Overall, the vivo Y100 does have its strengths and weaknesses. With a starting price of PHP 12,499 for the 8G+128GB variant, it is an affordable smartphone for someone that places heavy value on a stylish smartphone with a beautiful display, nice audio, and a long battery life. The only downside to the Y100 is that the performance can be a bit lacking if you want to play games. Not to mention you don’t have 5G connectivity to work with and a lackluster camera. Considering how competitive the segment of the vivo Y100, it might have a hard time attracting some buyers given the other choices out there. But for those who don’t need the performance, then you should be fine with this phone.

The vivo Y100 5G makes for a surprisingly appealing midrange phone that possesses features that are typically the province of flagship phones. You not only get a premium 120Hz AMOLED display but stereo speakers, a large battery with 80W fast charging as well as fair performance for a phone in its price point, all shoehorned into an elegantly hewn Purple Leather chassis. At launch, vivo are tossing in RM298 worth of free gifts that include a free pair of vivo selection wireless earbuds as well as a vivo Care 1+1 Extended warranty plan which further add to its value though this is only ongoing until 28th March 2024. If you’re looking for a stylish budget phone, the vivo Y100 5G ought to be at the top of your shopping list. The vivo Y100 5G is an entry-level dark horse, blending an exceptionally premium design especially in the Purple Leather variant while incorporating impressive features that include a 120Hz AMOLED display, stereo speakers and 80W fast charging along with solid performance for a modest price.

The Vivo Y100 was released in February 2023 and the phone attained a rough price figure of $305 (Rs 24,999 in India) approx. As for the display, you will get a 6.38 inches AMOLED panel that renders an impressive 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1300 nits brightness, and a decent pixel density setup. The screen is also protected by dust and water resistance. Following this, you will also receive a 16MP selfie camera lens, while on the other hand, the back panel offers a triple camera module. It includes a 64MP primary lens, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth lens. As for video recording, you can record 4K videos with the main camera setup. The software layering of the latest Android 13 with the Funtouch 13 interface brings good custom features. Moreover, the phone features a Li-Po 4500 mAh battery and 44W fast charging support. The Vivo Y100 catches the attention with its colour changing glass back and premium build quality. On top of that, you get a good 64MP main camera and 16MP front camera to take good photos. The performance of the phone is pretty solid as well. I did not experience any lags during my time with the device. The phone runs on the latest Android 13 version which is really good to see. And lastly, the beautiful AMOLED display offers a smooth and vibrant multimedia experience. On the other hand, the battery backup could have been better if there was a 5000mAh battery. But maybe Vivo decided to pack a less capacity battery to keep its weight low. All in all, the Vivo Y100 is a nice mid-range 5G phone for those who want an attractive design and a good camera.

The vivo Y100 is a great performer more in terms of performance and cameras. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 offers seamless performance and the 64 MP OIS camera captures stunning shots in the daylight. Furthermore, the 90 Hz AMOLED display, 44W fast charging, and FunTouchOS 13 perks add to the overall features. The vivo Y100 is overall a good value-for-money smartphone with an impressive display, camera, and performance. For users who are looking for a smartphone under ₹25,000 budget, the vivo Y100 is recommended.

Commentaire
ARM Mali-G68 MP4:
