POCO F5 currently costs approximately 350 euros. Is it worth it? I don't think this will be a bad purchase. There are no major flaws with this phone, but there are some minor flaws and a few things that didn't really convince me. Still, overall the phone is quite nice and anyone who buys it while being aware of these few imperfections should be satisfied. Therefore, it is not a particularly high-risk purchase. However, before you decide to buy this model, I recommend checking out other shops’ offers. While visiting the official Xiaomi website, I found a slightly more expensive POCO 4 GT model with a more powerful processor and better gaming parameters. This may be a more serious choice, but if your budget is around 350 euros and you are considering offers from Xiaomi and related brands, POCO F5 is also a choice worth considering.

The ultrawide is at best decent during the day, and pretty much unusable at night. This is clearly another cost-cutting exercise, and we'll be honest: we're growing very tired of these 8 MP sensors at any price point above half of what the Poco F5 is going for. This should have been better. In the end picking the Poco F5, or any other smartphone, is a matter of personal preference - what you prioritize and what you can live without. There is no perfect device out there, and especially at mid-range prices it's impossible not to have compromises. As always, we tried our best to bring you a very detailed look at our time with it, in order to help you make an informed decision as to whether this is the one for you or not, regardless of what your specific priorities may be. For what it's worth, we've enjoyed our time with the Poco F5 more than we have with any other mid-ranger we've ever reviewed long-term, and think that, with realistic expectations considering its hardware innards, the typical Xiaomi / Poco / Redmi software situation and price, it will be a joy for anyone to use.

f you want a smartphone with flagship specs but don’t want to pay the premium that flagships usually ask for, then the Poco F5 and F5 Pro smartphones will surely fill your needs. They have the specs and the price to provide an excellent experience and performance. Both smartphones provide sheer power and value in every department at their respective price point that the legendary Poco F4 once did. However, these days the market is facing fierce competition, and having a clear winner is difficult. Both smartphones clearly offer great value, but it’s up to the customers to choose which smartphone is going to be the one for them to buy. Choose the right smartphone out of the two models depending on your needs and requirements. However, if you are not a fan of Xiaomi, then don’t worry, there are plenty of other smartphones in the market that also provide a similar value and power. Smartphones such as the Vivo iQOO Neo 7 Pro also come with similar flagship killer specs at a similar price point.

Last year's POCO phone didn't offer any major improvement over its predecessor, making the Poco F4's price hard to justify. But the new Poco F5 is a different story: it's got the power you need, and it's still affordable. But the price is starting to get a little high.

The Poco F5 5G can be a great choice for users who are looking for a smartphone that offers powerful performance for gaming and multitasking. The phone offers a lot of value for money that not only competes well with other phones in this segment but also has capabilities that users can’t undermine easily. However, if you are ready to compromise a bit on the average camera performance and the plastic back design, this smartphone can be recommended as a good buy. For customers who put gaming performance before the camera, this can be a great deal in this budget. The self-proclaimed king is ready to serve consumers looking to buy smartphones with a powerful performance in the mid-range price segment.

At its starting price of Rs 29,999 for 8 GB/ 256 GB, the Poco F5 is pretty much in a zone of its own if all you want is a phone with a powerful new chip that is capable of high-end gaming. Get out of the gaming zone, however, and it has a fair deal of competition to deal with. Perhaps the most obvious is its own sibling, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, which might not have as powerful a chip (it runs on the Dimensity 1050) but comes with a much better 200-megapixel main sensor and also 120W fast charging. Those looking for a more eye-catching design might also think of the Nothing Phone (1), which is perhaps the most striking device in the segment even more than a year after its release, and remains a very good performer. There is also the Google Pixel 6a, which, although a year old, comes with some very smart features and has one of the best cameras in the price segment.

The Poco F5 5G is an undeniable powerhouse at this price as it delivers raw performance that comes close to Qualcomm's flagship 8 Gen series SoCs. This, coupled with the good heat management makes the F5 5G an excellent option for anyone looking for a powerful smartphone for gaming. Other areas where the F5 5G excels are its display, good battery life, and slim design. I just wished it felt a bit more premium like its predecessor did. The selfie and ultra-wide cameras are also fairly average and could have been better. If you want a more premium looking phone, the Nothing Phone 1 checks all the boxes at this price, and gets you wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy A34 and Motorola Edge 40 are also worth considering if you need full-fledged waterproofing. If you are looking for good camera performance around this price, then the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G makes a good alternative as it features familiar software, and comes with quicker charging and a better set of cameras.

In the beginning of this conversation, I had mentioned that the Poco F5 has all the hallmarks of a good phone. Now, as I conclude my analysis, I can confidently say that the Poco F5 promises what it delivers. The phone has a bright and vibrant display, a decent camera setup, a powerful core ideal and a long battery life, all of which make it an ideal mid-budget buy. What’s more? It also has a bigger vapour cooling chamber for avid gamers. Sure, the bloatware is a bit of a problem, and the phone could have performed slightly better under low light conditions (don’t we all want more?), but for all practical purposes, the Poco F5 is a winner.

The Poco F5 can be considered a mid-range gaming phone, thanks to its fast processor, great display, good battery life, above-average camera, and the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is one of the few phones in this price range that focuses primarily on the user experience rather than being flamboyant in one or two departments. With the base model featuring 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage costing less than Rs 30,000, this is one of the best mid-range phones in the country. When combined with the 2-year warranty, the Poco F5 becomes a compelling package that will impress most users.

POCO F5 5G is a great phone for its price and definitely a solid performance focused phone. It can handle anything you throw at it, from general use to heavy gaming; it won’t disappoint you. The display of the phone is literally one of the best I have seen in the segment. Super thin bezels and the 120Hz refresh rate will make you fall in love with it. The battery backup is great and 67W fast charging is good enough for a casual user. While the camera performance is not top-notch, its pretty decent. All in all, POCO F5 5G is a great option under 30,000 for those who want a power-packed phone with 5G connectivity.

The Poco F5 is quite clearly a better phone than the Poco F4, with impressive performance, a nicer design, and superior battery life adding to an already impressive AMOLED display. However, some familiar drawbacks remain, including the overly busy MIUI software, a middling IP53 waterproof rating, and a camera that merely scrapes into ‘OK’ status. Now that it’s no longer a sub-£400 proposition like its predecessors, these flaws can’t be so readily overlooked. Ultimately, like the Poco F5 Pro, the Poco F5 is something of a mid-range specialist, offering a strong media and gaming-focused experience for decent money. If your priorities lie elsewhere – flagship-level design, clean software, or a genuinely good camera, say – there are plenty of better options for similar or even less money. More choice is good, of course, and the Poco F5 works its particular niche very well. What it isn’t, however, is that Holy Grail of a mid-range all-rounder that we can recommend to most people without caveat.

The POCO F5 is a gaming-focused smartphone that has a lot to offer. Talking about the niggles, the handset lacks user-expandable storage, the software contains bloatware and ads, and its ultra-wide sensor is average at best. Additionally, some may dislike the phone’s glossy finish design. If you prefer a more sophisticated design with a matte finish, the iQOO Neo 7 (review) could be a good choice for you. The smartphone, much like the POCO F5, is selling in India starting at Rs 29,999 and offers a superb performance with a lovely screen. What’s more, the Neo 7 supports 120W fast charging, which is nearly twice as fast as the POCO smartphone’s fast charging solution. On the other hand, the POCO smartphone’s 12-bit display panel is a standout feature, a unique offering not found in any other smartphone in the segment. The POCO F5 also boasts a capable chipset, stereo speakers and solid battery life, which contribute to a better gaming and multimedia experience. If these aspects appeal to you, the POCO F5 will prove to be a worthy buy for the price.

Unboxing the Poco F5 from Xiaomi, with a full comparison vs the F5 Pro for gaming, camera performance & specs. The Poco F5 boasts some clever tech and sleek design, but is it one of the best mid-range smartphones right now? Or should you upgrade to the Poco F5 Pro? These two 2023 phones may look remarkably different, but they do share the same DNA. For one, the camera tech is basically identical, although the regular Poco F5 maxes out at 4K video and you don't get the same focus action. Both can spaff out good looking photos and video in all but the lowest light. While the regular Poco F5 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, the Pro packs in an 8 Plus Gen 1. Regardless, these smartphones both offer a smooth gaming experience with Genshin Impact and other Android titles. Complete with that MiUI gaming mode, which serves up performance modes and other handy tools. The Poco F5 boasts other advantages vs the Pro, including a headphone jack and a snazzy design. UK price and release date info coming when it's announced!

The Poco F5 is a performance-centric smartphone with strength in core areas such as design, display, audio, and battery. Imaging and bloatware-loaded interface is a drag on it, yet the phone makes a strong contender in the midrange segment due to lack of worthy options from smartphone brands such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, Realme, and Samsung. Offered in 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM variants, both with 256GB on-board storage, at Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999, the Poco F5 is a midrange smartphone that is strong on paper and so in hands-on experience.

The Poco F5 is a brilliant phone, especially if you want a slim, lightweight pocket rocket that’s excellent for gaming and watching on. For a certain type of user who would rather gaming grunt and long-lasting battery life over camera clout, it’s actually a smarter choice than the Pixel 7a. The vastly different prices we’ve seen it for sale at are a problem when giving it a rating. If you can pick it up at under £350, then it’s a five-star phone: nothing else at that price can play Genshin Impact at maximum settings – it’s that simple. At its UK RRP of £449, though, it’s more like a four-star phone. After all, while the Pixel 7a isn’t better across the board, its cleaner interface, significantly better camera, wireless charging and IP67 water and dust resistance give it the edge. All said and done, though, the Poco F5 is very easy to recommend.

The POCO F5 5G takes on the flagship smartphones with its new powerful CPU onboard, and it’s truly a flagship killer when it comes to performance for the price it holds (₹29,999). POCO has been releasing rather compelling devices for years now. Price tags are really important when we talk about POCO devices. The company always tries to offer the best hardware for the price, and it seems like it managed to do so here, yet again. Both of these devices look very compelling on paper, though the ‘Pro’ model more so due to its processor. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is still a beast of an SoC, but the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is no slouch either. Neither phone has any critical flaws, while they offer good displays with high refresh rate, really good performance, fast charging, and more. The POCO F5 Pro still needs an update or two in order for the camera to become better, as it has the same camera hardware as the POCO F5. All in all, for the price, these two phones are solid offerings. Not everyone wants to spend over $1,000/€1,000 on a phone.

The Poco F5 has entered a highly competitive mid-range segment against some already very highly-rated smartphones like the Vivo V27 Pro and the iQOO Neo 7. Amid such tough competition, the Poco F5 holds its own. The new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset closes the gap further between flagship and mid-range smartphones when it comes to performance, resulting in the Poco F5 showing us one of the highest-ever CPU benchmark scores so far.

For a mid-range phone, the Poco F5 5G offers you one of the best combinations of performance and design. The phone is ideal for mobile gamers who are looking for a phone to play their favourite titles on without it burning a hole in their pocket since phones that can handle intense gaming sessions generally cost much more.

As a successor to the very first Pocophone, the Poco F5 is a phone worthy of the Poco F1 heritage, even without using a top-of-the-line Snapdragon processor. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip on the Xiaomi phone offered similar performance to all non-gaming flagship phones from 2021 and 2022 in games and daily apps, without the overheating issues that affected those devices. The Poco F5 unfortunately doesn’t improve things much in the camera department compared to its predecessors, but that was never Poco’s mission. And the Redmi Note 12’s DNA can be seen clearly in the questionable selection of secondary cameras, which could be much more useful with a telephoto lens. Another negative point is the number of third-party apps preinstalled, but by this point, it seems to be a tradeoff to have the device at a lower price range.

Finally, we come to the cameras. The Poco F5 5G features a similar setup as last year's model with a primary 64-megapixel camera with optical stabilisation (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro. For selfies, you get a 16-megapixel front camera. We hope the camera quality has improved from last year's model, which struggled in low-light situations. The Poco F5 5G seems to be a decent upgrade over its predecessor as far as the SoC and battery capacity go. I think the design could have been better as the F4 5G looked a lot more premium in my opinion. We'll have our final verdict for you in the full review. Additionally, if you want to want us to compare it with any particular phone or check anything specific, do drop us a comment.

Out of the new Poco F5 series, I’d say the Poco F5 is a better bang for your buck overall. Yes, it lacks a higher-resolution display, but it still offers a great viewing experience and audio quality. As mentioned at the beginning of this review, Poco has given the F5 much of what is great about the more expensive model, so you get more than enough of that more premium experience for less money: great display and stereo speakers to enjoy content; long-lasting battery life and fast charging; and a good front-facing camera. The camera system on the phone's back could be better, but the main shooter is decent enough to take snapshots to share with friends and family on your socials.

If you do not want to pay a lot of money for a powerful phone, Poco F5 Pro can be a good option for you. This product will be a very good choice for gamers. It has a powerful chip and uses a high-quality display. A high-capacity battery and relatively high-quality speakers are also among the features of this phone. Good cameras are also among the advantages of the Poco F5 Pro phone. However, this phone only benefits from the IP53 certificate and is not resistant to direct water pressure. The quality of the ultra-wide and macro cameras of this phone is not high. Check out Xiaomi Poco F5 Review.

The POCO F5 Pro’s battery performance placed the device in the upper part of our database. The POCO F5 Pro, equipped with larger battery, clearly outperformed its predecessor the POCO F4 GT in terms of autonomy and efficiency. The charging experience, however, didn’t quite match that of its predecessor because of the latest model’s reduced charging power. The POCO F5 Pro’s autonomy was impressive at nearly 2.5 days when used moderately, and the device’s power loss averaged 1% per night. The autonomy when testing individual use cases, such as watching videos or gaming, was also very good, but autonomy when calling was below average. The device’s on-the-go autonomy was decent. The charging experience was solid for both wired and wireless charges.

f you want a smartphone with flagship specs but don’t want to pay the premium that flagships usually ask for, then the Poco F5 and F5 Pro smartphones will surely fill your needs.

In the DXOMARK Audio tests, the Poco F5 Pro delivered a performance that that did not manage to set it apart in its class of devices. The Poco did better for Recording than Playback, thanks to overall pleasant audio recordings with a nice timbre. Recorded audio came with a natural tonal balance and very few unwanted artifacts but overall quality somewhat suffered at higher sound pressure levels. Overall Recording results were best with the front camera app and slightly lower for memo use and with the main camera. In Playback our experts noticed a strong lack of bass with the built-in speakers and an aggressive sound at higher volume settings. In Playback the Poco performed best when playing games and scored slightly lower when watching movies or listening to music.

Starting at S$659 for the 8GB+256GB Poco F5 Pro model and going up to S$759 for 12GB+512GB, this is certainly on the slightly more expensive side of a mid-range phone, but there are enough goodies in this phone to warrant the price. After testing the phone, I found it to be an enjoyable experience thanks to the 1,440p screen with 120Hz refresh rate, fast wired and wireless charging, and snappy performance. It also has IP-rated water resistance and wireless charging, which adds to the phone’s appeal. Unfortunately, the camera system is a big letdown here. The F5 Pro would be a much easier recommendation if the cameras were better.

If there is one thing I will give Razer credit for, it’s that the brand is consistent. Three generations on, and my experience with Blade 14 2023 feels just as solid as when I first reviewed its progenitor. Once again, much like its predecessors, the Ryzen 9 7940HS has proven itself as one hell of a power efficient processor, and there really wasn’t any doubt that the RTX 4070 would deliver a great gaming experience, although as a last minute observation, I think 140W may be a tad bit overkill. Especially when an RTX 4090 Mobile can run at full whack on just 125W. The only drawback I can think of to owning the Blade 14 2023 is its asking price: with a starting price of US$2399 (~RM11,116), you really are paying a premium for this machine. On that note, I still haven’t received word about local availability and pricing, but I have reached out to the brand for said information and will update you accordingly when I have it.

Assuming it supports your area's networks, the Poco F5 Pro is definitely worth considering, as long as you can live with a mediocre camera and software experience. From a hardware viewpoint, the Poco F5 Pro excels in almost all departments. It offers great build quality, a 120Hz OLED panel that gets sufficiently bright outdoors, a premium design, and fast charging speeds. The only bummer with the Poco F5 Pro is the sub-par secondary cameras and the MIUI experience. More specifically, Poco should look into removing unwanted notifications from pre-bundled system apps and improve its software update policy. Google and Samsung promise three and four years of OS updates, respectively, and five years of security patches for the majority of their devices. In comparison, Poco's promise of two OS updates and three years of security patches is simply unacceptable, no matter how affordable the phone is.

At first glance, the Poco F5 Pro is a capable yet affordable flagship phone. It has the performance, ships with 256GB of storage by default, has an impeccable display, and it's pretty good at taking photos and videos during the day. Not particularly impressive at night, though. However, the handset is easily outclassed by many 2022 flagships offering longer software support and better hardware overall. Once the handset reaches its early bird price under €500, it will make a bit more sense in 2023. But for now, maybe a last year's flagship is a sound choice. Alternatively, the vanilla F5 will take you 90% of the way for a lot less.

With everything said – is the POCO F5 Pro worth the price? That, depends entirely up to you. The local Malaysian prices and its configurations are as shown on the screen here – and we have the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version. Honestly, I think this 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant offers the worst value out of the 3. Remember, in our previous video, we talked about how 8GB RAM is probably enough for years to come – it’s your RAM speed that matters. Since this phone doesn’t have any expandable storage, then I recommend you get either the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage or 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.

The current Poco F5 pricing, although a bit high, seems to be adequate enough to spark some interest. It's sitting comfortably between the cheap midrangers and the more expensive ones with premium features, without many 2023 competitors around. More importantly, the phone excels in more than one area. The screen is great with all the HDR certifications, battery life is solid, charging speed is competitive, camera quality is surprisingly good (except for the Night mode and the selfies), performance is unrivaled even by more expensive phones thanks to the brand new SD 7+ Gen 2, loudspeakers are decent enough, and design and ergonomics are excellent. Bonus points for being IP53-rated, offering flagship-level haptics and having an OIS on the main camera. It makes the shooting experience a tad better.

The POCO F5 Pro brings some interesting additions to the affordable flagship arena. Options like a QHD+ screen and wireless charging are still relatively uncommon for under £600. A large battery, brisk wired charging, and the still-powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor otherwise contribute to a relatively well-rounded package at a reasonable price, especially if you’re in a region where you can buy the base model. Unfortunately, persistent Xiaomi/POCO software problems pop up once again. The companies seriously need to trim the bloatware, there’s no word on a long-term update pledge, and the skin still feels like the equivalent of a cover band that made it big. Hardware also isn’t quite up to scratch for the price, as the POCO F5 Pro brings a cheap (but admittedly ergonomic) design, splash resistance only, and budget-tier secondary cameras.

POCO’s F series is finally back, and the F5 Pro is a very promising budget flagship with its class-leading display and flagship internals. While its software can still be improved, the F5 Pro is a solid offering for its Php 27k starting price.

Reviewing the Poco F5 Pro mid-range smartphone with flagship style specs, including an unboxing, camera test, gaming and more. I've been using Xiaomi's Poco F5 Pro for a week now and here's my thoughts on this well-specced mobile, one of the best value of 2023 so far! This MiUI 14 phone isn't quite as beefy or desirable as actual flagship smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S23, but it isn't far off. That design may be plastic and the camera is a mere 64MP shooter, but you do get OIS and the Poco F5 Pro can shoot clever looking pics and movies most times of day. Likewise, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 may be getting on a wee bit, but it's still powerful enough to smash any game out there. Battery life is respectable, although I did finish most days on dregs (around ten percent remaining). That AMOLED screen is an absolute stunner, while the Poco F5 Pro also sports a stereo speaker setup. You've got plenty of storage packed in, although there's no microSD support. So are you tempted by the Poco F5 Pro? Is it a strong alternative to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus? Let us know your thoughts below!

Yes, we have already had a lot of fun together, Poco F5 Pro and me. Especially at the early-bird price of less than 500 Euros (around 550 USD), you get an outrageously strong smartphone. The combination of a brilliant display and flagship SoC alone makes the device the perfect multimedia smartphone. The main camera is particularly appealing, gamers will get their money's worth, and the battery gets you through the day smoothly and charges both quickly and wirelessly. Points of criticism are the not-always-convincing ultra-wide-angle cam and especially the unnecessary macro disaster. Honestly, Xiaomi: Leave that crap out right away. Either give us a telephoto sensor or simply install a dual-cam, and that's it. I did not find any problems with the software, either, except for a few too many annoying preinstalled apps.

All in all, I did enjoy using the Poco F5 Pro. The display and audio quality played very well with my addiction for consuming video content. There is also the fact that its main camera is very capable at taking some banger shots no matter the lighting conditions. Plus, you get 68W fast charging and 30W wireless charging. That being said, the 2 years of software support is big deal breaker for me. I am also a bit turned off with the issues I noticed during video recording at 4K. If neither of these are important to you, though, and you don’t mind MIUI and some of its annoyances, then there is a good chance you will enjoy the Poco F5 Pro.

The Poco F5 Pro is the Xiaomi sub-brand’s fastest, sharpest phone yet. With a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, it’s one of the best mid-range performers we’ve seen outside of a specialist gaming phone. Meanwhile, at £559, this is the cheapest phone we’ve seen with a super-sharp WQHD+ resolution display. It’s a brilliantly clear, bright, colour-accurate screen for the money. Add in little touches like wireless charging support, and the Poco F-series is close to being back to its disruptive best. It won’t be the best choice for everyone shopping at this end of the market, however. You can get a more premium design, cleaner software, and a better camera experience elsewhere – and for even less money at that. But if speedy performance and media playback in general is your outstanding priority, you won’t do better for £559 than the Poco F5 Pro.

Our end feeling with the F5 Pro is one we've not felt from Poco since the Poco F3 Pro two years ago: it's astonishing value for money (as long as the camera isn't your main concern). You get a stunning, big display, great battery life and real flagship levels of performance in a phone that costs less than half what the ultra-premium phones cost. It's amazing value for money. If Poco could learn to tame some of the user interface/MIUI software and deliver cleaner software, less crushed photos from the main camera, it would be near enough perfect. Adding wireless charging, a Quad HD display and a more thoughtful design has improved things massively from the F4.

To conclude this review, the POCO F5 is a good smartphone. It is playing in between the mid-range and flagship device segment in the Android world. Considering that the POCO F5 is the first smartphone that has a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, you can really expect that this device won’t fail you when it comes to performance. Cameras are also promising, aside from that macro lens that we really hate – in general, as it could’ve been a telephoto lens instead. Battery on the other hand is also decent. Nonetheless, we can’t really say anything negative about this device. For now, we can give the POCO F5 a recommendation score of 8 out of 10.

To conclude — we are happy to report that the F5 Pro definitely lives up to its POCO name. It has fast performance, a great screen, really good haptics, and a premium design fit for a flagship phone. While the cameras are only above average and MIUI still has more bloatware than we prefer — the overall package you get with the F5 Pro is strong enough to overcome these drawbacks. At a price starting at Php 26,999 for the 8GB and 256GB models, there is a strong case to be made for the POCO F5 Pro as one of the top Android phones of the year. We highly recommend it.

The Poco F5 Pro is a very capable smartphone. The performance and efficiency are top-notch, the main camera takes fun photos, the mature design means it’ll look good wherever it goes, and the battery lasts two days. I should be telling you to buy it, and in a way I am, but not before you’ve had a good, long, hard look at the Google Pixel 7 and the Samsung Galaxy A54 (plus the Nothing Phone 1 if it’s available where you live).

Xiaomi:
