Si vous cherchez un smartphone puissant, voire très puissant, à un prix abordable, le Z70 Ultra de Nubia est fait pour vous. Son Snapdragon 8 Elite fait tourner sans encombre tout type d’applications ou de jeux exigeants en ressources système. Son écran est tout aussi remarquable et l’on apprécie l’absence de perforation, la caméra frontale étant logée sous la dalle OLED. Malgré une batterie surdimensionnée, l’autonomie reste correcte, sans plus, Nubia n’ayant manifestement pas cherché à optimiser la consommation électrique. La surcouche Nebula AIOS est d’une légèreté appréciable, même si elle fait la part belle aux erreurs de traduction et aux fautes de grammaire. Manifestement, la traduction automatique utilisée par Nubia pour la version française n’est pas la plus performante qui soit.

Android, les applications et les jeux vidéo gourmands ne sont que des amuse-bouches pour ce mobile. La partie photo, bien qu'encore imparfaite, est de très bon niveau pour un produit de ce prix. Il se rapproche de certains haut de gamme en journée, mais reste en retrait de nuit. Cependant, dans sa catégorie de prix, il est l'un des leaders. Finalement, seules les mises à jour, l'autonomie et une chauffe parfois excessive viennent ternir le tableau.

It still has an all-screen AMOLED with no visible cutout, and it's unique enough to give the device a definite edge. The software is similarly clean and devoid of bloatware, and you get one of the most fluidic interfaces available today — along with terrific gaming performance. The bigger battery lasts longer as well, and there's IP68 and IP69 ingress protection. The cameras don't quite measure up to mainstream Chinese brands, but other than that, there isn't much to fault with the Z70 Ultra — it is a good choice if you need top-tier hardware.

Sure, with heavyweight hitters like the Vivo X200 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra on the horizon next year (though their availability outside of China can’t be counted on), you could argue that it’s worth waiting for even better across-the-board camera performance.

Nubia touts the Z70 Ultra as the greatest mobile photography device ever made thus far, and in many respects, they're not wrong. If you love photos, don't want a DSLR, and don't care about things like software features or ecosystem, then yes. You should absolutely buy this device. At $729 for the base model, it is a steal, and I feel it is worth every penny for the cameras alone, especially given that comparable camera-led phones from the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo don't launch in the US at all. But if you're looking for something a little more, something that handles gaming like a champ, syncs with an ecosystem of connected devices, or is jam-packed with great software, then look elsewhere. If you love photos, don't want a DSLR, and don't care about things like software features or ecosystem, then yes. You should absolutely buy this device. At $729 for the base model, it is a steal, and I feel it is worth every penny for the cameras alone, especially given that comparable camera-led phones from the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo don't launch in the US at all. But if you're looking for something a little more, something that handles gaming like a champ, syncs with an ecosystem of connected devices, or is jam-packed with great software, then look elsewhere. The Nubia Z70 Ultra is no Pixel 9 or Galaxy S24 Ultra.

It improves on the previous generation by adding a close focusing capability to its telephoto camera but is ultimately led down by interface oddities and suboptimal processing. Two sides to another coin, the visually pleasing notchless display means less than ideal selfies, though we're a lot more on board with this particular pro-con balance. A few more compromises can be spotted here or there. Battery may be good enough, but the latest competitors have been setting the bar higher. Missing eSIM support limits the options for cheap data when in roaming, while some display feature omissions make the nubia stand out in a bad way.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Unité graphique intégrée dans le SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite pour smartphones avec trois tranches de 1,1 GHz chacune. Cache partagé intégré de 12 Mo pour les trois tranches. Selon Qualcomm, 40% plus rapide que la génération précédente (Adreno 750).
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
