With a starting price of Rs 16,990 for the 6GB+ 64GB version and Rs 18,990 got the 6GB+ 128GB version, Vivo has introduced one of the best-performing smartphones in the mid-range category. The 48-megapixel camera ad 4500mAh battery are the key highlights of the phone. There are a few misses, too, but the overall piece leaves little to complain about in the price range. The phone faces a stiff competition from Realme XT in terms of camera and price, but the Vivo Z1x clearly has its own charm.

The Vivo Z1x is a first-rate effort that brings enough to the table to be a great option for anyone buying a mid-range smartphone. It might not be the best phone in the segment, but the quality construction, focus on design, and reasonably decent performance mean that you can't go wrong with it.

For the price, the Vivo Z1x comes at it’s an all-rounder. You get a Super AMOLED Display, triple camera setup, and exceptional performance thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 octa-core processor inside the smartphone. This one gives tough competition to the realme and Xiaomi devices available in the market. We tried to find out flaws but we failed to find any, as the smartphone didn’t disappoint us. So, in the end, all we can say is that this smartphone is definitely worth your money.

At the starting price of Rs 16,990, Vivo Z1x seems to be an all-rounder. The display is reasonably good, battery performance of the phone is at par compared to other smartphones in this price segment. The smartphone also gets a thumbs up from us in the performance section for its overall smooth performance and resource management. Camera duties are also handled well with the right level of detail and sharpness. Though there are a few rough edges like AI tends to make images look artificial sometimes or the camera UI is a little confusing, but they are issues which might not sway the buyers’ decision.

A mid-range smartphone is expected to perform great, take nice pictures, and have a good battery backup. Vivo Z1X gets all of it right and in addition offers a nice display, an attractive design, nice gaming performance, and a fast in-display fingerprint sensor as well as face-unlock feature. The phone only struggles a bit with picture quality and the speaker could have been better. For Rs 16,990, Vivo Z1X is a phone you can consider.

The Vivo Z1x boasts of an eye-catching design that is unapologetically flashy, but might appeal to some buyers. The build quality is solid, but this phone is on the larger side. Its AMOLED display is impressive and a notable upgrade over the Vivo Z1 Pro (Review).

The Vivo Z1X is a refined product then the Vivo Z1 Pro as it now comes with a better RAM option, improved cameras and lighter design. The performance of the phone is zippy and you do not feel any lag. The company has added a crisp display, which makes it an enjoyable experience while streaming videos or playing games. The daylight camera performance is quite decent in our opinion, though the low-light section needs improvements. The user interface has some interesting features to offer, but it is marred with bloatware and cluttered UI. The battery backup along with the fast charging support is welcome and so is the addition of the in-display fingerprint sensor. However, we have seen better-designed smartphones like the Realme X and Oppo K3, which offers premium design and a pop-up selfie camera. So, if you are considering to buy this smartphone, it is always better to look at the competition.

Overall, the Vivo Z1X looks decent, brings big and bright sMOLED screen, offers smooth or lag-free performance, delivers long-lasting battery life, and clicks great detailed pictures in all lighting conditions. However, I hope Vivo opts for glass body for its next Z-series phone and drops plastic, as well as works on making FunTouch OS slightly cleaner for better user experience. You can't get everything, I know. But when a phone is as good as the Vivo Z1X you do wish that what if it would have been just a wee bit better. That would have made it perfect from almost perfect that it is right now.

Commentaire
Qualcomm Adreno 616:
