Otherwise you get the same experience as the Moto G7. Read our review for the full experience! This also includes the strange slow WiFi issue. But with the G7 Power, you get a thick, solid-feeling phone that will last you many days with normal use. The battery life is truly something to behold, even if you’re not a fan of budget phones. If you can handle a 720p display and a mediocre camera, you should grab one of these. Even if it’s just a backup.

The G7 Power is not a flashy device. For the most part, it's a fine option for a cheap phone, with performance that's serviceable (so long as you don't game) and a software experience and selection of features that are among the finest in its class.

The G7 Power isn’t a bad phone and as I said earlier, had I not recently used the G7 which was only $50 more in cost – it would probably have rated far higher for me. The problem is that Motorola have proven that they can do far better than this on the camera and screen which is a little disappointing.

For my money, I'd skip the regular G7's frivolous features, save $50 and go for the G7 Power. The peace of mind of having a phone that lasts an eternity is worth it. While the Nokia 7.1 offers a more premium design and better camera if you have more to spend, anyone chiefly concerned about battery life and looking for a device under $300 needn't look further than the G7 Power.

Both the G7 and the G7 Power offer great devices for Moto to add to its lineup for 2019. However, they target a need for two different people depending on their preference. Do you want a sleeker design with slightly better internals, screen, and camera? Then you should buy the G7 standard.

To me, the G7 Power really feels like the Moto G7 to get. Its battery life is incredible and worth the cost-cutting that Motorola did elsewhere. When you’ve got a $250 phone that’s plenty good at a smartphone’s core duties and can handily outlast a Galaxy S10 Plus or iPhone XR, that’s pretty special.

Buy it. The Moto G7 Power isn't pretty, but it's powerful enough and has superior battery life. Those looking for a more-premium midrange handset should consider Nokia's 7.1, but if all you need is a long-lasting smartphone under $300, this is your best bet.

The Moto G7 and Moto G7 Power offer excellent value. You're getting a great design, modern features, and clean and fast software. For the price, Motorola elegantly balances performance and features without making too many compromises. The Moto G7 will give you the best that Motorola has to offer in the G7 series while the Moto G7 Power focuses on extended battery life.

If the Moto G7 Power was the only device to come out from the G7 series, maybe along with the G7 Play, I'd say it's a solid device. But sadly, it sits aside the G7, which only costs $50 more. The Moto G7 is more stylish, has more RAM, has a better camera, has a better display, has better audio, and more. Motorola also still sells the Moto G6, which has a 1080p display, along with a 64GB storage and 4GB RAM variant, and that only costs $199.

Earlier this month, I reviewed the Moto G7, and once again it sets the bar for the mid-range. But Motorola launched a variety of G7 devices, and now I've got my hands on the Moto G7 Power.

While its camera and design won't blow away users of high-end phones, the Moto G7 Power's impressive battery size and specs make it a compelling option for users on a budget. Not all its features are immediately intuitive, which holds the phone back from greatness.

Overall, Moto is not doing anything extraordinary, but it does not need to: the new Moto phones are an evolution in terms of design with thinner bezels and more stylish looks, they are faster with the Snapdragon 6xx series of chips, and they work reliably, with a clean and likeable interface.

The Moto G7 Power has a lot of strings to its bow. It sits at the affordable end of the Android spectrum, providing unbeatable battery power at a great price point. There's a big display, expandable storage, bloat-free software, and enough power to attack most things - even if you need to let the settings slide.

Obviously, the Moto G7 Power isn't the most powerful smartphone in its price bracket. Motorola is no Xiaomi or Realme, so we never really expected for Moto to match their budget offers. And yet, the Power comes very close, which is quite the surprise.

Offering a near-unskinned version of Android, solid specs for the money and a giant 5000mAh cell, the Moto G7 Power may not be cutting-edge, or the most alluring phone on the market. However, if it can deliver on Motorola’s battery claims then it could be one of the best sub-£200 phones to arrive this year.

The Moto G7 Power is a decent budget phone with a colossal 5,000mAh battery, a feature that is far and away the most exciting thing about the phone.

Commentaire
Qualcomm Adreno 506:
