The LG V30+ fits in well to the super-premium smartphone market and only photography enthusiasts will not be happy with it. However, the price hike to reach this market tier is exponential and tends to be inversely-proportional to value. The LG-manufactured Google Pixel 2 can be had for almost $200 less while a lower-specified Samsung Galaxy S9 can be had for the same price. However, the real issue is that LG’s older G6 offers similar functionality and a better camera for one-quarter of the price nowadays (albeit in a less-refined package). So, with the LG V30+, you’re paying much more for form than function and, at this price, it should be perfect.

LG has definitely made the best flagship phone that excel in camera department by being capable of capturing RAW videos and DAC support. Of course, it also has its own set of flaws including the average front camera. But, with the aggressive pricing, it is the definitely a great phone.

And Life is not all Good there. Those with deeper pockets will be tempted by the more expensive competitors which the V30+ does not really beat, while those on a tighter budget will not be able to see it offering significantly more bang for their bucks than the Budget flagship fleet.

The LG V30+ is an excellent device that has a premium build, loads of power, a different take on cameras, and is an audiophile’s dream that merits a look if you’re in the market for a flagship phone. The problem is that the delayed release in the Philippines may hurt it from getting stellar sales given the new devices bound to be released next month at MWC 2018, plus the competition it’s facing with the current crop of top-end devices.

The LG V30+ is a well priced, feature packed handset that will make the majority of users happy. At $1,199 RRP it's a great buy. There's definitely movement on that price if you look around though, so put the effort in and shop around and you'll get a bargain.

The LG G6 rebooted LG’s direction to something more concrete and the LG V30+ cemented that focus into something more compelling and truly desirable. It’s got a simple yet beautiful and elegant design, solid performance and nice pair of cameras. It took everything that is good from the LG G6 and made it great.

With tons of storage and powerful music capabilities, the LG V30+ is the ultimate phone for audiophiles, and one of only two phones capable of reaching the fastest speeds on Sprint.

LG’s new V30+ is its uber flagship where it gets to show off all it can do. To that end, it ticks all the flagship boxes, and then some making it a solid contender for the best flagship of the year.

The LG V30 is one of our favorite phones, because its wide-angle camera offers a very different perspective on the world than the single or 2x cameras you find on other smartphones. If you're trying to capture a whole stage, a whole performance, or a whole field, the V30 is the high-end smartphone for you.

Overall, it's clear that LG has managed to improve by leaps and bounds this year, first with the G6 and now with the V30+. It looks phenomenally good and will appeal to people who love having a lot of features to play around with. Of course, there are still rough edges to be worked on, mostly in terms of the user experience. There's no point in having a beautiful phone with an immersive display if that screen itself is flawed. Similarly, having dozens of camera modes and tool should be secondary to the actual output quality. This is exactly the kind of device that looks dazzling at first glance and has an impressive spec sheet, but really needs some time spent with it to uncover its true nature.

After having reviewed the best phones of this year, LG V30+ seems no slouch. Of course, it has its own hits and misses, but it will appeal to both kinds of customers who are looking for a stylish accessory or just a high-end device, without having a budget of a Note 8 or Google Pixel 2 XL. It’s easily one of the best phones LG has made so far.

The V30+ is a phone for people who want to embrace the future, but aren't ready yet to completely give up the past: it's one of the few phones around with both modern touches like an all-screen design, dual rear cameras and an HDR display, and legacy features like a headphone jack and expandable storage. The V30+ is still a good phone, it's just not a great phone.

The V30+ is a premium phone with premium specs but at a very attractive price. The design is great, the performance is well-rounded, the rear camera does some unusual things, the quad DAC is a must have if you're an audiophile, the battery life is nothing short of phenomenal: the LG V30+ has it all. Yes, the screen's shabby and LG's sofware is far from ideal, but then, when you consider the whole package: the V30+ makes a lot of sense. Maybe not so much at Rs 50,000 but under Rs 45,000 the V30+ definitely deserves your attention.

Unlike in other countries, LG isn’t launching the non-plus V30 here. The only differences between the two models are that the lower-end version has 64GB of storage and ships without high-quality earphones. Overall, the LG V30+ looks like it could be a solid competitor in the high-end space. Stay tuned to Gadgets 360 for our full review, which will cover the phone’s performance, cameras, battery life, and everything else in much more detail.

To conclude, the LG V30+ looks a pretty interesting device with some premium design along with some top-notch hardware. As for the competition is concerned, the smartphone will surely face a stiff competition from the likes of Apple iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy S8 and even OnePlus 5T. However, the at this price point the phone does looks like a deal to beat.

The LG V30+ is an impressive smartphone, but the LG still needs to work on the execution. The phone has excellent design, but it needs a better camera, better software and more dependable display to convince match up to other flagships. Yet, it's a phone that audiophiles should certainly consider amongst their options.

LG V30+ is a decent phone for those who want to buy something different. The overall performance, coupled with the wide angle camera and stunning display make this a phone that will make you stand out it a crowd. Also, the phone holds the promise of good user experience. But given the past experience with LG phones, it might be a good idea to hold on for a while and see if the price comes down a bit, making this a lot more desirable.

The V-series has always been LG’s playground for the more ambitious fare left out of their more-mainstream flagship G-series - and all the better for it. The V30 continues that trend in good form.

The LG V30+ offers up a compelling alternative to the offerings from heavyweights Apple and Samsung. The camera is very good as is the performance. We do wish the battery was a bit bigger but you can't have it all we suppose.

Is the LG V30+ a fair bit more than the LG G6 at R15 649? Yes it is, but for good reason. Each element of the device has been fine tuned to deliver a solid overall performance that the G6 just misses the mark on. When you're dropping that much money on a flagship phone, you don't want to have any doubts as to the capabilities of your device, and the V30+ is really without fault.

Don’t get me wrong. The LG V30+ is a good device. Again, the sound is out of this world. Actually, I’d put my head on a chopping block and say it is the best audio of any smartphone I’ve used. The battery power is strong and the phone does what it needs to do. But with a price tag of R15 000 it needs to do more. For me, it doesn’t. I really think this phone is better suited to a funky advertising agency exec who wants to watch Netflix on business flights to Nigeria and whip out his stylus to take notes during meetings. That lady – she’d dig this. It would be the perfect phone for her and the price would be justified. Because the V30+ is a phablet and offers everything she needs. But it is being pushed as a creator’s phone and this creator just doesn’t think it stacks up.

Usually vendors are coy about mentioning their competition, but LG is explicitly targeting potential Apple and Samsung purchasers with its new LG V30+ smart phone. Not just any old Apple, but the top of the heap Apple iPhone X. Not just any only Samsung, but the company’s new pride and joy, the Samsung Galaxy Note8.

Commentaire
Qualcomm Adreno 540:
