The Vivo X200 Pro maintains the benchmark set by its predecessor, the X100 Pro, and is the camera phone to beat in 2025. The X200 Pro also brings significant upgrades across the board. The standout feature remains its ZEISS-engineered rear camera system, which is a benchmark for smartphone photography. At its core is an extraordinary 200MP telephoto lens, delivering excellent clarity and detail, whether capturing distant subjects or shooting portraits. This is complemented by a versatile suite of lenses, ensuring professional-grade performance in virtually any lighting condition. The X200 Pro also shines in other key areas. Its display offers vibrant colours, deep contrast, and ultra-smooth refresh rates, making everything from streaming to gaming a delight.

Is the Vivo X200 Pro the right phone for you? Well, that’s for you to figure out, of course, what I can say is that this is an outstanding smartphone, one of the best I’ve ever used. It has one of the best and best-performing camera setups on the market. On top of that, the performance is top-notch, as is the battery life, while the phone also charges really fast. Wireless charging is included, as is an outstanding display, and so on. There’s really not much to complain about when it comes to this phone. You can find some details that you’d like to be different, but as a whole, the Vivo X200 Pro is an outstanding phone. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth your hard-earned cash.

The X200 Pro is another masterstroke from Vivo. It packs in so much that when you compare it with any other rival smartphone in its price range, the X200 Pro beats them hands down. Of course, the first set of users sliding towards X200 Pro have to be camera enthusiasts, and there is no point in guessing that. But, as an overall package, the X200 Pro is Vivo's best smartphone offering in its 10 years of existence in India. Yes, it's that good. The cameras will blow you away, while the design will grow on you as you spend more time with the X200 Pro. Performance is handled well; software-wise, this is Vivo's most sorted device yet. The IP68 + IP69 ratings should give you peace of mind while navigating in some challenging conditions.

The Vivo X200 Pro is a compelling flagship smartphone that caters primarily to photography enthusiasts while delivering a well-rounded performance. Its standout camera system, featuring a 200MP Zeiss-certified APO telephoto lens and a range of advanced imaging modes, sets a new standard in mobile photography. Beyond the camera, the device impresses with its powerful performance, exceptional battery life, and premium display quality. There is room for improvement in areas like videography and software features, where it lags behind competitors. However, it remains one of the top choices in the premium smartphone segment.

At Rs 94,999, the Vivo X200 Pro is competing for the top camera honours among smartphones this year and I think it has more than a chance. If you are a creative person or consider yourself a decent photographer, then this is one phone worth investing in. It helps, that this camera also doubles off as a good flagship smartphone.

Reviewing the Vivo X200 Pro (global edition) after nearly two weeks of using as my full time phone. From its Zeiss camera tech to the gaming smarts and battery life, the Vivo X200 Pro has a lot of highlights. Personally I prefer the software experience on the Find X8 Pro etc, but vs the iPhone 16 Pro Max, this is a clear winner.

The Vivo X200 Pro is a testament to Vivo’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone photography. Its revamped telephoto lens, improved video capabilities, and versatile camera features make it a standout choice for photography enthusiasts. While it doesn’t dominate in raw performance or gaming, the X200 Pro delivers a well-rounded flagship experience with excellent battery life, a stunning display, and a premium build. The refined FunTouch OS enhances usability, but the bloatware remains a drawback. The Vivo X200 Pro enters the market as a bold statement for smartphone photography enthusiasts, building upon the strong foundation laid by its predecessor, the Vivo X100 Pro (review). With a relentless focus on camera innovation, Vivo aims to cement its place as a leader in mobile photography.

If you live in a country where the Vivo X200 Pro is sold officially, you should absolutely check it out. Performance is up there with the best late-2024 and 2025 flagships, battery life is genuinely impressive, and the screen is a beauty. I can’t really fault the styling either – sure, it feels a little samey, but seemingly the whole phone world is guilty of that these days. Photography is where this phone stands out, with one of the best zoom lenses I’ve used and image processing that’s on point pretty much everywhere. Some rivals eke out wins in certain situations, but the Vivo doesn’t really let the side down anywhere. I prefer its colour treatment to anything Samsung or Apple is doing right now, which is high praise indeed.

The Vivo X200 Pro is a real delight, and if you’re ok with carrying a fairly chunky phone, with an absolute unit of a camera bump, you’re sure to love it too. This is likely the best camera phone available in the global market today. Don’t be fooled into thinking that cameras are the only attraction here, though, it has a lovely display, powerful performance, solid battery life and speedy charging. It looks and feels extremely premium, too. The downside is the availability. This phone isn’t coming to the UK, and to no one’s surprise, it’s not coming to the US either. The only European countries that are currently confirmed are Spain, Italy, Poland and Hungary. So for a lot of our readers, the only way to get one would involve importing, which is a real shame, as most people aren’t going to want the hassle.

Vivo didn't make too many changes to the X200 Pro, and that's a good thing. You still get terrific cameras and a versatile auxiliary package that includes a 200MP telephoto lens from the X100 Ultra, and it shoots groundbreaking portrait photos. The new design is great to hold, the AMOLED panel gets noticeably brighter than the X100 Pro, there's even more power, and the phone lasts two days thanks to a bigger battery. If you're in the market for a flagship and want something that has the best camera package, the X200 Pro should be at the top of your list.

The Vivo X200 series offers excellent value for money, delivering a premium experience and impressive performance at a significantly lower price than iPhones. The standard Vivo X200 is priced at Rs 64,999, while the Pro version costs Rs 94,999. If you’re seeking the best overall experience across most areas, the Vivo X200 Pro is the ideal choice. However, if you don’t need the 200-megapixel mode for ultra-high-resolution and you aren’t particular about crazy detailed shots, the standard Vivo X200 model is a fantastic alternative. It provides a photography experience, which is nearly at par with the Pro at a much lower cost. That said, the standard model does have some trade-offs in comparison to the Pro. It doesn't offer an LTPO panel (1Hz to 120Hz only on Pro) and comes with a slightly smaller battery (5,800mAh vs the Pro’s 6,000mAh).

The vivo X200 Pro is an excellent flagship smartphone that boasts excellent performance and multimedia capabilities. The cameras, while great, provide a bit of an odd experience in the sense that the wide camera is not as good as its zoom camera, and every other camera module could use an improvement. If you do take zoom shots a lot, it is quite enjoyable to use as it really works great. Its battery life makes it stand within a class of its own and I hope all the other brands take note of this.

At the end of the day, should you buy the vivo X200 Pro? At the price of RM4,699, I’d say yes. It’s once again a good all-rounder package with an emphasis on the cameras because I just like it a lot. Thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, we can also play games with high frame rates and graphical settings on this phone yet the thermal limit is only at 45°C. The phone also looks and feels great to hold, but I’m really not a fan of the camera bump. At the price of RM4,699 – it is definitely creeping up to the ultra flagships of the world. The Funtouch OS is also a bit bland and it has a bunch of ads and bloatware that we have to deal with. Flagship phones shouldn’t have such things. It’s really up to you to decide if this is a good phone or not. We’ve shown you our findings and the price. If you like it, go buy one.

Ok, conclusion time, and after using the Vivo X200 Pro for a week with my primary SIM and all my social media accounts synced, I honestly never felt the need to use my iPhone 16 Pro, except for taking portrait videos for my Instagram reels and stories! So, this goes on to show how mature Chinese phones have become!

Equipped with the powerful Dimensity 9400 processor, the X200 Pro mini runs smoothly in everyday use and achieves a benchmark score of 2.71 million. It effortlessly handles games like King of Glory and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds at full frame rates. High-performance games like Genshin Impact and Collapse also run at full frame with ease, ensuring this device remains relevant for years. In photography, the new LYT818 COMS sensor delivers impressive results both day and night. Supported by Zeiss, images are clear, bright, and visually appealing. The 2/1-inch Zeiss periscope telephoto lens captures a variety of scenes with enhanced clarity, while the Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens handles large scenes effectively, offering consistent color with the main camera.

The X200 Pro had big shoes to fill for us - it was meant to be the X100 Ultra we couldn't have. For the most part, it delivers, but vivo does appear to have made sure to leave enough room to breathe for the next Ultra. It was the X100 Ultra camera setup we were after, only in a global firmware phone, and the new Pro doesn't quite get us there. The main camera is great, just not quite as great as we know they can make them, the ultrawide is average, and the selfie camera isn't Ultra-grade either. But really, it was the X100 Ultra's telephoto that we've dubbed 'transformative' on more than one occasion, and the X200 Pro is on its way to bringing that to the world.

The Vivo X200 Pro brings major improvements over its predecessor in terms of design, camera, processing power and battery life. It is a phone that deserves the “Pro” moniker in its name and is unparalleled in terms of camera performance thanks to the new 200-megapixel telephoto lens. If you want a Vivo phone that does not compromise in any segment, then consider buying the Vivo X200 Pro. Those looking for a smaller form factor can take a look at the Vivo X200 Pro mini, which offers similar features albeit in a much more compact frame.

As Vivo’s 2024 imaging flagship, the X200 Pro builds on the success of the X100 Ultra’s telephoto imaging while achieving comprehensive upgrades in performance and battery life. It successfully establishes itself as a new benchmark for imaging phones. The X200 Pro enhances the X100 Ultra’s 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super-telephoto lens, featuring a large 1/1.4-inch sensor that accurately captures details and colors in long-range shots. Whether photographing architectural vistas during the day or the starry sky at night, the X200 Pro’s periscope telephoto lens consistently delivers high-quality, clear, and bright images, even in complex lighting conditions.

It seems like the vivo X200 Pro received some extra love this year. The company is introducing a substantial upgrade to the camera system with supporting software features, runs on an even more powerful chipset and gets some extra battery capacity. If vivo is able to maintain a reasonable price point outside of China, it can easily become one of the hottest flagships, at least until the first half of next year. It also raises our expectations of the upcoming vivo X200 Ultra and gives fewer reasons to get the X100 Ultra from earlier this year. The X200 Pro gets pretty close to the X100 Ultra hardware and feature-wise.

The Vivo X200 Pro is here. How big of an upgrade will depend on which X100 phone you're comparing to. Against the X100 Pro, it's a noticeable upgrade, with a 200-megapixel Periscope zoom lens with the largest sensor size in the industry, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, along with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. Against the X100 Ultra, it's a smaller upgrade, since it already has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and the 200-megapixel zoom lens. But the X200 Pro bring some new software camera features, like the ability to shoot 135mm portraits with very fast shutter. There's also the ability to shoot 10-bit LOG footage that opens up color grading possibilities.
