The Xiaomi 13 Pro offers a pro-grade flagship experience that will satisfy the needs of most users. It has a gorgeous 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a treat for content consumption. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is still powerful enough to handle any game, although it gets slightly warm during extended gaming sessions. The 50-megapixel triple camera setup with Leica lenses is one of the best you can get on a flagship and can rival any smartphone. The phone has also received Android 14 with HyperOS; however, it still comes with bloatware, which is disappointing. Furthermore, the phone will only receive three OS updates, less than any other flagship. The 5,000mAh battery can easily last a day, and the 120W charging can top it within less than 25 minutes. There is also 50W wireless charging support, which is excellent. Overall, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a well-rounded flagship that ticks every box on the specs sheet.

The markup on more expensive devices will always be higher than for mid-rangers, and the latter is what 'flagship killers' really are after all, despite how they're marketed. But so what? Even if a high-end phone delivers "only" 20% more 'whatever' than a flagship killer and is 40% more expensive, the high-end phone is still better. Not by exactly as much as you're paying on top, but it is, and in our online world obsessed with maximization of returns that can easily be overlooked. And that's the tale of the Xiaomi 13 Pro, and why we think most people might not give it a serious look. But if you do give it a chance, provided you're okay with its very few downsides that we've already described, we're sure you'll be as happy with it as we were, which is to say - very.

At first, I thought that Xiaomi 13 Pro stands out for its movable lenses and that it’s worth paying any money for such a fancy feature (and I know that many people like close-up photos). However, already in the process of writing this review, I realised that this phone has a number of unpleasant shortcomings on all sides. And although its characteristics are truly flagship, and it looks like a premium device, the reality is that in everyday use everything is not as smooth as we would like. On the plus side, the battery lasts a very long time. The top-of-the-line processor means that Xiaomi 13 Pro can run a lot of things, but on the other hand, the MIUI shell and the unoptimised system, which is cluttered with ads and unnecessary services, means that the smartphone slows down and is not able to perform at the level offered by the latest Snapdragon.

Don't let the understated exterior fool you: the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a true flagship camera phone contender. With a fantastic Leica-engineered camera, the Xiaomi 13 Pro takes the fight to the Samsung Galaxy S23 and iPhone 14, and with a more sophisticated finish and user experience than before, along with a big, sharp screen and great sound, there's no reason why you shouldn't go for the Xiaomi over its more famous rivals.

When you think of premium smartphones that perform exactly how you expect premium smartphones to perform the Xiaomi brand probably won't be on your list but after reviewing the Xiaomi 13 Pro, they should be. The Xiaomi 13 Pro captures excellent images when using the auto mode and if you have the patience to learn how the advanced photo mode works, results can be even better (you can shoot RAW images, too). Yes, the zoom could be better but you can move your feet instead. It also looks great with its ceramic finish and the screen is ace. It feels a bit on the heavy side but some will say the weight adds to the overall premium, well-built feel of the phone. Cost isn't inexpensive either but you do get a lot of bang for your buck. Overall, it's a smartphone we are happy to 'Highly Recommend' and it's certainly worth a look if you don't want to pay Apple and Samsung prices.

There’s an awful lot to like about the Xiaomi 13 Pro if your main concern is the quality of the on-board cameras. While it doesn’t quite steal the crown from the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, it’s an extremely capable smartphone which produces excellent results in a wide variety of different shooting scenarios. It’s packed with a good range of features, and having three 50MP sensors, including a one-inch main one, puts it ahead of most rivals – while the collaboration with Leica seems to have paid off well too. Landscape scene with AI switched on, blues have been heavily boosted. Landscape scene with AI switched on, blues have been heavily boosted. A relatively high price point for a device from a company that doesn’t have the household name status of other manufacturers like Apple and Samsung may put off some buyers, but if photographers are willing to look past that then they can pick up a very good flagship and make a saving. Let’s also not forget that you get a high-speed charger in the box, making it even more valuable. Since the 13 Pro was released, Xiaomi has also announced the Xiaomi 13 Ultra – which promises to be the ultimate smartphone for photographers, hopefully review units will be available soon and we’ll be able to find out if that’s true.

Xiaomi is known for giving out some of the best affordable phones, not for making high-end phones. So, for the first time, Xiaomi has gone above and beyond and has done everything it could to take on the biggies and make a dent. Xiaomi 13 Pro does feel like a proper flagship, but it still is not perfect. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a well-made phone. It feels premium, looks premium, the hardware is fantastic, as it should have been, and the set of Leica cameras is probably one of the best, if not the best. What annoys us is the software experience, which you can not overlook in a phone costing quite a lot of money. Still, if you are okay with MIUI, Xiaomi 13 Pro is the phone for you. And if you can compromise, for Rs 79,999, you get high-end hardware and a great set of cameras that work like a charm every time you take it. However, if cameras are not your top-most priority, you can also look at a few options like the Pixel 7, OnePlus 11, iQoo 11, and Vivo X90, which will not burn this big a hole in your pocket and will still get you the same performance and set of good enough cameras.

With the photos taken above, we think the Xiaomi 13 Pro is currently one of the best Android camera phones for the Malaysian market. Other flagships may have better designs or performance, but the Xiaomi 13 Pro's photography aspect gives it a major win. If you prioritise photo quality, this is the phone for you. The Xiaomi 13 Pro comes at a starting price of RM4599, which is very expensive. But it's worth it if you want a top-tier camera phone. For alternatives, there's also the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (RM5699). It's a pricier flagship, but lets you write notes with the S Pen. You can also consider the more affordable OnePlus 11 5G (RM3299) that has similar specs using Hasselblad technology. The choice is yours.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro mostly delivers in areas where you expect it to for a flagship-grade handset. However, it does have its fair share of flaws – even if none are severe enough to be game-breaking. MIUI continues to have its quirks, the camera app is messy, and its slow camera shutter can cause users to miss moments. Fortunately, these are issues that can be easily solved via software updates. That said, for S$1,599, we'd expect the phone to come in a more polished state. Furthermore, consider also how most other S$1,500+ phones have a combination of services, a robust smart device ecosystem, or on-chip security to justify their asking prices. In its current form, there's a slight suspicion that Xiaomi wants to ride on Leica's coattails to drive up the Xiaomi 13 Pro's asking price. That won't help non-Xiaomi users switch to this phone, especially when the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the current premium alternative that starts from just S$230 more than what Xiaomi is asking for. Does that mean we don't like Xiaomi 13 Pro? No, quite the opposite. Overall, this is a rather handsome phone with a nice large display, top-tier performance, and a decent camera system. Though we are not 100% sold on the Leica partnership, there's no denying that it makes for a fun photo-taking experience, and the end results are often very pleasing.

It's clear that Xiaomi learned its lessons, and the Xiaomi 13 Pro finally feels like a proper flagship that's worth its price. Xiaomi's refusal to add standard features like IP68 and long-term software support have long made it hard for me to recommend its flagship phones, but that's different this year. If you want an excellent phone that can rival the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Google Pixel 7 Pro with a sensor that enables whole new options for mobile photography, this is the phone to pick. On top of that, you'll also get a long-lasting, fast-charging battery. You might think that €1,300 or roughly $1,400 is expensive for a Xiaomi phone, but with this handset, the company proves that it's ready to play in the big league, leaving behind its usual mid-range phones in the dust, and offering nearly no more compromises than the Galaxy S23 Ultra or the Pixel 7 Pro — save only for the quite jarring software bugs related to the battery saver that I've run into, and which Xiaomi absolutely needs to fix.

Ok, I think I have discussed everything about this phone by now! And I really like what Xiaomi has done here! It is easily the most improved flagship of 2023 and the best thing is that it’s priced quite aggressively in South Asian markets like Nepal and India. However, if budget is not a constraint, then Galaxy S23+ is a better overall phone as it comes with a better design, and you get a better software experience, a better front camera, and better videos too! But overall, I am happy to see Xiaomi making a good flagship phone, FINALLY! And hopefully, they keep on improving it with software updates. Given its top-quality hardware, the cameras can definitely get better, thermals could improve, and MIUI can get better as well. Xiaomi 13 Pro is easily the most improved flagship of 2023. It comes with an excellent set of Leica-optimised cameras, a flagship-grade AMOLED display, and top-tier performance. It does have a few shortcomings here and there, but the Xiaomi 13 Pro is still an excellent flagship phone!

The Xiaomi 13 Pro continues the promising work from 2022’s Xiaomi 12 Pro, addressing our main criticisms and improving in key areas. Silly faults like the lack an IP68 rating, a limited telephoto camera, and a relatively tiny battery have all been corrected. Meanwhile, the 13 Pro’s Leica-branded 1-inch main camera is a big step forward, especially in lesser lighting conditions. Performance is strong and battery life is far more respectable than before, even if it’s not among the very best of the early 2023 crowd. It helps that Xiaomi’s charging provision – 120W wired, 50W wireless – is so strong, too. All of which makes it more of a shame that Xiaomi has taken a backward step with the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s bland, unwieldy design. Especially when, in the Xiaomi 13, it already had a natural way forward for the range. MIUI 14, meanwhile, continues to be a less than ideal interface with too much bloatware. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is another excellent flagship phone from the brand. With a more focused design and a proper software overhaul, it would be in contention for the big awards come the end of 2023. Even as things stand, it’s more than capable of keeping the Samsungs and Apples of this world honest.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is quite a Leica-ble phone (pun intended). While it features top-of-the-line hardware, it is the little details that help enhance the overall user experience. Be it the shutter sound, number of useful camera filters, or the bunch of software features in the Gallery app. The camera system is also quite versatile and offers a variety of focal lengths to capture moments with unique perspectives for the shutter bug in you. Xiaomi's flagship phone is also well tuned. With refinements to MIUI, coupled with a powerful performance unit, the Xiaomi 13 Pro offers a great combination of hardware and software. It also provides good battery life and the 120W fast charging adds to the experience. While there is no official IP68 rating in India, the phone is claimed to offer the same level of water and dust protection as its global counterpart. I still wish that the software support, in terms of Android updates, was a year more just like Samsung's and OnePlus' flagships. The OnePlus 11 5G is more affordable compared to the Xiaomi 13 Pro and has its own Hasselblad touch for the cameras, while matching the Xiaomi 13 Pro's performance unit. However, with the number of useful camera features, I find the Xiaomi 13 Pro's setup a bit more fun to use. You also get wireless charging, reverse wireless charging and a ceramic back panel. The closest rival to the Xiaomi 13 Pro would be the upcoming Vivo X90 Pro. It packs the same 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor and comes with Zeiss' tuning for the cameras. For now, if you are someone who wants a reliable camera system in a flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Pro can certainly be considered.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro battery performance ranked in the top half of our database. The autonomy was average with slightly more than 2.5 days when used moderately. The autonomy during our typical usage scenario was just below average, with a huge battery power consumption during night (4% lost) when the device is supposed to do nothing. But when testing outdoors and in calibrated mode, the autonomy performances were quite good and above average for most use cases, except when streaming music. The main advantage of the Xiaomi 13 Pro was its charging experience. The 120W wired charger replenished the battery in only 31 minutes, and a 5-minute quick charge provided an excellent 9 hours and 51 minutes of autonomy on average. The wireless 50W charger refilled the battery in slightly more than 1 hour, which was among the best wireless times we have measured. Both wired and wireless charge efficiencies were good. The residual consumption of the wired charger when the device was fully charged and still plugged in was low, but it was high for wireless stand. The discharge currents were good when streaming videos, gaming and using the device outdoors, but only slightly above average for the other use cases, meaning that the device is not perfectly optimized. Compared with devices from the Ultra-Premium range prices ($800+), the Xiaomi 13 Pro ranked among the best devices, just above the Xiaomi 12T Pro. The autonomy was above average, and the efficiency was very good. The charging experience was excellent, placing it in first place in this segment for this sub-score.

Xiaomi's latest Pro model is a fine device, combining fantastic performance with an exceptional camera, great battery life and a stunning display. In fact, we liked all of it so much we were happy to put up with our frustrations with the software in order to take advantage of its capabilities. The price point isn't exactly cheap, and that's certainly something to consider with the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Our initial knee-jerk response was that it's too expensive, but when you look at the feature set, the hardware and the performance it offers, and realise it's going up against the Galaxy S23 Ultras and iPhone 14 Pro Max's of the world, you get a bit of a different perspective. Compared to Samsung and Apple's top dollar phones, it's not terribly priced at all. For some, the MIUI hurdle will be too great, but if you're happy to sit and tame the phone, you're left with something of a diamond from Xiaomi which exceeded our expectations from the brand, and that sets the tone going forward. It's a truly wonderful device and one that delivers in buckets.

Priced at Rs 79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB on-board storage, the Xiaomi 13 Pro offers a novel imaging experience on top of a premium package. The smartphone makes everyday photography easy and fun. It opens new fronts in smartphone imaging for both amateurs and professionals to explore and experiment with. The camera-focused utilities make it what it is without casting a shadow on other parameters – design, display, performance, and battery life – where the phone shines as bright.

Xiaomi 13 Pro is the first Leica-branded camera smartphone from Xiaomi in India brings the company’s newly-established camera chops to our shores, along with the high-level performance that you’d expect from a flagship Android. This is also one of the first smartphones to come with a 1-inch type camera sensor, and the images are a great reflection of how that makes a difference.

In our DXOMARK Audio tests, the Xiaomi 13 Pro did well, performing reliably across all playback and recording use cases. It offered a pleasant listening experience via the built-in speakers, making it an excellent option for music consumption and gaming, as well as movie watching. This said, limited wideness of the projected sound scene meant the stereo experience was not as immersive as with some of its rivals. Good to great performances across pretty much all test attributes make the Xiaomi a great pick for sound recording, but potential users should keep in mind that, due to compression and distortion, it’s not very suitable for recording at high sound pressure levels, for example, concerts and other loud events. Wind noise could also be an issue, but other than that, the Xiaomi 13 Pro audio recordings offered great quality.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro’s flicker-free display provided an overall satisfying experience and finds itself in the upper portion of our database, with a very strong showing in color. Brightness adaptation was good in most conditions except indoors, where brightness was lower than its competitors. Screen readability diminished when the device was used under sunlight as details were lost, especially in dark areas. In addition, our engineers were eager to put Xiaomi 13 Pro’s advertised 1900 nit peak brightness to the test, but their measurements reached 1670 nits of peak brightness. Both contrast and colors were well-managed on the device, particularly when watching HDR10 video content. But brightness adaptation to HDR10 content was low, compared with the adaptation of other devices, which feature 10 nits to 15 nits of more brightness. Xiaomi 13 Pro users might need to calibrate the brightness to get a more satisfying HDR10 rendering. In other areas, the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s brightness and contrast levels were little changed from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 12 Pro. When it comes to the video game experience, the device showed no frame mismatches, but ghost touches were frequent.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro takes what made the 12 Pro so great and makes it even better. But that doesn’t mean you should buy one. Performance from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is absolutely fantastic, with its improved power efficiency and a larger battery delivering significant battery life improvements. New Leica cameras are close to the best you’ll find on any phone, with great results across all four lenses. But a huge new camera bump interrupts an otherwise sleek design, while the software experience remains a major source of frustration. At this flagship price point, those shortcomings are hard to ignore. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a great phone, but it’s not best-in-class.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is an expensive phone, but it’s really one of the first from the brand that I can wholeheartedly recommend to buy, with only a few small advisories. The camera is the standout feature. It’s really superb, and even a few weeks into using it, I still want to experiment with it more. I consider that a very good sign. It has a long-lasting battery, the latest processor for plenty of performance, and a big, high-res screen. It’s the software that’s the question mark for me. It’s a more user-friendly, less frustrating, more fluid and logical experience on the Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Google Pixel 7 Pro, and the update commitment is longer on the Galaxy too. The OnePlus 11 is in-between, providing a similar user experience, but a longer commitment. In a way, the good thing is whichever you choose from these three, you’ll get a brilliant smartphone that will last for three years at the minimum — and it’s exciting as the Xiaomi 13 Pro competes with the best phones available.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a top-level flagship with specs and features to match, including a gorgeous 6.78-inch display with a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate, a stylish (if not a bit fingerprint-y) design, rapid performance from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and lightning-fast 120W charging. But, of course, it’s the cameras that are the main attraction. The 50MP main makes use of the large 1-inch sensor in different ways to Vivo, and while that means it’s not quite as capable in very dark conditions, general low-light photography is much faster to capture. Plus, the 50MP telephoto lens captures stunning portrait and macro photography, and the 50MP ultra-wide, while not quite as capable, still generates great shots. The only real hurdle for many will be Xiaomi’s implementation of Android 13 with its MIUI 14 skin. It’s very different from most other Android skins and requires a bit of a learning curve, especially with elements like the split notification shade and quick setting panel, and the fact it comes pre-installed with a bunch of apps is frustrating. That all said, once you get over the various quirks, it’s not as bad as it once was.

What’s in a name, one might ask. Quite a lot, Xiaomi knows. And that’s why it has teamed up with Leica, one of the most iconic camera brands in the world, for its latest Xiaomi 13 Pro. Centred around the camera system co-engineered with Leica, Xiaomi hopes the Leica tag on its new flagship will be enough to justify the Rs 79,999 price point, one of the highest ever for a Xiaomi phone. But is that enough? Here’s my review after using the device for nearly two weeks.

If you're not convinced about the price, Xiaomi is offering bank offers on the Xiaomi 13 Pro for a limited period. Otherwise, if you want a more affordable, reliable smartphone with the same chipset, the new OnePlus 11 5G remains a flagship killer with a praiseworthy camera system. Xiaomi really has upped its camera game over the years and the 13 Pro is at the pinnacle of its optical prowess. The phone’s wide array of shooting modes, features and camera tricks will be a joy for consumers looking to experiment with their photography. I do feel that the selfie camera on the device is not the best. There’s also a fair bit of heating on the back panel when the smartphone is pushed in terms of its processing chops. However, that does not dampen the 13 Pro’s experience one bit, whether it’s heavy-duty gaming or watching Dolby Vision content on Netflix. The device really does outclass comparative smartphones in its price range and I can fully recommend the Xiaomi 13 Pro as your go-to flagship choice.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is, without a doubt, a true flagship. It’s a great smartphone in many ways, though it’s not perfect. The camera performance still needs tweaking on the software side of things, while MIUI 14 will need another update or two to squash a couple of bugs. Other than that, this phone is outstanding. The display is bright, vivid, and quite responsive. The design is great, the phone not only looks premium, but it feels great in the hand. After a week with the Xiaomi 13 Pro I'm totally sold. Its camera system is so adept that it's arguably the best you'll find in any Android phone right now. And with stacks of power and super-fast charging, it'll give the Samsung Galaxy S23 series a run for its money. Sure, there are software foibles to suffer and the ceramic finish loves fingerprint smears, but overall I can forgive those because the Leica cameras collab is seemingly Xiaomi's secret weapon to five-star success.

You should if you are looking for an alternative to premium flagships like the Galaxy S23+. The Xiaomi 13 Pro shines with its triple 50-megapixel camera setup–with one of them using a 1-inch sensor. It’s meant to be a camera beast, especially with that partnership with Leica, but with its starting price of 1299 Euros for the 12GB/256GB model, that translates to the Xiaomi 13 Pro to being priced at around Php 75k. The pricing may be lower in Asian countries like the Philippines, so there’s a possibility that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have a much more competitive price–and a juicy pre-order promo–once it becomes official locally soon.

I like this phone more than I liked any Xiaomi phone that came out in the past couple of years. Its design may not be the most exciting, but it's pretty sleek nevertheless (be sure to check out both colors to see which one you fancy), with a gorgeous display and a fancy ceramic back. It matches Samsung's recently released Galaxy S23 Plus on power and features, and has a very capable camera system. It charges extremely fast, and its battery lasts up to two days. At writing time, I had no info on a crucial piece of the puzzle: pricing. Feature-wise, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a mix between the Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which start at US$999.99 and US$1,199.99, respectively. If the Xiaomi 13 Pro is reasonably priced (for example, the Xiaomi 12 Pro started at US$999), it will be a very strong competitor to any Android flagship out there.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a complete package. It has impressive performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, great battery life, and a highly capable camera system. If you are a gamer then you will be quite satisfied with the performance of this phone. The camera is versatile and can get you some great shots, just remember portrait mode is a bit tricky. The device is a bit large, heavy, and bulky though. In addition, Xiaomi's MIUI 14 software implementation is serviceable but not as smooth as what is found in Samsung's One UI or Google Pixel software — both of which are also based on Android. I also wish that you could remove Xiamoi's first-party applications.Overall the Xiaomi 13 Pro offers performance that can easily take on the best devices available on the market today. The display and ceramic back are beautiful and add to the overall greatness of this phone. This device is available for purchase in China for approximately ¥5399 (converted directly, this would run about $776 as of late February 2023) and will be made available to international markets soon.

In isolation, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is an absolute gem of a phone. It’s supremely powerful, has an absolutely gorgeous display, and takes incredible, bokeh-filled photos in almost all conditions. Battery life is on a par with other flagships, but charging speeds are on another level. Xiaomi has also addressed criticisms levied at the previous-gen model, adding an IP rating and adding more magnification to to the telephoto camera. Performance isn’t hampered by a hot-running CPU any more, either. The software experience could perhaps be a little slicker, but that’s a minor grumble considering how much it undercuts heavy-hitting rivals like the Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro. Anyone that’s serious about photography should absolutely have it on their shortlist. A brilliantly capable flagship phone with outstanding photographic ability. One of the highlights of the year so far.

Remember last year Xiaomi launched the 12S Ultra and everyone got excited ... only to find out the phone was for the China market only? Well now the Xiaomi 13 Pro is here for the global market and it brings back all of what made the 12S Ultra great -- that 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor -- plus a new "floating" telephoto lens that sees minimum focus distance shift depending on need. This macro capability plus OIS and Leica color tuning make the new telephoto lens a very fun to play with portrait lens that has inspired me to snap street photography all over.

Unboxing the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, two 2023 global smartphones boasting dependable camera setups, impressive gaming grunt and solid battery tech. My review of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is coming imminently but here's a tour of the features and what's been upgraded vs the regular model. Like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, that premium version offers a curvy design, improved camera hardware and several other updates. The Xiaomi 13 Pro serves up the same Sony IMX989 sensor as Vivo's X90 Pro, for some of the best night shots of any 2023 smartphone. In comparison, the Xiaomi 13 phone offers an IMX800 camera sensor that's still impressive in low light, but not quite as incredible. Both Xiaomi phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, so gaming on Genshin Impact and other demanding Android titles is a smooth, satisfying experience. The Xiaomi 13 Pro doesn't heat up as much as the regular model, but neither struggled even after an hour or more of gaming. Battery life is also excellent on both phones, although that Pro once again has the advantage of faster 120W vs 67W charging. So are you tempted more by the Xiaomi 13 or the 13 Pro? Let us know below, reviews coming soon!

Reviewing the Xiaomi 13 Pro, a flagship MiUI 14 smartphone boasting some of the best mobile camera tech of 2023, plus premium specs and excellent gaming performance. I've been testing the Xiaomi 13 Pro as my full-time phone and check out my unboxing, comparing vs the regular Xiaomi 13. If I had to choose this or the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, I'd honestly be struggling. While the Sammy offers an S Pen Stylus, both smartphone cameras deliver impressive night photography and the Xiaomi 13 Pro matches it for 8K video capture (just not at 30FPS). Gamers will love the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset packed in here, with a better gaming mode vs the S23 Ultra. The Xiaomi 13 Pro also upgrades the AMOLED display of the regular phone to an LTPO panel, while you have faster charging support at 120W. Wireless charging is also supported and the battery life so far has been sublime, again a match for the Samsung. I'm hoping to review the regular Xiaomi 13 soon, and you can see my verdict on the Galaxy S23 Ultra right here on Tech Spurt. So which is your favourite phone of 2023 so far?

You won't feel short-changed with the Xiaomi 13 Pro's hardware. Three 50MP rear cameras is more than enough for anyone, as is the speedy 120W included charger and the Galaxy S23-beating battery life. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is shaping up to be just like its predecessors, offering great performance, a brilliant display and a strong camera system. We'll let you know if it delivers in our full review.

We already knew that the Xiaomi 13 Pro had a lot to offer – having launched in China late last year. Now that it's gone global, the new Pro looks primed to surpasses expectations, with impressive hardware and design, and a heap of technology. It's the first international example of Xiaomi's recent partnership with imaging specialists Leica, paired with a massive 1-inch main camera sensor. Oh, and don't forget about the Snapdragon chipset, brilliant display, fast charging battery, and so much more.

What we will also be testing is how the phone performs during routine tasks and while gaming. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is currently the most powerful SoC for Android smartphones. The phone also packs a 4,820mAh battery with support for 120W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Our unit had 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of software, Xiaomi has launched the 13 Pro with the latest MIUI 14 which is based on Android 13. The new MIUI skin is claimed to have received many enhancements under the hood, which should help offer a smoother user experience. Xiaomi has also promised to provide three years of software updates and five years of security support.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is not a perfect smartphone. First - there is no grip. It is impossible to use the 13 Pro without a case, as you would probably drop it in the first few hours. And then there is the dated selfie camera that's unworthy of a flagship, let alone a cameraphone. We hope this is the last time we see this 32MP Quad-Bayer camera, but somehow, we doubt that, unfortunately. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is one of the easiest recommendations we've ever given despite its horrible grip experience (beauty has its price, obviously, but please, buy yourself a premium case). It delivers on every promise and every important aspect, and it is one of the most beautiful, powerful, and skillful devices we've used. It is jam-packed with cutting-edge smartphone and imaging technology, and it's worth every penny.

For all intents and purposes, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a great phone — packing a gorgeous screen, stellar camera system, beasty battery life, and lightning quick internals. But this classic curved sandwich design of glass and metal is beginning to feel really dated now. Alongside the sleek, utilitarian stylings of the Xiaomi 13, the difference is night and day. And MIUI 14 continues the problematic trend of bloatware. Plus, for all the love I have for that 1-inch sensor, the difference in photo quality between this and the standard 13 is not too noticeable. The Pro is great, but I know which of Xiaomi’s new flagships I would buy.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has it all: a gorgeous design with a ceramic finish, sublime AMOLED screen, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, all-day battery life with ultra-fast 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and IP68 dust and water resistance. While you'll find most of these features in other phones, where the 13 Pro comes into its own is the cameras; by partnering with Leica, Xiaomi has delivered one of the best camera packages you'll find on a phone today.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is an excellent high-end smartphone. But it's still a bit below the Galaxy S23 Ultra, in my opinion. The camera module lacks a bit of versatility. The design is a bit has-been (but very neat). And the software experience suffers from a lot of bloatware. But apart from that, this smartphone has plenty of qualities. The 120Hz QHD+ OLED display is very well calibrated for multimedia content. The triple camera module isn't the best on the market, but the daytime rendering with the 50.3 MP main lens and its 1-inch sensor is very convincing, and the Leica Authentic mode gives a real flair to shots taken with the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The Xiaomi 13 Pro benefits from a better update policy, gradually approaching that of Samsung. The battery life is very solid and Xiaomi remains the best performing high-end manufacturer on fast charging right now, especially compared to Apple or Samsung who are clearly lagging. I find the price a bit exorbitant, but prices are going up, that's just the way it is, and it doesn't seem to bother the fan people.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone got various interesting perks that make the overall usage amazing whether we talk about the new generation Snapdragon processor or the flagship-level camera setup. Everything about this phone is impeccable, and because of the additional features, the phone becomes one of the best options that you should check out right away. Although, currently, there aren’t many alternative options in the smartphone market since not many brands have released the new Snapdragon chipset. Around the beginning of 2023, the phone will get some worthy opponents. But for now, if you are interested in the flagship performance, we would recommend checking out the Vivo iQOO 10 Pro as a decent alternative option.

This is also due to the ultra-luxury 3400mm2 VC heat dissipation equipped by Xiaomi, which allows the upper and lower parts of the fuselage to be heated more evenly, and can effectively dissipate heat, making it easy to play games for a long time. Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro has excellent fast charging and battery life. The 120W surging fast charging can be fully charged in less than half an hour. The 4820mAh large battery provides 9 hours of battery life, allowing users to say goodbye to battery life anxiety. It can be said that among the flagship video phones, the Xiaomi digital series has achieved “overtaking” with its imaging capabilities, which has improved its competitiveness. I believe that when the public mentions camera phones in the future, they will think of Xiaomi as soon as possible.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a fantastic flagship phone which carries a premium price tag as well. It looks simple but packs the best of the best. The performance is simply great. It can handle even the heaviest games with ease. The display is beautiful and one of the finest in the market. I was really impressed with the main camera. It took me by surprise how well Xiaomi has optimised its camera department. You also get full-day battery backup with super fast charging speed. Lastly, the MIUI is packed with features and providing Android 13 is a big thumbs up. Overall, Xiaomi 13 Pro has everything to be called as an all-rounder flagship phone. It sure comes at a hefty price tag, but you do get what you pay for.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro shapes up to be one of the most exciting and impressive flagship phones of 2023. Xiaomi has arguably the most advanced camera sensor on the market and it is not afraid to use it, it has improved the telephoto camera, and overall photos look poised to beat images from the Galaxy Ultra and iPhone Pro series. If Xiaomi prices this reasonably, it will finally give us a worthy alternative to the usual trifecta of Apple, Google and Samsung.

Commentaire
Qualcomm Adreno 740:
