Nous pourrions nous attarder sur les quelques défauts du nouvel ultraportable XXL de Lenovo, mais cela reviendrait à passer à côté du sujet. Ce que nous propose le constructeur chinois, en dépit de quelques maladresses, n'est autre qu'une très bonne machine, élégante, polyvalente… et vendue qui plus est au bon prix. En dépit de performances multi-core en net retrait (Lunar Lake oblige) et d'un écran IPS que l'on aurait voulu plus contrasté, le Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Gen 9 remplit tous les critères pour s'imposer comme une figure majeure dans son segment. L'engin chauffe peu, embarque un grand écran 2,8K et 120 Hz parfaitement calibré, un processeur diablement efficace sur le plan graphique, et l'un des meilleurs claviers actuellement disponibles.

Cet ordinateur portable s'avère efficace pour les tâches quotidiennes, avec des performances intéressantes en navigation web ou avec les applications de bureautique. Il pourra en revanche parfois montrer ses limites dans les logiciels multi-threadés les plus lourds. La partie graphique, bien qu'intégrée, permet de jouer à des jeux occasionnels, mais n'est pas adaptée aux titres plus exigeants. Because this is a laptop that is within touching distance of greatness and the reasons it falls short are so easily fixed. It’s irksome to see Lenovo trip over such a low hurdle. Let’s get the good points out of the way first: the battery life is brilliant, the keyboard excellent, the display bright, smooth, colourful and colour-accurate. The laptop itself is solid, well-made and not unpleasant to look at. The speaker system is very good too. But, the webcam is mediocre, the power button is in a daft place and you don’t get Windows Studio Effects.

But so many other laptops have come across my desk, including a few from Lenovo, that are just as good or better. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice laptop. But something like the Yoga Slim 7x is slightly better and more unique, and I was expecting more from this laptop. Perhaps I set the bar too high? I wouldn’t tell you not to buy it if it fits your needs. It’s a capable laptop, overall.

The Yoga Slim 7 (Gen 9, 15ILL9) is one of the best Copilot+ PCs we’ve tested. It has one significant advantage over the Snapdragon-based machines and that’s the seamless compatibility with all apps and games. The battery life is very long, especially given the high-res screen. The autonomous work on a single charge is enough for 13 hours of videos. Yep, the Lunar Lake chips aren’t thirsty at all. The Intel Evo “magic” also helps in this scenario. The keyboard is suitable for long hours of typing and the touchpad is accurate – nice! The port selection is fine for a thin machine – two Thunderbolt 4s alongside a Type-A port for better compatibility with external mice, keyboards, HDDs, etc. The machine feels blazing fast for work.

It has one significant advantage over the Snapdragon-based machines and that’s the seamless compatibility with all apps and games. The battery life is very long, especially given the high-res screen. The autonomous work on a single charge is enough for 13 hours of videos. Yep, the Lunar Lake chips aren’t thirsty at all. The Intel Evo “magic” also helps in this scenario. The keyboard is suitable for long hours of typing and the touchpad is accurate – nice! The port selection is fine for a thin machine – two Thunderbolt 4s alongside a Type-A port for better compatibility with external mice, keyboards, HDDs, etc. The machine feels blazing fast for work.

La 140V possède 8 cœurs d'architecture Xe² fonctionnant jusqu'à 2 050 MHz et 8 unités de ray tracing ; elle est compatible avec DirectX 12 Ultimate et prend également en charge tous les codecs vidéo modernes. Si l'on en croit les récentes fuites de résultats de tests, ses performances de jeu devraient être légèrement supérieures à celles de la MX570 de GeForce.
Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.
