positives have already been discussed a lot. Firstly, the photo quality is just good, and it would have been desirable for something more outstanding, and the additional modules are weak. The glossy finish on the models in black and gray colors is also a bit bothersome (but no one forbids you to buy a cool yellow one). Well, the dust and moisture protection rating could be higher. The new HyperOS is not a revolution and is very similar to the former MIUI, still containing ads in the branded applications and unwanted pre-installed software (bloatware). The key advantage, of course, is the new powerful chipset, which not only outperforms all competitors in the same price range but also has a high power reserve for the future.

In the market of mid-range smartphones, the Poco X6 Pro emerges as a formidable contender, challenging not just its direct competitors but also nudging the boundaries of what’s expected from a device in its price bracket. For those seeking flagship-like performance and features without the flagship price tag, this phone is an enticing option. After spending extensive time with the Poco X6 Pro, dissecting its features, performance, and overall user experience, it’s time to draw some conclusions. HyperOS, based on Android 14, offers a fresh and optimized user experience. While bearing resemblance to MIUI, it introduces enhancements and features that improve usability. The commitment to three years of OS updates and four years of security patches is a significant plus, promising longevity for the device.

The overall performance is impressive, handling various tasks smoothly, and gaming experience is solid, thanks to the Ultra Game Mode. The HyperOS, based on Android 14, brings in some cool customisations, but there's a bit of bloatware –– albeit, uninstallable –– is still a drawback. The camera setup, especially the 64-megapixel primary sensor, churns out some fantastic daylight shots, and the zoom feature is surprisingly good. The phone's 5,000mAh battery, coupled with 67W fast charging, easily lasts a day and refuels in a jiffy. Overall, despite some design and camera limitations, the Poco X6 Pro offers a great deal for mid-range buyers. If you value strong performance and a vibrant display, this phone is definitely worth considering.

The POCO X6 Pro stands out as a performance-oriented device, ideal for gaming enthusiasts and power users who need that extra bit of horsepower. The standard POCO X6, on the other hand, offers a balanced performance with slightly better selfie capabilities, making it a great choice for everyday users who value efficiency and versatility. Ultimately, the choice depends on your specific needs and budget considerations. Both phones deliver excellent value in their respective segments, maintaining POCO’s reputation for quality and affordability.

The Poco X6 Pro is hands down the best smartphone to buy in its segment. It has features like MediaTek Dimensity Ultra 8300 Ultra, 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, and Xiaomi HyperOS, making it an ideal choice for most heavy users. While the camera is not its strongest suit, it produces decent results in daylight conditions. The battery life is also great, with the smartphone charging up fully under an hour, and lasting more than a day. The Poco X6 Pro starts at Rs. 26999 and is in a segment where heavy hitters such as Samsung, OnePlus and Motorola also have decent offerings. Despite this, for most buyers, it is the smartphone to go for.

The Poco X6 Pro 5G has the price of a premium mid-segment device but the soul of a flagship. That MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip, LPDDR5X RAM, 1.5K AMOLED display, and UFS 4.0 storage is the stuff of which higher price flagships are made. Its other specs are more premium mid-segment, but there is enough here to satiate the appetite of gamers and those seeking a lot of processing power on a tight budget. The Poco X6 Pro 5G is simply the most powerful device you can get for not just under Rs 30,000 but perhaps Rs 40,000. In true Poco F1 tradition, the Poco X6 Pro 5G is not one for those who seek glittering design or camera beauty, but for those who are looking for sheer power to race through tasks simple and complex. The premium mid-segment thing has a beast. And if you opt for the yellow variant, it’s a bit of beauty, too! Will the combination of new hardware and software and a killer price help the Poco X6 Pro 5G build on its recent success and overcome competition from the OnePlus Nord series and its own Redmi Note siblings?

The Poco X6 Pro is undoubtedly an excellent smartphone for the price, and Poco has a winner on its hand. It packs an excellent display, chart-topping performance and great battery life. The Dimensity 8300 Ultra offers flagship-level performance, beating even the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and can handle any game in the highest possible settings. Its 64-megapixel primary can take decent shots, but the 8-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel macro lens are average at best. It is also the first phone in the country to run HyperOS out of the box with Android 14. Overall, the Poco X6 Pro is truly a flagship killer and is more powerful than any other phone under the 30K price segment. The only downside is the average camera and preinstalled bloatware. You can consider other alternatives, such as the Poco F5 and iQOO Neo 7 Pro, which offer similar performance but have a higher price tag.

While not flawless, the POCO X6 Pro merits consideration as a midrange smartphone. Its strengths lie in its refined design, vibrant display with thin bezels, robust stereo speakers, feature-rich camera system, highly customisable user interface, and top-tier performance. These attributes outweigh the weaknesses, primarily rooted in the user interface — an aspect that holds potential for improvement through firmware updates, should POCO choose to address them.

After using the Poco X6 Pro for over a week, I would recommend the phone to anyone looking for a midrange beast. If you're looking for a powerful smartphone under Rs. 30,000 that can play all your favourite games, has a great display, offers good battery life, and has a decent set of cameras, then the Poco X6 Pro is an excellent choice. HyperOS is also good; if you can ignore the bloatware, you've got a total bang for the buck. Apart from the camera performance and the IP rating, I'd recommend this over the Oppo Reno 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Apparently, 8MP is all the resolution Xiaomi will expend to Pocos' ultrawide cameras, so stills will be somewhat limited in their detail and 4K video is a no-go. The fact that stabilization is a bit shaky on the main camera is another imaging-related gripe that we have with this model. Also in the gripes category is the smudge fest on the back of our review unit, though you could work around it by going for the yellow colorway or using the bundled case. Normally, we wouldn't have scoffed at an IP54 rating, but as it turns out the competition's dust and water game is a notch up and the X6 Pro isn't quite as protected. But the Poco's greatness shines brightest on the front, where the thoroughly excellent display tops things off nicely with Dolby Vision playback - a most welcome rarity. The speedy charging complements a solid battery life result too. A key selling point for the X6 Pro is the chipset has power to spare and actually comes in a package that's not a one-trick pony.

The Poco X6 Pro makes a number of small but potentially meaningful tweaks to a familiar formula, with a tighter design, an improved display, and a main camera that takes better shots in low lighting. Meanwhile, the new Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor offers almighty performance for such a cheap phone, and the phone’s stamina and wired charging provision remains extremely competitive. It should be noted that Xiaomi’s budget performance brand finds itself surrounded by classier, better-rounded competitors these days. For a little more money you can get the flagship-troubling delights of the Pixel 7a, while those who want to spend less can grab the startlingly complete Motorola Edge 40 Neo. Both offer a much nicer software environment, too. However, the Poco X6 Pro earns its elevated place on the mid-range market, particularly for gaming fans on a budget. It’s more of a dedicated specialist rather than a talented all-rounder, but it does what it does very well indeed.

POCO is offering sizeable upgrades with the X6 Pro, and the result is a device that's much better than its predecessor. It uses the same 120Hz AMOLED panel as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, and it is nearly twice as bright and does a great job with Dolby Vision content. The internal hardware is noticeably faster, the phone is great for gaming, and you get a decent camera at the back along with stellar battery life and fast charging. Sure, the auxiliary cameras aren't great, and video recording is strictly average, and Xiaomi's Android 14 skin isn't all that it is made out to be. But the fact that you get much better hardware and long-term updates makes the X6 Pro the best option in Xiaomi's sub-$400 portfolio at the moment, and that's no small feat.

The POCO X6 Pro 5G deserves to be crowned the value king in the sub-₹30,000 price segment. Starting at a competitive price of ₹26,999, the POCO X6 Pro 5G offers flagship-grade performance with impressive cooling, Android 14 and HyperOS out of the box, a decent build, and an improved camera. It butts heads with more expensive offerings in the market such the iQOO Neo 7 Pro and provides comparable performance on a discount. Tech enthusiasts will undoubtedly reminisce about POCO’s initiation of the ‘flagship killer’ movement with the iconic POCO F1 (review). Since then, the brand has consistently demonstrated commitment to delivering unparalleled value without compromising on quality. Fast forward to 2024, and POCO continues this legacy with the introduction of its POCO X6 series of smartphones. Unboxing Xiaomi's Poco X6 Pro 5G, with a one-week review of the camera performance, gaming, battery life & Hyper OS. I've used the Poco X6 Pro as my full-time phone for those seven days and it's a big upgrade in some ways, incremental in others. But it's certainly one of the best budget mid-range smartphones in 2024 and a hot rival vs the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. That 64MP main camera is a respectable effort, if not much of an upgrade over the X5 series. The Poco X6 Pro can capture crisp photos if the lighting isn't too dodgy, as well as 4K video on demand. If you're a gamer, multi-tasker or heavy user, the Poco X6 Pro will be a smart choice on a budget. That Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset can make short work of Genshin Impact and other Android titles, while the battery life is also superb.

The Poco X6 is a generally all-around good option for those looking for a $300/300€ phone. It costs less than the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G but offers roughly the same as the more expensive Note 13 Pro 5G. The trade-offs when compared to the super popular Redmi model can be found in the less capable main camera, and lack of eSIM support on the Poco X6. There is also a more premium finish on the Redmi’s back, if that matters to you. The Poco X6 price positioning also avoids competing with the much faster Poco F6 model, or phones that excel in other categories, a difficult spot in which we found the Redmi Notes earlier this year.

Time for the verdict. The phone costs 298 euros, which makes it, in my opinion, quite an attractive proposition, especially for those for whom the display is important. This phone has a very good display and quite good speakers, so it will be great for multimedia consumption. The photo could be a bit better, especially with all the additional lenses, but the main lens does the trick. The battery could provide a slightly longer operating time, because you don't really feel the 5100 mAh. If I didn't know what battery was inside, I would bet 4,500, but maybe it can be improved with an update. Speaking of updates - this is one big unknown.

In conclusion, I can say that the POCO X6 5G is a great smartphone for its price segment. It boasts a fantastic AMOLED display, excellent performance, high battery life, and an affordable price tag. Among the contentious points, I can only mention the glossy body, which is challenging to keep clean. However, if you think about it, this issue is more relevant to the black version of the smartphone. With the white and blue versions, there should be fewer problems in this regard. Another contentious point is the cameras. Overall, the cameras of the POCO X6 5G capture decent photos and videos. Decent, but honestly, it could be better, especially in terms of low-light photo and video quality. In all other aspects, the POCO X6 5G is solid. It’s so good that it has the potential to become a favorite among users and a bestseller.

The Poco X6 5G launched in India with its big brother, the Poco X6 5G Pro. Both smartphones roll out in the Indian market as competition that even pricier phones are afraid of. The Poco X6 5G launched in India at a starting price of ₹21,999, and believe me this smartphone is worth every penny. According to my testing and experience, the Poco X6 5G is a proper mid-range killer. Its beautiful and responsive display is as good as a sub-35K smartphone’s display. The processor is also a mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 runs games and other apps smoothly. The low-light camera is an exception, but otherwise, the camera is brilliant including the front camera. Coming to its battery, it’s one thing that Poco should focus on. If that’s fixed….this smartphone is such a gem. However, I really loved the fast charging in this smartphone.

Both Xiaomi Poco X6 and X6 Pro are extremely powerful smartphones considering the pricing. These smartphones were designed for enthusiasts who wanted the highest performance and battery possible in this price range and Xiaomi certainly delivered that. Both smartphones have close flagship-level displays, chipsets, batteries, and even design. No other smartphone comes close to providing this level of value at the same price tag. Both smartphones are dominating their respective price segment. They are excellent smartphones but not without flaws. Like the IP dust and water protection could have been better or even better camera performance. But considering the price tag, it’s hard to call them cons. So, if you are an enthusiast whose priority is great design, fantastic display, or performance-oriented chipset, then these new smartphones are going to be perfect for you. But if you care more about the camera, you may want to go for some other smartphone.

In a vacuum, the Poco X6 is a great purchase, it has excellent specifications for the price, and it’s very enjoyable to live with. The problem comes via its Pro sibling, which only costs £50 more and is a much more compelling option. The X6 Pro stands out as one of the best options for gaming in its price bracket, and that’s definitely not the case with the standard Poco X6. However, the display, speakers and charging speeds are still a cut above most of the competition. You still get that solid main camera, too. If you know you’ll never be gaming, or doing anything processor-heavy like video editing, then you could save yourself some cash here. In most cases, though, I’d advise saving up the extra and going for the Pro. Then you’ll get double the storage, Android 14, and a much faster processor. It’s also worth considering the Samsung Galaxy A34, which can currently be found for less than the X6 and offers longer software support and far less bloatware. With that model, you’d lose out on some performance and get a less impressive display, though.

POCO X6 5G is a no-nonsense, performance-oriented phone that is ideal for gaming, watching videos, or multitasking. With 67W fast-charging support, the phone refuels in no time and is ready to go again, with its 5,100mAh battery keeping the lights on beyond a day with ease. The phone also manages to click decent pictures but it does have some consistency issues in this department. While I like the design of the phone, if you hate using phone cases, you’d have a problem here as the protruding camera sensors cause wobbling issues while the phone is lying on a flat surface. In this price range, I cannot think of a phone that offers better performance, so I’d say that if you are looking for a phone that delivers on this front, the X6 is a no-brainer. However, if you’re looking for a better camera phone, you can go for other options such as Moto Edge 40 Neo, Realme 11 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy F54.

Poco has always offered a fantastic price-to-performance ratio with its X lineup, and the new Poco X6 is no exception. It has a sharp 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus, a first in this segment. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is capable of handling daily tasks and fulfilling your gaming needs. Cameras have always been the weakness of Poco devices, and sadly, the X6 continues this tradition. The 5,100mAh battery can easily last a day, and the 67W charger can quickly top up the phone within an hour. Overall, the Poco X6 is a powerful smartphone that will fulfil most of your needs if you can look past its average cameras and bloatware-ridden software.

The POCO X6 is a decent package for its price. The phone has a lot going for it. You get an excellent display, loud stereo speakers, reliable performance, a good main rear camera, and awesome charging speed. All of this is packed in a decent build quality and design. A good design is subjective, anyway. On the downside, the other three cameras leave a little to be desired. The phone’s battery life isn’t great either.

The Poco X6 sits in direct competition with the Redmi Note 13 Pro. While the latter, with its 200 MP camera, will surely offer a better camera performance, there is also a big price difference between the Poco X6 and the Redmi Note 13 Pro. The Poco X6 is priced in India at a starting price of Rs 19,999 for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant, and goes up to Rs 22,999 for the model that offers 12 GB RAM 512 GB storage. The Redmi Note 13 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 23,999 for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage version, and goes up to Rs 27,999 for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB option. There is a price difference of straight up Rs 4,000 for the base variant and Rs 5,000 for the top variant. Essentially, the Poco X6 is able to offer a more well-rounded performance for a much lower price. So, unless you are looking at a camera-centric performance, and don’t mind shelling out an extra grand, the Poco X6 would definitely be better value for money.

In the fiercely contested mid-range smartphone market, the POCO X6 holds its ground well. Its pricing pits it directly against other mid-range phones from brands like Samsung, Realme, and Oppo. What makes the POCO X6 stand out is its balance of performance and features – notably the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, a substantial battery with fast charging, and a high-quality display – often at a price point lower than its counterparts. The POCO X6 emerges as a strong contender in the value-for-money segment. It successfully delivers a suite of features that are typically associated with more expensive models, such as a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, substantial RAM and storage options, and a versatile camera setup with improved night photography capabilities. The inclusion of contemporary features like 5G supports further future-proofs of the device, adding to its value proposition.

So overall, the POCO X6 is a very capable phone with decent performance numbers and battery life. Not to mention it can easily run most of the games you can think of playing such as Genshin and Honkai. Best of all, it comes at an affordable price without stepping into the Xiaomi range. As for the price, the POCO X6 starts at just PHP XX,XXX, making it a serious contender in the mid-range smartphone segment. For that price, you already get a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with more than enough RAM and storage to match. With POCO starting the year strong, mid-range smartphones that will be launched later this year will have some serious competition with the X6. But if you’re in dire need of upgrading to a more capable phone this January 2024, you can’t go wrong with the Poco X6.

On the hardware side, the Poco X6 is an upgrade on last year’s model. It has a a higher IP rating, improved speakers, a bigger battery and more capable rear and front cameras – plus smooth performances thanks to its Snapdragon processor. It also retains the standard Poco compromises: a flimsy build quality, poor low-light camera performance and (most importantly) cluttered software with tons of app bloat. If you can overlook these flaws, then the Poco X6 5G is a strong mid-ranger… but the X6 Pro is even better still.

Unboxing Xiaomi's Poco X6 5G, with a comparison vs the Poco X6 Pro phone to see if the camera, gaming performance, battery life etc is much different. While the specs are quite similar on the Poco X6 and that Pro model, this cheaper option is powered by a Snapdragon vs Mediatek chipset. You've got the same camera tech, although photo results are slightly different. And this side-by-side review will show off all of the other differences with these value Xiaomi phones. While the Xiaomi Poco X6 5G is more budget friendly, you've got some advantages like a headphone jack and a slightly bigger battery. Plus Gorilla Glass Victus to protect that display. It's still running MiUI, but HyperOS is on its way!

The Poco X6 is an excellent upgrade over the Poco X5, improving on almost every single aspect - design, display, battery and charging, speakers, performance, camera, software even. And it is as well-rounded as every other Xiaomi-made phone and offers great bang for the money. We liked the Poco X6 for its IP54-rated design, but the real showstopper is the Dolby Vision OLED with all sorts of niceties. The 67W fast charging and the new chip are quite alright, too. The cameras do well in broad daylight, but the low-light performance is mediocre at best. We did expect more. Finally, the Poco X6 should have launched with HyperOS like the Poco X6 Pro, but alas - it comes with Android 13 and MIUI 14. The HyperOS update is around the corner, but it will eat one of those three promised major updates right after you buy the phone, which is a terrible trick. Overall, the Poco X6 is a solid phone with competitive price and features. And that is why it is easy to recommend in spite of some not so major flaws - it is just a solid offer.

At its price of Rs 15,999, the Poco X6 Neo does not face much competition and hits the middle ground between the sub-Rs 14,000 devices, which tend to compromise on display and cameras, the Rs 18,000 and above devices, which have better specs but come with higher price tags. The Poco X6 Neo brings elements like a very eye-catching design, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and good camera and display from higher price points. While it does cut corners in terms of OIS, stereo speakers, and charging speed, it is perhaps the best phone for Rs 15,999 (lower if you can get the right offers) to buy in the market at the time of writing.

In summary, the POCO X6 Neo does face some stiff competition in its price range against the likes of the Moto G54 5G (review), Lava Blaze Curve 5G (review), and of course, the Redmi Note 13 5G. While the former two phones offer better performance (at least if we go by benchmark numbers), the Redmi handset offers better camera performance. All said and done, the X6 Neo emerges as an option worth considering for consumers seeking a blend of performance, versatility, and value. While it may not revolutionise the smartphone landscape, aspects like refined design, dependable performance and immersive display position it as a worthy contender in its price segment.

The Poco X6 Neo is a really well-designed and well-built device with a high-quality display. The design alone makes us want to recommend it because of how nice it feels in the hand in a way that makes it far better than several more expensive smartphones. The performance, for the most part, is also good, as is the general camera quality. The only downside would be the software experience, more specifically the intrusive nature of the ads, notifications, and bloatware. The single loudspeaker is also unbecoming even at this price point, and certain parts of the software could use more optimization to improve performance. We are also not fond of the device detecting benchmarks and artificially inflating its scores. Still, for the price, the X6 Neo is really good value and something we are happy to recommend.

The Poco X6 Neo 5G has a starting price of Rs. 15,999 and sees competition from phones such as the Realme 12 5G, Redmi Note 13 5G, and the Vivo T3 5G. However, only the Realme 12 5G is in the same price bracket, whereas the others cost a little bit more. Of course, when you pay more, you will also get a better phone, especially when it comes to camera performance. Poco's X6 Neo's hardware isn't really new, but it does offer good value for money. The AMOLED display is definitely something that you won't find in this price segment and is great for content consumption. The phone can also take good photos in daylight conditions. You get good battery life, and decent performance as well. At this price point, the Poco X6 Neo is definitely a hero.

The Poco X6 Neo continues the company’s tradition of offering value-for-money smartphones with plenty of features. It offers a great AMOLED display with slim bezels and remains one of the few phones in this segment to provide an AMOLED screen. You also get a slim body with a lightweight design, decent performance, and excellent battery life. If you can look past the average low-light camera output and bloatware-ridden Android 13, then the Poco X6 Neo is a great all-rounder smartphone at its price. You can also take a look at other options, such as the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, Realme 12 5G, and the Lava Blaze Curve 5G.

The POCO X6 Neo is one of the best phones for content consumption under ₹16,000. Its incredibly slim bezels coupled with a bright AMOLED display ensure that you are in for a visual treat – at home or on the go. The phone also boasts an amazingly slim and lightweight build, perfect for day-to-day usage. However, it does miss the beat in some areas. For example, the copious amounts of bloatware is quite annoying and the battery life isn’t the best in the segment. Moreover, the phone’s performance is nothing special compared to the competition. Is the phone worth its asking price? Yes. The value aspect only crumbles if you’re a power user who prioritises speedy performance and excellent battery life the most. POCO recently launched its POCO X6 series – including the POCO X6 5G (review) and POCO X6 Pro 5G (review) – to much fanfare. Now, POCO is bringing the youngest sibling of the trio to India.

Commentaire
Xiaomi:

Mediatek Dimensity 6000:
