80% Motorola Edge 50 review

The Motorola Edge 50 is a capable midranger with its strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, the drawbacks are hard to overlook - relatively low raw performance for the price and short battery life. On the other hand, the Edge 50 provides dependable camera performance, good display, fast charging, wireless charging, and exceptional design. It's up to you to decide whether these traits can make up for the unimpressive battery life and the average performance.

63% Motorola Edge 50 Review: A mid-range contender with a few too many compromises
Source: Phone Arena Anglais EN→FR
The Motorola Edge 50 doesn't have the best camera system for the price, nor does it have the best performance. It's speakers produce quite lackluster audio and its battery life is not the most reliable. So, for the most part, we think the alternatives like the Pixel 8a and the Galaxy A55 are better in those regards. Even among its other phone models from this year, Motorola has much better options. For example, the Edge 50 Neo comes with very similar specs, but it does not have the weird camera stabilization issue and costs €100 less. Or you could go the other rout and pay €100 more for the Edge 50 Pro, which has a much faster chipset and a better main camera.

85% Motorola Edge 50 review: Look afar with this camera phone

The Motorola Edge 50 is a solid mid-range handset with excellent screen quality and all-day battery life, which ventures into premium territory when it comes to elegant design. It’s not a heavy-hitter when it comes to grunt, but the solid camera performance with the benefit of 3x optical zoom might win over those looking for a decent mid-range Android all-rounder.

Motorola Edge 50 and Edge 50 Neo hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena Anglais EN→FR
Motorola's Edge lineup has a strong presence in key markets around the world and offering a wide variety of phones with diverse feature sets is a big part of the reason why. This year's Edge 50 lineup is quite numerous, but the Neo seems like it has every chance of becoming the star of the family. It's the most compact, the second most affordable and yet it doesn't sacrifice virtually anything in terms of camera capabilities or screen quality. The IP68 certification and wireless charging are also still here, leaving the chipset as the only potential weak point. But without running our full sets of tests, it's too early to tell if the Neo and the vanilla are worth recommending. Still, we remain very optimistic about their prospects as we part ways and we hope to be able to share more about them in the coming weeks.

70% Motorola Edge 50 made me realise flagship smartphone experience need not cost a lot
Source: The Indian Express Anglais EN→FR
The Motorola Edge 50 is a near-perfect smartphone priced under Rs 30,000, except for its performance. Some of the popular phones in this class are almost twice as fast. However, they don’t offer as many features as the Edge 50. If you are a non-gamer and don’t really care about performance, but want a premium-looking smartphone with a solid set of features, the Edge 50 is a great pick.

75% Motorola Edge 50 review: a well-rounded mid-ranger
Source: 91mobiles Anglais EN→FR
While the Motorola Edge 50 comes across as a feature-rich smartphone, it doesn’t cater to the needs of every user. It leaves out power-hungry users who like to game day in and day out on their smartphones. The Motorola Edge 50 is better suited for users with regular usage, which involves streaming shows and movies, browsing, scrolling through social media, taking good photos in daylight, and occasional gaming. All these, combined with a stylish design, military-grade durability, and features such as quick wired charging, wireless charging capabilities, and AI-backed software, make Motorola Edge 50 stand out as a solid choice for those seeking a well-rounded device at a competitive price.

68% Motorola Edge 50 Review: Premium look, limited power
Source: Think Digit Anglais EN→FR
The Motorola Edge 50 makes a strong case for itself in the sub-₹30K market. Its premium design, durable build, and impressive HDR10+ display make it a strong contender in its price range. While the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition may not satisfy hardcore gamers, it handles daily tasks with ease and offers a smooth user experience. Hello UI is a notable highlight, providing a clean and customisable interface without unnecessary bloatware. Motorola has unveiled the Motorola Edge 50, aiming to make a splash in the sub-30K mid-range smartphone market. This new addition to the Edge 50 series offers a mix of premium features and a robust build at an appealing price. With its sleek design, capable cameras, and high-end features, the Moto Edge 50 carries forward the Edge 50 family’s signature style.

Motorola Edge (2024) Smartphone Review
Source: OI Spice Tech News Anglais EN→FR
The Motorola Edge Gen 5, or to be precise, Motorola Edge (2024) is an exceptional mid-range smartphone. But is the phone able to justify the price point? Well, the Edge 2024 is undoubtedly a great update from last year’s Edge 2023 phone. You are getting almost everything if you are a casual user. The smartphone looks expensive compared to the price. Yet, it might not be the first choice for gamers and photography enthusiasts. However, a certain level of gaming and camera results is achievable with the hardware and software combination. But if you are looking for a value-for-money deal right now, then you should check out the Google Pixel 8A instead. It will bring an impeccable configuration of display, battery, beautiful camera, and performance.

Commentaire
