Overall, the OnePlus Nord CE4 5G is a reliable smartphone when it comes to being a daily driver. It offers a bright and vibrant display with a long battery life. The camera too does a good job at capturing images in daylight and indoor lighting conditions. When the phone could use improvement is in terms of low-light camera performance, audio system and offering longer software support. Barring that, Nord CE4 5G is definitely a phone worth considering.

While the OnePlus Nord CE 4 offers promising specifications and features, the device lacks camera performance. With growing competition in the mid-range smartphone, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 could shine in the market with attractive design, impressive performance, and lasting battery life. However, OnePlus has the ability to offer more to its users in this segment such as offering greater operating system upgrades than only 2 years and improved camera performance. Apart from the shortcomings, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 is a great smartphone to consider under Rs.25000.

All in all: Should you buy the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Nord CE 4? In short, YES, if you’re looking for an all-rounder. Let’s define an all-round phone: an all-round smartphone fulfills all the requirements to be a good smartphone. Whether it’s the display, the performance, the camera, the software or the battery life, it meets all the criteria. It offers solid performance in all areas and doesn’t just excel in one area while not being so good in another. For example, I can categorize it better when I compare it to other smartphones. If you love design and software, choose the Nothing Phone (2a) to make your choice easier. If you want solid gaming performance, choose the Poco X6 Pro. If you want the best camera smartphone, choose the Realme 12 Pro Plus, or if you want a complete package of good smartphones, choose the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Nord CE 4.

The Nord CE4 has an elegant design, outstanding battery life, and the best charging tech in this segment. But it doesn't quite measure up to its immediate rivals in other areas; the screen doesn't get as bright, the hardware isn't as powerful, and the software isn't as refined . Combine that with a poor wide-angle lens and just two guaranteed platform updates, and the Nord CE4 just doesn't move the needle enough.

If you are looking for a reliable workhorse in a mid-range segment, the OnePlus Nord CE4 5G is very easy to recommend. But if you want a brilliant camera and display to go with it, this may not be the best option for you. OnePlus’ Nord series of mid-range or budget smartphones was launched back in 2020 but it doesn’t feel like it’s only been 4 years since OnePlus broke away from its enthusiast-centric approach to cater to the masses. While the OnePlus Nord smartphones are more mainstream and don’t have that premium or performance-centric aura, they have been hugely successful in the Indian market. We now have the fourth generation of the OnePlus Nord series, starting with the OnePlus Nord CE4, which has usually been the middle child in the Nord series, coming below the main Nord device, and falls above the “Nord Lite” smartphone in the previous two generations.

The OnePlus Nord CE4 perfectly embodies OnePlus’s “never settle” ethos. Whether it’s battery life, display quality, camera performance, or overall speed, this phone delivers without fail. While the build quality is undeniably robust, I personally find the marble design language less appealing. If design ranks high on your list of priorities, you might consider exploring alternatives like the Nothing Phone 2(a) or even the Samsung Galaxy A35. A few areas also need improvements. For instance, videos on the Nord CE4 weren’t at the optimum level, and two years of Android OS updates may not seem significant considering the competition. Perhaps these areas may see improvements next year. But if those things don’t matter too much, the Nord CE4 is a great choice for everyday users.

The OnePlus Nord CE 4 offers a lot of value for its price, especially if you're looking for a no-nonsense smartphone under Rs 30,000. With its sleek design, impressive display, powerful performance, long-lasting battery life, and decent camera capabilities, it ticks many boxes for a reliable daily driver. In terms of performance, the Nord CE 4 handles daily tasks smoothly. It also offers a clean Android experience without any bloatware. Battery life is another strong suit of the Nord CE 4, with its large 5500mAh battery lasting well over a day on a single charge. As for the camera, while it may not compete with flagship devices, the Nord CE 4 still delivers decent results, especially in daylight conditions. Portrait shots are detailed, and the selfie camera captures accurate skin tones. Overall, if you are in the market for a reliable smartphone that offers good performance, long battery life, and a decent camera without breaking the bank, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 is definitely worth considering.

Priced at Rs 24,999 onwards, the OnePlus Nord CE4 delivers good performance, lasting battery life, and blazing-fast charging speeds. Boasting a decent display quality and an impressive speaker system, the smartphone emerges as a compelling choice for individuals seeking a performance-oriented device without exceeding their budget. However, its camera performance falls short in comparison to some of its counterparts that might not appeal to photography enthusiasts. Despite flaws, the Nord CE4 makes a solid contender in the mid-range smartphone market, offering a well-rounded package of features and functionality.

The OnePlus Nord CE 4 is a solid upgrade when compared to its predecessor the Nord CE3. It gets users a fresh design with an IP rating, a more powerful processor, decent camera performance and a bigger battery with faster charging. However when compared to the current competition, its pricing is worrisome. This is mainly because its only standout feature seems to be battery life and fast charging. I really wished that it performed better in the camera department. At the same price point, there's devices like the Poco X6 Pro (Review) which offers similar camera performance but is a lot better when it comes to gaming and raw performance, which is something the Nord's target audience (youth) will desire. There's also the Motorola Edge 40 (Review) which offers good performance, near-stock software experience, quality cameras, wireless charging and an IP68 rating at a now discounted Rs. 26,999.

The Nord CE4 is a somewhat unexciting launch from OnePlus. The truly standout feature is the 100W charging, which is mind-bendingly quick. The only other thing that stuck out to us was the quality of the main camera, which was impressive. That aside, the phone does little to win you over. It's mostly fine in every other area but has some notable issues that hold it back. The design could have been more interesting if the back didn't feel so plasticky. The display could have been better if it was brighter or better calibrated. The software experience would have been nicer if it wasn't kneecapped by a two major update policy. The Nord CE4 starts at INR 24,999. Considering the competition, such as the newly launched Nothing Phone (2a), the CE4 doesn't do enough to establish its dominance. If charging speed is your biggest criterion then the Nord CE4 might be the pick but if you value design, display, and software then the Phone (2a) is the superior choice.

OnePlus has been delivering its so-called ‘Core Experience' for years with its Nord CE series of phones. While this experience ensured a smooth and lag-free software experience for the most part, it often fell short in other areas. Despite offering an average camera for years, it still made sense as an overall package. But with some rather competitive smartphones like the Realme 12 Pro+ sliding into this sub Rs. 30,000 segment, how can OnePlus keep its CE relevant? Some of these answers may be available with its newest Nord CE 4.

There’s no denying that the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite takes inspiration from the Nord CE4. However, the shortcomings in the hardware, camera, and processing are noticeable. Still, it’s a far better option than the Nord CE3 Lite in compassion. Surprisingly, Oneplus has also released an exclusive variety for Indian smartphones. You can draw the parallels with both devices since they feature almost identical specs, except for battery and storage. The positive aspect would undoubtedly be the OLED panel which brings immersive colors compared to the LCD panel. The overall screen resolution, brightness, refresh rate, and other display perks are enhanced. Alongside this, the phone supports decent battery performance and fast charging.

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite comes at a starting price of Rs.19999 and it offers several advanced features with an AMOLED display, Sony sensor, 5500mAh battery, and others making it a great deal. However, a lack of upgrades in performance may affect the buyer's choice. Therefore, if you want a decent viewing experience and camera quality you can consider buying a OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. However, there are other competitors in the market including CMF Phone 1, Realme P1, and others offering better performance.

It’s clear to see where OnePlus pulled back on the Nord 4 and Nord CE 4 to serve up the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. The fact that the user experience remains mostly unchanged from the company’s more premium phones, the switch to an OLED screen and the great battery life are all welcome inclusions for this entry, but this does truly feel like the last generation of Lite able to get away with using that ageing Snapdragon 695 processor, and the software promise isn’t particularly environmentally friendly; both of which detract from the overall package. The same amount of money could instead buy you even more ambitious mid-rangers, like the Poco X6 Pro (£279 on Amazon at the time of writing), with twice the storage and an additional year’s support on both the OS and security fronts. Not to mention more premium devices that have had time to fall in price, such as the Google Pixel 8a and even the iPhone 13.

While some takeaways go in OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite’s favour, most don’t. It has a brilliant display to watch shows, and while it is also great for games, the processor holds the phone back when you have to play graphics-intensive games. That is a shame because the phone is not hefty and has good software customisations for gaming. Performance-oriented customers may look for other options in this segment, such as the iQOO Z9 or even the Nothing Phone 2a for a few extra rupees. However, its cameras can easily appeal to casual photographers and those who want a phone to click Instagram-able photos. Software may not be entirely clean like Nothing OS, but it is snappy and full of nifty features. And you cannot go wrong with the phone’s battery backup at this price.

You’re basically getting what you pay for with the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite, just like with its predecessor and basically the entirety of the Nord line. So you won’t pick up the CE 4 Lite and feel cheated: its screen, speed, battery life and camera prowess all roughly fit what you should be expecting given its price tag. However if you have a budget that’ll stretch a little higher, know that you will be able to buy a better phone without having to shell out that much more cash.

The Nord CE4 Lite could have been an exciting midrange phone with an upgraded display and main camera. However, it will face tough competition, especially with OnePlus’ decision to use a dated Snapdragon 695 chip when they could have opted for other processors like the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.

Including a solid AMOLED display for the same price as its predecessor is definitely a tick in the positives column for the Nord CE 4 Lite. I also appreciate the extra internal storage, higher-capacity microSD card support, improved battery life and faster charging. My problem is that the outdated processor delivers sluggish performance and the camera suite is a combination of no improvements and downgrades. If you’re happy to forgo the expansive storage and can push your budget a little higher, I’d recommend going for the Google Pixel 7a instead. The massive performance jumps and exceptional cameras more than make up for the 90Hz display and lower storage capacity. Otherwise, you can get a 120Hz display and expandable storage from the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G, as well as better performance and a stronger main camera. Either way, I don’t recommend you settle for the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite.

The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G has a great screen, an improved main camera, and very strong battery life at a reasonable price. If you don’t want to spend a huge amount of money on a smartphone but still want something half-decent, then OnePlus has always been a good brand to rely on. The Nord CE4 Lite gives you a decent amount for your buck. You get a great screen, solid battery life, a fun design and a camera, which although limited, performs well in what it can do. It has just one selectable camera, but it’s a pretty good one, with its Sony 50MP sensor. It produces good images in bright light, so if your primary use for a smartphone camera is holiday snaps and day-to-day shots then you should be more than satisfied.

It faces a fair bit of competition, but the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is the perfect device for those who are looking for a phone for everyday tasks with terrific battery life. The Snapdragon 695 chip might not be a gaming monster, but is a very efficient worker and works very smoothly in combination with OnePlus’ OxygenOS and those 8GB of RAM. OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G delivers plenty of bang for your buck. I wouldn’t call €329 budget-priced but it’s close enough to that market. I’d instead call it the lower-mid-price segment. The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite comes with some impressive features for its price range. However, it does have some drawbacks. The first is its Snapdragon 695 5G processor which was launched in 2021 limiting it to an extent when it comes to demanding tasks. Also, for some the display brightness may seem insufficient. The photography is okay in daylight, but it’s not a camera phone. So, OnePlus has launched another Nord 4 series phone under ₹20,000. The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite may seem modest on paper, especially compared to last year’s Nord CE3 Lite, there’s a lot to like about this phone once you hold it in your hand. I found its flat-edge design appealing, and the new AMOLED display offers a much more refined viewing experience. The speakers are loud, and there’s a 3.5mm audio jack to complement the display experience. Its battery backup is solid, though the charging speed is decent at best. The cameras perform reliably in ample light, but low-light photography needs improvement.

The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is a notable improvement over its predecessor in many ways. The new AMOLED display looks and works significantly better. The camera gets a small but appreciable improvement for stills and especially for video with stabilization. The battery life is better as is the ingress protection. And we really cannot emphasize enough how nice the blue looks in person. However, it is disappointing that OnePlus chose to go with the same chipset that was found on the previous two generations. While everyday performance is still good, other aspects of the device such as video playback resolution and camera features and performance tend to suffer. There's also no ultra-wide camera, something that has become a basic requirement these days.

Let's summarise: The Nord CE4 Lite has a lot to offer. It has a really good AMOLED display, a big battery with fast charging, good speakers, and even a capable camera. The processor gets the job done, though it has not been upgraded. Design is a subjective part. If you like a boxy design, then you will appreciate the CE4 Lite. OnePlus also offers some good colour options. But it has a downside too. The boxy design feels a bit dated and gives the illusion of the phone being bulky, even though the Nord CE4 Lite is lightweight. I would have absolutely loved the CE4 Lite if it had come packed with an upgraded chipset, or if older then a more powerful Series 7 Snapdragon. Because the rest of the phone is well-put together package that gives users not spending more than Rs 20,000 on their phone the kind of experience which is polished and reliable.

The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite brings upgrades over its predecessor (in terms of the display and primary rear camera) but it faces stiff competition in the under Rs. 20,000 segment, from other brands as well as its own models that offer better camera performance or a more powerful chipset. The company's older OnePlus Nord CE 3 has a more powerful processor and frequently drops under the Rs. 20,000 mark on Amazon. As a result, it's hard to recommend the Nord CE 4 Lite, unless you're specifically looking to purchase a budget smartphone from OnePlus. There are several alternatives to the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite in the same price bracket.

Commentaire
OnePlus:
