100% Lenovo IdeaPad Duet review: The little Chromebook hybrid tablet that could
Source: Expert Reviews Anglais EN→FR
After the failure of the Chromebook Pixel, it looked like the whole concept of the Chrome OS tablet was dead. Yet with its style, stamina and all-round usability, the IdeaPad Duet turns this around. We can forgive the poor performance in the face of how effectively it manages everything else, and it’s only the lack of size that makes it impractical for more demanding users. If you’re looking for a versatile Chrome OS all-rounder that can handle Android apps, look no further.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet review: Practically a steal
Source: Android Authority Anglais EN→FR
For just $249 (64GB), the Lenovo Chromebook Duet is practically a steal. Most Chromebooks in the sub-$300 space are clunky 14-inchers that offer little in the way of flexibility. The Duet is more flexible and more affordable than much of the competition, and that makes it a powerful foe. It’s not perfect. The keyboard may simply be too small for some, and performance can be hit or miss, depending on what you’re doing. It’s not entirely stable on your lap, though it works well on a table or desk. And some may simply not be down with Chrome OS as a tablet user interface. I think these weaknesses are worth overlooking. On the plus side, the Duet offers a fine display, class-leading battery life, and a compact and portable form factor that converts from laptop to tablet on a whim. Most importantly, it’s affordable. Even the $299 (128GB) version is priced competitively. It costs less than an entry-level iPad — and the keyboard is included.

Source: Digital Trends Anglais EN→FR
The Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3 is a fantastic value at $300, particularly given that the folio kickstand and detachable keyboard are included. And it’s not just about the price — this little Chrome OS tablet can handle a surprising range of tasks, falling short of only the most demanding productivity and creative workflows. You’ll spend hundreds of dollars more for a similar setup that won’t gain you much additional functionality. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3 is the best budget Chrome OS tablet (a little) money can buy.

Lenovo brands the Lenovo Duet as a device that can do it all: it can work hard when you need it but gets out of the way when you just want to play games or watch movies. In my experience, I'm not sure how many of us would want to use a 10.1-inch screen as our primary computer, but the Duet can hack it for my work — answering emails, research, writing, and photo editing — and I bet it can hack it for yours, too. Where the Duet really shines is as a companion device, as a tablet that you can use while the kids are hogging the family computer or you're in the backyard away from your desktop. The Duet is a battery-sipping beauty that may not be the sleekest or shiniest tablet around, but it's certainly the most practical tablet out there. Even as we head into 2022, that's exactly what we need. Chrome OS offers you a desktop-grade experience when you need to VPN into work for a quick report or knock out a few dozen emails while you wait for everyone to assemble for movie night, and it offers up battery life that stands out even among Chromebooks.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook strikes the perfect balance between tablet portability and Chromebook utility, all while keeping the price ridiculously low - and somehow packing in a Lich King of a battery that simply refuses to die. Finally, it does all this for less than $300. As far as Chromebooks and 2-in-1 laptops go, this is the best value you're going to find in a portable device of its kind, hands down. It's the computer that last decade's netbooks promised to be - but couldn't quite become - while taking the Chromebook to its next logical step.

Source: Android Guys Anglais EN→FR
I really enjoyed my time with the Duet. It scratches that itch of quick productivity, but it also delivers a good second screen experience when sitting on the couch or when my daughter wants to watch something while we're out at dinner. It generally lives either in my work bag, where I do not even notice its presence, or in the kitchen where I use it almost every time I walk in to make some food. I'm never going to try and game on this thing nor do I expect to do heavy video editing. That's just not what it's designed to do. At less than $300, I don't think you're going to find much better than this on the market in the next year or so.

This Lenovo Chromebook Duet review shows why it should garner deserved attention for its value proposition, giving you a 2-in-1 with a solid screen and long endurance for less than the iPad or Surface Go 2 cost, before their keyboards. If only its keyboard weren't so cramped and its hinge felt a bit more solid. Those who opt for the Surface Go 2 for its faster performance and superior 2-in-1 design, you'll be dropping about an hour of battery life and paying at least $221 more after throwing in the Type Cover keyboard. But for families looking for a device that everyone can use, from kids watching YouTube to parents drafting emails, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet is a compelling option.

Google might have given up on the idea of a Chrome OS tablet with the demise of the Pixel Slate, but that hasn’t stopped Lenovo. The IdeaPad Duet is a 10.1in tablet running Chrome OS and supplied with a rear cover that doubles as a fold-out stand, plus a magnetic clip-on keyboard that instantly transforms it into a productivity device. Take a look at the price and you’ll expect the result to be a disaster, but here’s the surprise: while far from perfect, the IdeaPad Duet turns out to be a little wonder.

There’s a lot to like with the Lenovo Duet Chromebook: it is well-priced, has a good screen and works well as a tablet. I would recommend the Duet as a buy for anyone who wants to cautiously move to ChromeOS, a secondary device, an in-a-pinch substitute or a an additional screen in this new work-from-home reality. I don’t think the current Duet is ready to take on heavy workloads just yet, but if Lenovo keeps at it, the Duet 2 might be in the conversation with iPad Pro, Galaxy Tabs, and Surface Pros with just a few tweaks. As someone who has made use of a Surface Go for a long time (I used it at MWC last year even) I love the smaller, more portable form factor. I don’t mind a smaller keyboard — I’m not a full touch-typer anyway so it did not fuss me too much. I would have liked the keyboard to be backlit though but that of course depends on where and when you use it yourself.

Commentaire

ARM Mali-G72 MP3:
