Celles et ceux qui me connaissent savent que j’apprécie les Pixel depuis plusieurs années. Cela ne m’empêche pas de me montrer critique dans mes tests publiés sur Presse-citron. Toutefois, cette année, j’ai bien du mal à me séparer de mon Pixel 9 Pro. Google semble enfin avoir trouvé sa recette parfaite du smartphone premium. Enfin presque. Un système de recharge rapide, un petit effort sur la vidéo et une puce un peu plus musclée pour le jeu ne feraient pas de mal. D’autant que la marque propose un suivi des mises à jour de sept ans ! Le Pixel 9 Pro m’a conquis comme aucun autre smartphone auparavant. J’ai retrouvé ce petit sentiment d’excitation avant de le recevoir, une sensation qui ne me quitte pas depuis que je l’utilise au quotidien.

Un domaine dans lequel il excelle grâce à une solide configuration, offrant des clichés à la fois riches et bien exposés. Si la puce Tensor G4 n’est pas tout à fait conçue pour rivaliser avec la Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 ou la récente A18 d’Apple, elle délivre des performances solides, surtout si l’on n’est pas particulièrement joueur.

Le Pixel 9 Pro répond à une demande de smartphones performants et compacts. Un segment longtemps occupé par Sony et que Google reprend à son compte avec brio. Le Pixel 9 Pro est un excellent appareil qui hérite de tous les atouts de son aîné, le 9 Pro XL, mais aussi de ses défauts et en ajoute un : l'autonomie. En réduisant la taille de son smartphone, Google ne réussit pas à en préserver la bonne autonomie. Elle est juste correcte ici. Ajoutons un peu de chauffe au niveau du SoC qui a tendance d'ailleurs à rapidement se brider, mais rien de nouveau. Une fois évacués les défauts, on peut s'attacher à ce qui nous fait aimer ce téléphone, à savoir son écran bien calibré et ses photos d'un naturel saisissant et d'une qualité époustouflante lorsque l'on enclenche le zoom x5 et même le zoom numérique au-delà.

Since I started using Android, I’ve been partial to Pixel phones, but Google hit a home run with the Pixel 9 Pro. This is the best way to experience Android, and the hardware is simply fantastic. The best part of the Pixel 9 Pro is its size. I’m a fan of smaller phones, and I love that Google is finally giving us a choice if we want the Pro model without compromises. I’ve been reaching for the Pixel 9 Pro over my iPhone 15 Pro and even prefer it to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra simply due to how compact it is. Combine that with the excellent construction, fun new camera design, and the pink color, and I’m a happy camper. While I’m not a massive fan of all the AI additions, I must admit that some are useful — like the Pixel Weather and Pixel Screenshots apps.

EN→FRSince I started using Android, I’ve been partial to Pixel phones, but Google hit a home run with the Pixel 9 Pro. This is the best way to experience Android, and the hardware is simply fantastic. The best part of the Pixel 9 Pro is its size. I’m a fan of smaller phones, and I love that Google is finally giving us a choice if we want the Pro model without compromises. I’ve been reaching for the Pixel 9 Pro over my iPhone 15 Pro and even prefer it to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra simply due to how compact it is. Combine that with the excellent construction, fun new camera design, and the pink color, and I’m a happy camper. While I’m not a massive fan of all the AI additions, I must admit that some are useful — like the Pixel Weather and Pixel Screenshots apps.

Pixel is once again $100 more than the previous year. Tensor is still slower than other competing processors and heats up more quickly than those, too. Google hasn't improved its display dimming rate as other companies have, and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is problematic for some people, too.

Build quality is solid; the same goes for audio and battery life. The camera setup is identical to that of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, which is a formidable accomplishment in itself. Admittedly, I’m a big fan of a compact flagship so I was already primed to prefer the Pixel 9 Pro to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. But the fact that all the XL has over this one is a bigger display and an extra couple of hours’ battery life cements my initial instinct that the compact Pixel 9 Pro is the Google phone to beat for this generation. The cameras are as exceptional as we’ve come to expect from Pixels, the display is vibrant, colour-accurate and incredibly bright and the Gemini AI features are plentiful and intuitive – even if I disagree on the necessity of some of them.

We’ve long been impressed by the Pixel range of phones, and the Pixel 9 Pro continues with the good work done by its predecessors. Personally, I’m really pleased to see a small flagship phone which doesn’t make you compromise on camera features. This used to be something which Apple offered, and perhaps might be again when the new iPhone 16 Pro series is announced (not long to wait now). I like being able to choose a smaller screen and have a phone which is much more pocket-friendly and works better for me as an actual phone. It’s great to have the choice between that and the bigger screen for people who prefer the larger option.

After two weeks with the Pixel 9 Pro, I'm absolutely in love with this phone, in a way that I haven't felt with any of the last few Pixel releases. Sure, I enjoyed my time with the Pixel 8 Pro, but it wasn't my favorite device of 2023, nor did I find myself rushing back to it for any other reason than enjoying Google's software experience. That's not true of the Pixel 9 Pro. Perhaps it's thanks to the new design or the smaller form factor, but Google has crafted a device that I'm excited to pick up and use every morning. Nearly every aspect of this device feels properly polished like a $1,000 flagship should feel. Since I started using Android, I’ve been partial to Pixel phones, but Google hit a home run with the Pixel 9 Pro. This is the best way to experience Android, and the hardware is simply fantastic. That's not just good for the value of the device while I'm using it — it means I could potentially use it for 3 years then sell it or hand it over to another person and they could continue getting updates for a further 3-4 years. I have a problem with the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL

And that’s my big problem: while it can be painted as consumer-friendly and expanding the level of choice, this splitting of the Pixel Pro into two handsets, to me, feels like subterfuge. The Pixel 9 Pro XL, which despite the new suffix is still very much the direct follow-up to last year’s Pixel 8 Pro, is more expensive than its predecessor, while the Pixel 9 Pro starts at the same price but has lower specs. Together, they produce an illusion of continuity but in reality, one charges the same for less and the other asks more for the same. Needless to say, this messy pricing structure hasn’t made the best first impression with me but that doesn’t mean that my mind is made up about the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. We’ll have full reviews coming very soon, so be sure to check back then to see if either handset can bring me around after this wobbly introduction.

It doesn’t look as good as the rest of the Pixel camera systems, but I don’t hate it either. I think they’re laid out like this so you can use the lenses at a better angle when using the camera in a folded state of the phone, similar to Samsung’s Flex Mode. Overall, this is the device I’m most excited about testing because, on the surface, it shows little compromise over choosing the regular Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL.

ARM Mali-G715 MP7:
L'ARM Immortalis-G715MC11 est une carte graphique haut de gamme intégrée pour smartphone dotée de 11 des 16 cœurs possibles. Il est basé sur la troisième génération de l'architecture Valhall d'ARM et offre des performances 15 % supérieures à celles de la génération précédente. Le G715 est le premier GPU mobile prenant en charge le traçage matériel des rayons et prenant également en charge le variable rate shading (VRS).
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Un écran de plus grandes dimensions permettent des résolutions plus élevées, les détails comme la finesse des lettres seront meilleurs. Néanmoins, un écran de plus petite taille est synonyme de consommation énergétique moindre et souvent d’un terminal plus compact, plus léger et plus abordable.
