I honestly haven’t been this excited about a smartphone in a long time. This is the case when there are so many features that you don’t want to use them, but you do. You get used to it, and it’s very, very hard to give it up. Unlike Oppo, the software shortcomings are being treated. Unlike Xiaomi, the hardware advantages work. Unlike OnePlus, the cooperation with Zeiss is really useful. And unlike Samsung, the smartphone offers more than an iPhone user wants. Actually, I’m completely surprised by HOW much I want the Vivo X80 Pro Plus on Android 13 now. Because maybe there is still a smartphone that I can describe as 10/9. And even if it’s not the Vivo X70 Pro Plus, but the Vivo X70 Pro Plus turned out to be the closest to it among all the models I’ve picked up over the past year. Perhaps there is still a smartphone that I can describe as 10/9. And even if it's not the Vivo X70 Pro Plus, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus is the closest to this among all the models I've picked up over the past year.

Vivo’s flagship is the first smartphone whose cameras I can truly call exciting. Since Huawei P30 Pro, I haven’t used anything more interesting and deep in terms of both hardware and software features. Yes, there is something to change in the cameras, and some places are just out of the blue. But such places are negligible compared to my previous favorites. So yes, the cameras in Vivo X70 Pro Plus are really that good. The cameras of the Vivo X70 Pro+ smartphone offer a lot of possibilities and clearly show how useful both hardware cooperation with a renowned manufacturer and a smart approach to the software side of things are. However, there is still game, although it was again completely unnecessary.

The Vivo X70 Pro+ was at its best as a recording device, turning in top scores in the dynamics and volume attributes, and in general showing itself to be deft and useful in many different situations. For those planning on using their smartphone as an audio playback device, the X70 Pro+ is functional but only exceptional in terms of artifacts, an attribute in which it had among the top scores among the devices we’ve tested.

The Vivo X70 Pro+ arrived on the market in September 2021, coming with many features befitting a flagship device. In this review, we take a look at how well its display performed in our comprehensive array of tests. The Vivo X70 Pro+ achieved an overall score of 91, placing it firmly in the upper half of our database of devices tested thus far. It provides excellent color fidelity in every lighting condition and is well suited for watching videos. The Vivo X70 Pro+ provides users with a very pleasant video experience. Its color fidelity is extremely good — among the very best in our database, and it has a very smooth feel as well.

The Vivo X70 Pro+ is, unlike its predecessor, a tale of two halves: there's the undeniable positives of a super camera setup with gimbal stabilisation; but the unexpected negatives of software that presents far too many bugs, plus the overall poor battery life. We've been using this handset for many weeks, though, because despite its software quibbles we've found it's been worth sticking with for the sake of its considerable onboard power and those highly-capable cameras. In some areas the X70 Pro+ is an untouchable handset, showing that Vivo can continue to stand out - just, this time around, not in all the right ways.

The X70 Pro+ is a fantastic piece of hardware. You’ll get top performance, fast charging, and a beautiful display – not to mention one of the absolute best cameras in any phone right now, and I really do mean that. There are downsides. This is the first Vivo flagship phone in a few years that I haven’t loved the look of, with some misguided design choices that I hope the company will walk back in the next generation. Its software struggles continue too, with an awkward UI and bloatware that get in the way of a premium experience elsewhere. Vivo is this close to making the best flagship phones out there, and its operating system is the last piece of the puzzle. As it stands, that subpar software may be a dealbreaker some – and I wouldn’t blame you if it were – but the hardware here couldn’t be much better.

vivo managed to make quite an entrance a few years ago and has already managed to win the hearts of its fans. The company has done well with entry-level smartphones of the Y-series and the middle range, but it lacked devices of the premium segment. And that’s why the vivo X70 Pro+ is an important smartphone for the brand in 2021. There is no doubt that vivo has made every effort to make the X70 Pro+ the perfect device that can compete with the best flagships of this year. By buying volvo X70 Pro+, you get a premium smartphone with the best processor under the hood and a smart camera system that bypasses cameras offered by other manufacturers. To top it all off, vivo has added IP68 water and dust protection to its flagship, as well as a 2K display. If you prefer smartphones with a large screen, then the X70 Pro+ will be perfect for you. vivo X70 Pro+ meets all the criteria of a good smartphone.

During my testing of the flagship smartphone model Vivo X70 Pro Plus, I had only positive emotions and impressions. I believe that most modern flagship devices will not be able to evoke as much positive emotions as a device from Vivo. One of the advantages is the fact that the X70 Pro Plus smartphone surprises itself with its tactile sensations. That is, the materials used are indeed very well chosen, as well as their assembly. Also, the device stands out for the presence of a bright and saturated screen with LTPO AMOLED technology, QHD + resolution, peak brightness at 1500 nits and 120 Hz refresh rate. In addition, the performance of the smartphone was very good and corresponded to its level. But the most important feature of a smartphone from Vivo is its camera and how well it captures photos and videos. Yes, maybe I will have questions about some sensors. But I think that all questions are of an optimized nature of problems and in the future it will be possible to fix these problems. As for the shortcomings, I did not identify them during my testing.

If you are looking for a premium Android phone beyond Samsung or OnePlus, I would say Vivo has come the closest in delivering an excellent experience, especially on the camera front. The overall performance of the device is top-notch, though the software could do with some finetuning. If you are looking for a premium device with an excellent camera, the Vivo X70 Pro+ delivers on that with ease.

Vivo X70 Pro+ costs Rs 79,990. It’s not an ordinary price. The price segment opens up the door for iPhone’s and Galaxy’s. A segment that has been owned by the two brands for a while now. It might not be that competitive space, but it's definitely the most settled smartphone space and it's hard to imagine someone entering that and shaking up things a bit and Vivo X70 Pro+ is that someone. Vivo has got the basics right with the X70 Pro+. Starting from the design, performance, display to the camera everything is well thought out. The Vivo X70 Pro+ has got that premium design, look and feel to make it homely in this price bracket. Then it has got the performance and cameras are just among the best in class. So should you buy it, shortlist it or discard it? Our pick will be to go ahead buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

Vivo X70 Pro+ checks all the boxes in terms of a good smartphone. Design language is excellent and unique, display is top notch, processor and memory are the best on the market, battery life is very good, and there is fast wired and wireless charging. The last main pillar of a great smartphone is the camera. The Vivo X70 Pro+ excels in this area as well. All four rear cameras produce excellent photos in a variety of different conditions. Night mode on the main camera is probably one of the best I have seen in recent times. With the previous flagship there was no IP rating or stereo speakers or wireless charging. Vivo was listening to all the complaints and the X70 Pro+ has an IP68 rating, has great stereo speakers, and 50W wireless charging. The retail price on the Vivo X70 Pro+ is around USD 1060 which is about $100 more than the X60 Pro+. I think that the price increase comes with a lot of good enhancements.

It hasn't been long since Vivo launched its X60 series (review) that placed the Chinese smartphone maker at a fine spot in the cluttered smartphone market in India. And Vivo did not take long to launch its X70 series, yet again in collaboration with lens major Zeiss. The X70 series is geared towards content creators as imaging remains a focus here, not just that, the new series also features Vivo’s V1 imaging chip, which the company claims took almost two years to develop. That said, Vivo’s X60 Pro and X60 Pro+ had already set the bar so high for rivals and now with a new iteration in the X series, it remains to be seen if Vivo lives up to the expectation. I took the X70 Pro+ for a spin—from photography to gaming, I put the phone to a stiff test to see what’s on offer. I’ll talk about everything this phone has to offer in this review:

We were huge fans of the X60 Pro+ for its unique blend of pocketability and camera prowess, so we're indeed bummed that its successor by name is now not quite so compact. But it's perhaps not fair to treat it as a successor - the X70 Pro+ is more than that. It builds on the all-out camera formula and adds all the stuff we complained was missing on the older model - water resistance, stereo speakers, wireless charging... even an IR blaster. We'd have to be crazy not to appreciate it. So the vivo X70 Pro+ is not rushed, but right on time, it's a brand-new model, not just a mere facelift, it slots above the previous Pro+, and it's just good enough to warrant the price increase - if you'll allow us to straight-up answer the questions we posed at the beginning of this review.

Vivo has certainly provided all the top-notch specifications with the X70 Pro+. With unique features such as gimbal camera stabilization and V1 chip, it has successfully got itself a space in the premium smartphone market. The phone has enough upgrades and features that if you’re on the previous X60 Pro+ you should definitely switch to this one. It is not perfect but sure comes close and with a whole lot of features there is very little room to complain about.

The Vivo X70 Pro+ is the best Vivo phone I’ve used yet. It’s well-made and durable, and it has a beautiful screen, a feature-packed camera, performance to spare, and, for the first time, software I can live with on a daily basis without getting annoyed or too frustrated. It’s not perfect, but FunTouchOS 12 now holds its own next to Oppo’s ColorOS and Realme’s RealmeOS. The gimbal camera remains unique and the stabilization works very well, adding real benefit to the phone. The other features sometimes border on the gimmicky, but the two optical zoom levels don’t, helping make the X70 Pro Plus’s camera very versatile and fun to use, while its overall ability is a couple of software updates away from really keeping pace with the very best camera phones out there. Is it more than a mega spec sheet? Yes, the specs do translate into a great phone and camera experience, but there is still room to improve the photos and the software.

The Vivo X70 Pro Plus smartphone is certainly the best camera phone you can get from Vivo. It has incredible cinematic, portrait, stabilization, image processing, etc capabilities that reveal the true potential of the Zeiss lens coating. In addition, the camera setup refined the way to take pictures and provided an engaging result with the aid of AI software rendering. Furthermore, the processing aspect and battery performance also live up to the name. Overall, the Vivo X70 Pro smartphone is worth recommending to everyone looking for a good combination of camera, performance, and battery all in one. But if you are looking for an alternative option that might be a tough competition with this phone, you can check out the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 smartphone.

Vivo has been around in India for seven years now, and it is among the top three handset brands. The company has done reasonably well with its entry-level Y-series and mid-range smartphones, but where it lacks is the premium segment. And, that's why the Vivo X70 Pro+ is an important smartphone for the brand in 2021. There's no doubt that Vivo has thrown in everything to make the X70 Pro+ an ultimate device that can compare with the best out there this year. You get a premium-looking phone with the best processor under the hood and a camera system that is not easy to match with other Android handset manufacturers. I mean, no other brand offers a gimbal setup on its smartphones. To top it off, Vivo has added waterproof resistance and a 2K display. If you're okay using a large screen smartphone, then the X70 Pro+ is your perfect companion. Where there could be a real problem, it is with the Rs 79,990 price tag. For those who want the best of everything and budget isn't a problem, the Vivo X70 Pro+ is an excellent Android premium smartphone.

I won’t beat around the bush at all – the X70 Pro+ is a fantastic Android phone. For long, we’ve seen OEMs try their darndest to compete against the latest Galaxy phone or Apple iPhone and with the X70 Pro+, I feel that Vivo has honestly bridged the gap. The handset isn’t perfect and I would’ve liked to see tighter haptics, along with a more ergonomic display. However, the X70 Pro+ does more than enough to justify its price. So, if you were on the lookout for a top-notch Android phone, you should definitely consider the X70 Pro+.

Vivo has finally caught up to the premium competition with the X70 Pro Plus, bringing truly high-end features like wireless charging, water resistance, and a QHD+ 120Hz OLED screen. Throw in an already versatile camera system boosted by the innovative micro-gimbal setup, plenty of horsepower, and decent battery life (at least at FHD+ resolution) and you’ve got a high-end phone that can go toe-to-toe with the best of them. There are still a fair few areas in need of improvement though. Bloatware is still a major issue with Vivo’s software. The phone itself will also be too large for many people, though that’ll no doubt add to the appeal for those who like big phones. Vivo also continues to offer 60x zoom when even 10x zoom isn’t guaranteed to deliver a respectable result and its 5x camera could do with a detail boost.=

The Vivo X70 Pro+ has been launched in India for a price of ₹79,990 which means it competes against top-tier flagships from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and even Apple if you’re willing to consider an iOS device. The OnePlus 9 Pro and the Mi 11 Ultra are slightly cheaper with the latter offering similar camera hardware. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also available at a similar price and while it isn’t as feature-packed as the X70 Pro+, it can fold in half which will appeal to a lot of people. We’ll have more to say about the Vivo X70 Pro+ in our review of the device where we’ll give you a verdict on whether or not you should buy the phone. However, if we go solely by our initial impressions of the phone, Vivo has made a solid device that can give other flagship phones a good run for their money. It just remains to be seen how good of a run it is.

To some extent, the Vivo X70 Pro+ feels like an incremental step up from the X60 Pro+, which isn’t a surprise considering the narrow gap in time between the two flagships. Even most of the camera sensors are identical, though key specs like the display have definitely been given a noteworthy upgrade. When it comes to those differences, however, Vivo clearly aimed for the improvements that would matter the most, and it hit the nail right on the head. With advanced photography features that you’ll be able to enjoy on its large and beautiful screen, the Vivo X70 Pro+ checks all the right boxes for a powerful yet easy-to-use mobile photography tool that you can play games on, too.

Vivo has not held back in any way with the X70 Pro+. With unique features such as its gimbal camera stabilisation and V1 chip, it has successfully made a space for itself in the premium smartphone segment. The X70 Pro+ also has enough other updates to warrant an upgrade even from the X60 Pro+ (Review). It's not perfect, but it sure comes close, and with a barrage of features (most of which work as expected), there's little to complain about. There are plenty of options at this price level including those from bigger brands such as Samsung and Apple, but none of them offer so much flexibility in terms of cameras, core hardware, and features.

The comprehensive and top-level comprehensive functional performance is only part of it. In terms of details, Vivo seems to be more serious than ever this time. Even the headphones included in the packing list have been replaced by Vivo TWS 2. At the same time, the “radical” design, which rarely appears on the main flagship series, appeared for the first time on the X70 Pro+. If you use one sentence to describe the Vivo X70 Pro+, it may be the most appropriate “featured all-around flagship”. This makes me look forward to the NEX series, which has not been updated for a long time.

Qualcomm Adreno 660:
