Overall, I think the Find N5 is probably the best-designed foldable I’ve used. It barely has a crease, its flat sides are really comfortable to hold, and I’m not scared of breaking it like I am with other foldables. It feels solid despite being the thinnest foldable you can get. Battery life, processing power, and its telephoto camera are all positives, too. At the same time, the O Plus Connect functionality will likely appeal to a select few who dream of Android/Mac seamlessness. Given its positives, I feel like I can look past a few of those annoying quirks that I mentioned. However, it’s held back by the limited camera performance, and one ridiculous decision that leaves it dead in the water for most people: OPPO has made it incredibly difficult for users to purchase this device.

It is a phone that I have imported with the help of the chaps over at the Average Dad Tech Store who are one of the exclusive importers of this device. and if you are interested in purchasing you should head over and check out their deals. The device I’m talking about is of course the Oppo Find N5 Folding smartphone. This device is essentially what would have been had OnePlus decided to launch

This feels normal is among the highest praise you could give a foldable phone, in my book, and the Find N5 has earned it. Whether I'm using the cover display or the internal one, I'm not constantly reminded of how gimmicky the concept of a foldable phone can be, because everything feels sleek and comfortable. Yes, the Find N5 is remarkably thin and lightweight, but it's also exceptionally practical and enjoyable to use. And it's good to see that a thinner build doesn't necessarily mean slimmer capabilities. I'm personally still not sure if I'd make the switch full-time to a foldable phone, largely because of the high price tag, but the Oppo Find N5 helped to assuage some of my reservations about practicality and bulkiness. After all, social media scrolls and multitasking just aren't the same on a non-folding phone after seeing what's possible on the flip side.

The OPPO Find N5 isn’t just another foldable—it’s a statement. With its ultra-thin design, nearly invisible crease, a foldable-first camera that competes with traditional flagships, and a massive battery that doesn’t sacrifice portability, OPPO has redefined what we should expect from foldable smartphones in 2025. But while the Find N5 raises the bar for hardware and usability, there’s a catch—you might not be able to buy one. OPPO has labeled this a “global launch,” yet the phone doesn’t seem to be headed for the US or EU, making its availability feel oddly restricted. For now, the Find N5 will officially go on sale in Singapore on February 28th, priced at SGD 2,499. Other regions will likely follow, but OPPO has yet to clarify exactly where and when.

Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone else in between — we finally have a book-style foldable suitable for the masses who want it to be just as good as the best bar-type phones in the market. The OPPO Find N5's core value proposition is that it’s a foldable phone with a normal phone's form factor. We’ve covered in great detail above how its fancy product engineering feats solve crucial flaws and limitations of older foldable phones. It goes beyond being slim and offers a near-creaseless display, for starters. The OPPO Find N5 also shines because it uses premium components. Their combined efforts translate into its flagship performance during daily use, the prowess of its cameras, and its lengthier battery life.

The Oppo Find N5 is a phenomenal foldable smartphone. It uses the latest hardware, adds up more battery life, and has an invisible display crease. Moreover, the camera results aren’t that boring, you can still find impressive photos and videos. In addition to that, there are extra features like IP protection, impressive sound output, top-end connectivity perks, and other aspect that make this phone a pretty deal. But, the phone sacrifices one core from the processor, and gives an average ultra-wide senor to cut down some corners.

n other words, market leader Samsung must be quaking in its boots. Because the Oppo Find N5 blows the Galaxy Z Fold 6 away in almost every department. From battery capacity to charging speed to the form factor, I would pick Oppo over Samsung. While Samsung may be ahead currently when it comes to integrating AI into its phones — see the Galaxy S25 Ultra — the Find N5 does have Google Gemini and Circle to Search. At the launch, Oppo said that deeper integration between Gemini and Oppo's apps is coming. In the meantime, Oppo has its own AI features, which are the usual ones like AI summary and AI Eraser.

Okay, so should you buy the OPPO Find N5? Well, it’s thin and has great battery life. The cameras are great if you don’t use the ultrawide angle, and the software remains familiar to those who are familiar with the Find N3 Fold. If you like the phone – then go for it. No one can stop you. If you want my opinion on it, then I’m going to lay a hot take here. While the OPPO Find N5 is indeed thin, I think that its thinness comes with many sacrifices. Remember – we cannot cheat physics. With a phone this thin, we can only fit so many components in it. It’s clear that the gaming performance is heavily affected, using a nerfed Snapdragon 8 Elite can’t help much either. The camera bump is also thinner but that doesn’t actually affect the quality much – except for the ultrawide angle camera. But my conclusion remains the same.

The Oppo Find N5 is undoubtedly 2025's hottest new folding phone – and with the OnePlus Open 2 now off the books for this year, Oppo can spread its wings and reach even more prospective users. It's an impressive device both from a specification aspect and in use. However, while I love many of the aspects of the Find N5, there are still those small software niggles – touch sensitivity, peculiar Themes, double app stores – that don't quite echo the design's overall finesse. All in all, if the price hits right, Oppo is clearly onto a winner in the Find N5. It's a folding phone monster that packs plenty of muscle – impressive battery, power, the biggest screen and smallest crease going – into an almost impossibly thin body. Your move, Samsung, et al.

If Oppo offered a couple of extra years of software support, and guaranteed that users around the world have direct route to buying the Find N5, then it would be as perfect a foldable as we could have right now. But even without those two problems addressed, this is still a long way ahead of the current best foldables. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold are going to have to undergo huge improvements if their next-gen versions want to compete. But the fact that they’re going to be sold in the U.S. and the Oppo isn’t will keep them as the best available foldables for a huge amount of possible customers. We had hoped that the OnePlus Open 2 would be along soon, borrowing large parts of the Find N5's design along the way, but OnePlus has confirmed it won't launch a foldable this year.

The wait for OPPO’s return to the foldables market is worth it, as the Find N5 is an engineering marvel by itself: aside from being insanely thin, OPPO was able to find a way to further reduce the crease in the inner display and give it better water resistance than the rest of the foldables that are available in the market. We’re not sure if OPPO will bring the Find N5 to the Philippines, but in Singapore it is priced at SGD 2500 or around Php 103k when converted, making it pricier when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold6.

OPPO Find N5 is thinner than any other foldable today, and that fact is evident once you unfold the device. At just 4.21mm, it is just a smidgen wider than the USB-C port, and using the tablet-sized 8.12-inch OLED inner panel is an absolute joy. The outer 6.62-inch OLED panel on the outside is among the best of any foldable, and thanks to the ultra-thin design, it feels like you're using a regular phone. You also get the best internals of any foldable, the best battery life, the best charging tech, and class-leading ingress protection.

The OPPO Find N5 represents a refined approach to foldable smartphone design, addressing many common issues associated with the form factor. OPPO has delivered a well-polished device that’s practical for everyday use, with features like its slim profile, near-invisible crease, and water resistance. Its standout achievements include impressive camera performance, seamless display transitions, and a solid balance between portability and battery life. The integration of productivity features like O+ Connect for Mac and AI tools further elevates its utility.

The Oppo Find N5 is the folding phone of the future. The world’s new thinnest book-style foldable is here, and never has a folding phone felt so pocketable and easy to use. Both of its displays are the largest of their kind, while advancements in hardware power and battery tech bridge the gap between the folding phone and regular slab phones more successfully than any device before it. The cameras take a step back, and there are one or two bugs to iron out, but excellent internal specs make this one of the fastest folding phones you can buy – in short, it’s an engineering marvel. However, keep in mind that our score and verdict could change once UK pricing is confirmed.

I'm seriously impressed by the Oppo Find N5 – and it’s a game-changer for foldable phones. I am blown away by how remarkably thin and light it is, leaving phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Google Pixel phones looking outdated with their thick bodies. The size makes it pretty much indistinguishable from a regular smartphone when folded, this takes up no more room in my pocket than my usual bar-style phone, but then has that big 8in screen if and when I need it – I am tempted for the first time to actually swap my daily driver to a foldable. Handling is a joy, with silky smooth animations and a feel that makes multitasking on the split-screen inner display a breeze.

The Oppo Find N5 more or less represents the pinnacle of current foldable tech. It uses the most modern Snapdragon 8 Elite generation of chipset, and more importantly, it is exquisitely crafted to be exceptionally thin while still packing in a big Si/C battery and an impressive hinge that makes for an almost invisible display crease. Oppo even found space for a versatile camera system. The Find N5 is well-equipped through and through. It supports all of the latest connectivity standards, including some little extras like tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and video output via its Type-C port. The technological density on display here is really impressive. Oppo even found the space to fit in proper stereo speakers and even an IR blaster. Even Oppo's signature alert slider is present. Having said all this, is the Find N5 a perfect device?

We’ve seen many foldable phones make their entrance over the years. However, the OPPO Find N5 isn’t just another foldable—it’s probably one of the most refined ones to date. With its ultra-thin design, titanium hinge, flagship performance, and battery life, this might be the first foldable that feels like OPPO refused to compromise on. Whether you’re a foldable veteran or a first-time buyer, the Find N5 makes a strong case for why the future is foldable. It remains to be seen if these specs and features can truly deliver what OPPO is promising, and more importantly—will it be enough to dethrone Samsung’s dominance? That remains to be seen. The OPPO Find N5 is available in a Misty White or Cosmic Black finish. It is available for purchase on the 28th of February where it will be priced at SGD2,499 (~$1,800).

Can book-style foldables get any slimmer than this? I’m not sure they need to. The Oppo Find N5 is practically as svelte as a non-folding flagship, with only the smallest of internal compromises. Real-world performance is rapid, battery life is really rather great, and image quality is suitably top-tier on two of the three rear cameras. It also adds features missing from the last-gen model like wireless charging, and puts rival foldables in the shade with its water resistance. Software that lets you maximise multitasking on the inner screen is then the icing on the cake. Cutting back the ultrawide to minimise the camera bump and losing a CPU core to keep temperatures in check are minor slights overall.

Oppo’s Find N5 feels like the end game for foldable phones. Not because it’s make or break for a segment of the phone market that never quite took off like manufacturers hoped it would, but because I simply don’t know where we go from here. There’s scarcely room to make the phone thinner without ditching USB-C entirely; battery life, performance, and even cameras are now on par with other flagship phones; and this time, Oppo even managed to fit wireless charging and water resistance in, too. This is what we were promised all along. Now what?

I’ve been waiting on the OPPO Find N5 for over a year, so bottom line, did it deliver? The phone itself did deliver. However, OnePlus dropped the ball by not picking up the Find N5 and selling it as the Open 2. They did this with the Find N3, so we all were expecting the same thing this time around. Which puts a pretty sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths. However, the Find N5 itself is an incredible leap forward for a phone that was already one of the best on the market and won many awards. Unfortunately, it won’t be coming to the US, so if you’re like me and are in the US, you might need to import it. I’ve been using it on Google Fi (T-Mobile) and US Mobile (AT&T) and have had no issues for the past couple of weeks.
