The Oppo Find X6 Pro is easily one of the best smartphones for photographers. With its one-inch sensor, large accompanying sensors, Hasselblad-crafted glass and a range of useful features, it produces excellent images, is great to use and looks fantastic too. However, it’s only “officially” available in China. Assuming you’re reading this in a different territory, your options for actually getting hold of one are limited. You can import directly from China (with pretty reasonable prices, actually), but you’ll then potentially face problems if there’s any issues or breakdown of your phone. It might be worth taking the risk, but it’s a big ask. We’ve been told that there are currently no plans to release the Find X6 Pro in other territories outside of China. We can only hope that Oppo changes its mind as, if it had a global release, it would easily be a contender to take on the might of Samsung and Apple.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro performed very well in our battery-test protocol, achieving second place in our overall battery ranking and taking the top post among the phones in our Ultra-Premium segment. The Find X6 Pro clearly outperformed the Oppo Find X5 Pro with much better autonomy and efficiency. The device also showed a slight improvement over the excellent charging experience of its predecessor. The device’s autonomy was very good, lasting 63 hours and 39 minutes, when used moderately. Autonomy tests of individual use cases showed excellent results when streaming videos and gaming as well as when calling and scrolling on social apps outdoors. However, autonomy was quite poor when using the camera. The Oppo Find X6 Pro’s charging experience was excellent for both wired and wireless charges. It took only 46 minutes and 17 seconds to fully replenish the battery with the 100W wired charger, and 1 hour with the wireless stand.

The Find X6 Pro is Oppo’s best-ever phone and has one of the best, if not the best, main cameras of any phone ever made. If it was on sale in the Western market this publication is aimed at, this would be one of the best phones to buy. Probably a rare five-star rating – the camera is that good. As it stands, I can’t recommend the phone to most people because you won’t get a proper warranty if you import it, and because of its Chinese software. If money is no object and you can afford the phone – and might only use it as a camera, not your main phone – then go for it. I got the phone working with all my apps, and you probably will too with time and effort. But it’s an annoying experience daily with Chinese apps and script popping up frequently because you can’t truly disable all their instances.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro’s overall Display score reflects its strong performance in the color and touch attributes. The device showed good color rendering in every use case tested, along with uniformity in the screen’s color and brightness. The device’s screen smoothness was evident when playing video games and surfing the web, as well as when zooming in the gallery app. Oppo’s latest flagship made a slight improvement in its global score over its predecessor, the Oppo Find X5 Pro, despite the screen’s slightly low brightness, particularly outdoors under sunlight. We measured the Find X6 Pro’s screen brightness at 1250 nits under intense lighting conditions (100K lux), which was lower than some of its competitors in its class. The lack of brightness affected the video-watching experience, making it uncomfortable to watch HDR10 content as dark tones were hard to see. The video-gaming experience was satisfactory thanks to the screen’s smooth interactions and the absence of frame drops.

Any verdict on the Find X6 Pro is mainly for academic interest, since unfortunately, OPPO isn’t launching the phone in India officially. This is a bummer since this isn’t just another loaded handset packed to the brim with powerful specs, a solid feature set and capable cameras, it has what it takes to deliver a great user experience. Any modern-day flagship smartphone these days is expected to score high on the core aspects like performance, battery life, camera quality etc, but the Find X6 Pro goes above and beyond in many ways — with its design and photography prowess proving to be the feathers in its already well-adored cap.

The verdict for this one is pretty simple. The Find X6 Pro does almost everything from refreshing at a smooth 120Hz to clicking dramatic photos. It also offers a good gaming performance and offers the style you’d want in a premium phone. Keeping all that in mind, If you have a knack for clicking photos and want a powerful flagship that does most things, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is for you. If you are already using a recent flagship, then the only major reason for you to upgrade should be the cameras (assuming that your current flagship phone is offering good performance). But…But, don’t get any happier. The Find X6 Pro isn’t available in India and Oppo doesn’t have any such plans. That said, importing it is the only option but that’s less practical. That leaves us with options like Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, OnePlus 11 5G, iQOO 11 5G, and Xiaomi 13 Pro. The Samsung phone does a similar zoom (100x) while the Xiaomi phone offers the same 1-inch type sensor.

The Find X6 Pro delivers meaningful upgrades across the board from its predecessor, and the changes to its design aesthetic make it stand out quite a bit. OPPO also upgraded the internal hardware and overhauled the cameras, delivering one of the best camera packages on a phone today. The integration with Hasselblad is still intact, and it too has considerable changes to the tuning this year, and you get natural photos that look amazing. Throw in a large battery with some of the fastest charging tech and the same number of updates as Samsung's best phones, and the Find X6 Pro is an all-rounder. There's just one problem, and it is a deal-breaker: the phone isn't launching outside China, so it misses out on the Play Store and other Google services.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro gets almost everything right when it comes to photography. The company has put in much effort in creating a great camera setup and offers a customised experience with the Hasselblad tie-up. A photographer’s delight, the phone also gets a distinct design, great display, large battery and powerful chipset to tackle most tasks. The down point of this smartphone is that it will not be available in India.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro’s audio performance was very similar to its predecessor’s, the Find X5 Pro, with natural sounding audio but a lack of clarity and brilliance in both playback and recording. Our experts found the Find X6 Pro’s recordings to be clean and sufficiently loud, but clarity dropped noticeably at high volume for both recording and playback. With its built-in speakers, the Find X6 Pro delivered fairly consistent results across use cases, making it equally suitable for listening to music, watching movies and gaming. When recording, it did best with the main camera. This said, it was also a decent option for selfie camera and memo recordings.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro is an excellent phone with a great design, a solid build, and an all-round performance. You get some of the best hardware Android phones have to offer right now, and it’s hard to fault it given how good the hardware is. You get an incredibly capable camera for a smartphone, producing photos that will make you want to consider getting this phone for the camera alone. The performance is pretty great, too, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is not only a solid performer but also very efficient. The 5000mAh battery is capable of all-day battery life, and a top-up is rapid thanks to 100W charging, with the charger included in the box. It’s a shame, then, that the phone isn’t going to be sold globally officially. It’s exclusive to China, and the software is thus geared for the Chinese market. While you can install Google Apps easily, the phone cannot do some things, like run Android Auto. If some software compromises are okay with you, this one might be worth importing for the hardware alone.

Unfortunately, the phone's biggest flaw goes beyond specs and features and is something that is trickier to solve. As of this writing, Oppo hasn't announced any plans to bring its latest flagship to global markets, though that could just be a matter of time at this point. The phone would have to undergo certifications in different markets, but that's nothing new to the company. The price in Oppo's online shop, which is around $1,020 (converted from ¥6999), could become a sticking point, but that figure isn't uncommon for premium phones such as this. It will definitely be a shame and a terrible missed opportunity if the Oppo Find X6 Pro remains chained to a single market, unable to shine gloriously for everyone to see and experience how smartphone cameras should be.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro is undoubtfully one of the best smartphones on the market, even if it's strictly China-bound for now. The flagship has a one-of-a-kind design, with a good grip and unique charm, and water-resistant, too. Then there is the incredibly bright QHD OLED screen with dynamic 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support - it's an excellent piece of hardware that's will wow you. The latest Oppo flagship relies on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, meaning we cannot ask for more (in terms of hardware) than this. Well, maybe the GPU stability could have been better, but few are really excelling in this department. On the other hand, the high frame rate gaming is still a no-go for BBK-made phones - at least not universally - maybe only for certain titles where the developers have partnered with Oppo. Regardless of its many virtues, it would be tough to convince anyone to buy a gray import due to the lack of local support, such as warranty servicing, spare parts and first-party accessories, and whatnot. Still, the great camera quality and the top-notch user experience should be enough to make quite a few people take that risk. And if you live in China, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is probably the best phone to buy right now. Long story short - the Oppo Find X6 Pro is one of the best smartphones to come out in the first half of the year, and its hardware ticks all the boxes - a dream come true for any tech geek. We hope Oppo reconsiders and eventually launches the Find X6 Pro outside China.

The US carriers are immersed in the Apple-Samsung duopoly, but our Oppo Find X6 Pro review tests prove that there are other phone manufacturers out there that can go toe-to-toe with those two and often beat them at their own design, camera, display, or performance games. The unique ergonomic design reminiscent of a retro Hasselblad camera, brightest phone display for outdoor viewing, best periscope zoom camera performance in low light and portrait shots, as well as long battery life come at the humble price of a grand for the top 16GB/512GB version. The only things holding the Find X6 Pro back is its limited global availability at launch and the stagnant selfie camera, but beating the Galaxy S23 Ultra at its own zoom game, and the extra features like phone-only sleep tracking or silent call privacy mode make importing a worthy endeavor, be it just for the exclusivity bragging rights.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro is the pinnacle of hardware and software with a great combination of 5G connectivity, beautiful camera results, and long-lasting battery life. Moreover, the phone also delivers higher performance and an advanced touch response display. Not to forget, the phone looks quite attractive and premium when you are holding it for the first time. It got all of the ingredients to become a flagship phone. But there’s no denying that there are several other options that deliver almost the same or an even better deal. For example, the recent release of Motorola Moto X40 can give this phone tough competition in almost every aspect. However, if you are looking for a camera-centric phone, we would suggest you go with the Vivo X90 Pro Plus. Last but not least, we have presented alternatives and the good and bad aspects of Oppo Find X6 Pro, so make a decision that fits your requirements.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro and its regular sibling launched in China this week and here's a run-through of the camera tech, battery specs and other bits - showing how the standard Oppo Find X6 compares vs that Pro model. Here's hoping the global launch happens soon, so the UK is graced with this lovely pair. That was just one of many phone events this week, with Xiaomi also unveiling its fresh Redmi Note 12 series of phones. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G is the most premium model, boasting a 200MP camera, slick performance, 120W battery charging - it's more flagship than the Oppo Find X6 Pro in some regards, although not as nippy. Huawei was another one to launch their latest shiny smartphones in China, again no word on a UK release just yet. Here's hoping that both the Oppo Find X6 Pro and the Huawei P60 series make it over here in 2023. Oh, and Amazon launched some TVs and Nothing did some earbuds and oh god leave me alone I just need to drink and have a cry

The OPPO Find X6 Pro would be truly easy to recommend if it came with global software. This way, it all depends on if you’re willing to put up with some limitations I’ve mentioned, and sideload Google Play Services. As far as Europe goes, 5G should work without issue, at least it did for me. Your mileage may vary in different regions. If we put the software side of things to the side, this is a truly fantastic smartphone. I cannot emphasize enough how outstanding the cameras are on this phone. This may be the most powerful camera hardware overall, and OPPO in collaboration with Hasselblad did an amazing job when it comes to optimization. The display is in a category of its own, it’s excellent in every way, and the brightest out of any phone. The battery life is also excellent, while you can choose if you prefer wired or wireless charging, both options will charge up the device really fast. I could go on for a long time about the positives of the device. As I said, if you don’t mind importing the device, and are willing to put up with some software shenanigans, this is a truly outstanding device. It simply screams “premium”, in every way.

The first 300 buyers will also receive a gift (valued at $150). When ordering, it will appear below the page title, and can be added by directly selecting the checkbox. It’s here — the OPPO Find X6 Pro. I haven’t been this excited to do a video on a phone in a long time. This phone not only packs all the high end specs. It looks beautiful, charges insanely fast, and has the best camera on a smartphone today.

One thing you can say about the big and bold Oppo Find X6 Pro is that it makes an impression. Anyone who caught a glimpse of the 6.82-inch phone's back couldn't help but comment on the gigantic, circular camera array. As I see it, you can't talk about the phone without addressing this distinct piece of the phone's hardware. The reality at this moment is that it's hard to write about much else on the Android 13 handset, which currently looks like it's only set to sell in China. Oppo graciously shipped me the Chinese version, which is packed with Mandarin text and is not currently capable of accepting English apps – including the Google Play Store. As a result, while I could experience the beefy hardware and lovely large screen, take countless photos (and some video), and play around with the pre- stalled Chinese version of TikTok, I couldn't test much else. There's no way to benchmark the phone and run my favorite apps, not right now, anyway. Here's what I can tell you. This is a big, thick phone with three (count 'em three!) 50MP sensors on the back, which includes a wide, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto (3x optical). They all get an image-processing assist from the leading-edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile chipset and Oppo's MariSilicon X imaging NPU, as well as some tuning, courtesy of the company's ongoing partnership with Hasselblad.

The Find X6 Pro’s screen is stunning; its performance top tier; its battery life and charging speeds both excellent. This is comfortably one of the best Android phones around in terms of hardware. Go for the vegan leather version and we’d argue it’s also one of the best looking. Photography is where it truly excels, though. The versatile trio of lenses comfortably rival Samsung, Apple and Google for outright clarity and low-light performance, with the 1in sensor delivering dreamy-looking in-camera bokeh on par with Xiaomi’s best. The S23 Ultra still has the edge for long distance zoom, and some will prefer an iPhone or Pixel’s colour and contrast processing, but there’s very little in it. That just makes it all the more frustrating that Oppo isn’t giving the phone a global launch. While the firm’s sister brands have done this before (the OnePlus 11 waited two months between its Chinese and worldwide launches), they were upfront about eventual availability in other territories. Right now, Oppo is staying silent. Maybe Xiaomi, who partnered with Sony to develop the IMX989 sensor, has secured the lion’s share of supply for its own Xiaomi 13 Pro, which is going global. Importing is currently your only option, so you’ll have to take the associated costs and inconvenience into account when deciding whether to take the plunge, or just pick up something that’s available locally instead. Should Oppo manage to bring it to other markets later down the line – and the price not be too outlandish – we wouldn’t hesitate to award the Find X6 Pro an extra star.

As we’ve come to expect from OPPO, the Find X6 Pro boasts exquisite hardware and rock-solid software (Chinese features excluded), but it’s the design and camera that really stand out. Circular lens housings seem to be in right now, such as with its sister brand’s OnePlus 11. But although you can find somewhat similar looks elsewhere, the vegan leather option certainly lends a uniquely premium feel to the phone. Throw in the familiar assortment of flagship-tier hardware and a long-term update promise, and there’s a very compelling smartphone here. Unfortunately, consumers outside of China won’t get the chance to experience it. As mentioned, there’s (currently) no global launch planned for the OPPO Find X6 Pro. Disappointing, then, especially given the wider availability of previous OPPO flagships for the past few years. More frustrating is that a truly robust camera package has been the only missing piece of the Find X puzzle in the past few years. 2022’s Find X5 Pro camera was good but not quite great. OPPO has more than addressed issues like oversaturated colors with the Find X6 Pro, producing a comprehensive wide, ultrawide, and zoom setup that, based on our short time with it, looks set to rival the best in the business. As a bit of a camera obsessive, this is a phone I’d like to spend a lot more time with, were it not for the software situation.
