My final evaluation of Motorola Moto G60s probably won't surprise you. It has its good and bad sides, but mediocrity dominates. The housing and hardware parameters are average, and the photos give way to more expensive mediums, not to mention flagships. Despite my sentiment towards Motorola, I would not recommend this model as a device of first choice. If an operator offers you Moto G60s cheaper or for free, this might be a worthwhile proposition. But if you are ready to spend 229 euros on the phone, then I suggest you look for a more attractive alternative - you will surely find something.

The Moto G60S isn’t one of this great series’s most dynamic releases. It doesn’t have 5G, nor a chart-topping camera or notable processor. However, it does largely ace the “low maintenance” angle that has always been a Moto draw for me. Its software is quirk-free, battery life is solid, if not Moto’s best, and charging speed is excellent. The large screen is great for casual gaming and video, too – although this isn’t the best 4G gaming phone you can get for your money. It’s a sound option, though, particularly if you have owned a Motorola budget phone before and like how they operate. But there are more exciting alternatives available from companies such as Xiaomi and Realme.

The Moto G60s hardly reinvents the wheel with regards to Motorola phones, but it does impress in several key areas. Battery life from the 5000mAh cell is solid, while the 50W adapter in the box makes charging a breeze. The software experience is excellent (despite being based on Android 11) I really enjoyed using the 120Hz display. However, there are other key pillars of a great phone where the Moto G60s doesn’t quite hit the mark. Performance isn’t great for anything more than basic usage and the cameras are unreliable. With no 5G and a rather cheap build, you’ll have to be content with plenty of compromises. That’s to be expected at this price point to some extent, but several other budget phones deliver more of what the average person is looking for. As such, it’s difficult to recommend the G60s unless you’re only considering Motorola handsets.

The Moto G60S is an affordable Android phone with a big screen and 4G mobile internet. If you want 5G, move on. However, at the time of release you tend to have to put up with compromises elsewhere if you want 5G on a budget. The Moto G60S avoids most of these. It has a very large, sharp screen, a capable chipset and lots of storage, at 128GB. We are also big fans of its charger, which gets you to 76% in a half-hour and is pretty much the only charger you need for your mobile devices, as it has both USB-A and USB-C slots. The Motorola Moto G60S is very much a generalist, though, and is perhaps not the most exciting Android you can buy for around its cost of $290 / £219 / AU$329. Its gaming performance is solid, but certainly not the best you can get at this level. Similarly, while the Moto G60S's camera can produce good results, its slightly lazy HDR processing often leaves you with dull-looking images.

Motorola released another decent budget smartphone. The device is large, heavy and thick, but it has a 5000mAh battery and a 6.8-inch screen with excellent color reproduction and 120Hz refresh rate. Don't forget about fast 50 W charging (compatible power supply included). The Moto G60s is also worth praising for its 3.5mm minijack, microSD card slot, clean and well-optimized Android.

The Motorola G60s does a lot of things right, and won’t leave you crying over your empty wallet. It’s one of the cheapest phones to feature a 120Hz refresh rate display, and even though it’s of the LCD variety, the screen is bright, crisp, and impressively color-accurate. Yes, the phone has a plastic unibody but also sports a nice texture on the back that not only looks cool but keeps fingerprints at bay. The Moto G60s is relatively light for its size, and the battery life is amazing in day-to-day use. Plus you get a huge 50W fast charger in the retail box.

Packed with good features, the Motorola Moto G60s smartphone loses value when it comes to faster performance. With a less standard chipset and storage capacity constraint, gamers should stay away from the Moto G60s phone. Also, the absence of 5G support makes this phone a confusing choice. Expectations were higher, but this phone couldn’t meet that. It is difficult to imagine how the company could come up with a phone like that when they’ve released a better one on a low budget. If you are looking for an alternative option, it is recommended that you check out the Mi 11X 5G smartphone with better specs or you can check out our budget 5G smartphones section to explore more.

Commentaire
ARM Mali-G76 MP4:
