The Dell Latitude E6400 is a great performer and a solid replacement for the Dell Latitude D630. It seems to be built well enough to be thrown around in day-to-day use, and it's clear that Dell is trying to improve the Latitude line and offer compelling features ... like 19-hour battery life. We really couldn't find any major reason to dislike the E6400, but there are a number of "minor annoyances" that could make some businesses look elsewhere. As we mentioned, although the E6400 proved to be quite durbale during our tests, the alloy chassis is thin in some locations which makes the notebook "feel" less durable than it actually is. We're certain the thinner alloy sections where used in order to keep weight as low as possible, but flex is something you don't want to see in a business notebook. Overall, corporate clients who are looking for the next generation of business notebooks from Dell have plenty of reasons to buy the E6400.

It provides all the connectivity - network and peripheral - you could wish for and decent performance, all at a surprisingly middle-management price. An excellent machine - as long as you're not intimidated by the styling. It is the law.

Dell est un fabricant américain (basé au Texas) de matériel informatique fondé en 1984 et l'un des plus grands fabricants internationaux en termes de parts de marché et de modèles d'ordinateurs portables. Sa gamme de produits comprend des ordinateurs de bureau, des ordinateurs portables, des systèmes de stockage, des moniteurs, des serveurs, des imprimantes, des appareils électroniques grand public et des périphériques. Dell propose des ordinateurs portables adaptés à diverses applications, telles que les ordinateurs portables professionnels, les ordinateurs portables de jeu, les ultra-portables et les postes de travail. Les ordinateurs portables professionnels Dell des séries Latitude et Precision sont une option pour les utilisateurs professionnels et les entreprises.

Le core 2 duo pour ordinateurs portables est identique aux processeurs de core 2 duo d'ordinateur de bureau mais les portables fonctionnent avec des tensions inférieures et une vitesse de Frontside. L'exécution des portables également synchronisés est 20-25% inférieure à des ordinateur de bureau en raison de fréquence d’horloge inférieure de Frontside et plus lents de disques durs.

P8400: Dual core de milieu de gamme avec un TDP de 25 Watt. Pour les gamers ce ne sera pas suffisant.

P9600: Le P9600 est un Core 2 Duo de milieu de gamme proche du T9550 (mais avec un TDP plus faible de 25 contre 35W). Les performances du P9600 sont suffisantes pour les jeux de 2009.
