Critiques pour le/la BlackBerry KeyOne
Appuyez-moi dessus !

A lot of people won't like this phone. Most will simply write it off as yet another failure from BlackBerry, a company still clinging to QWERTY keyboards and “weird” notions about “security”… But they’re wrong. This phone is unique, unusual, powerful and it has a brilliant camera and excellent user experience. I had an absolute blast testing this phone, way more than I did when using the LG G6, and when I’d finished testing it I wanted to to carry on using it.

Perhaps a wild card the BlackBerry KEYone could play might be price: make it a couple hundred bucks more affordable and you have an excellent secondary phone for the sales executive, the serial texter, or the stubborn nostalgic. But at S$858, those rushing in may be wise to sit down and work out if they are indeed dyed-in-the-wool BlackBerry fans, for this one's indeed for the fans.

BlackBerry KeyOne is a sophisticated-looking smartphone that resurrects a physical keyboard in the modern Android era. Its tactical QWERTY keyboard offers a dose of nostalgia, while its smart and secure software give businesses some peace of mind. Just know that the mid-range specs will only get you so far and its entertainment capabilities make this BlackBerry feel as if it clocks out at 5pm sharp when it comes to the fun stuff.

Secure, snappy and long lasting, the Blackberry KEYone is a great business-minded smartphone. The snappers at the front and rear of the handset are great and while the physical keyboard takes some getting used to it's really nice to have a physical keyboard again. Top notch smartphone!

The new BlackBerry KeyOne was an attempt to regain the BlackBerry fans through its physical keyboard and the taste of Android operating system. However, in terms of performance, the device lags behind the competitor’s flagship devices due to the poor choice of the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. However, the main USP of the device is the physical keyboard and the state of the art BlackBerry security. BlackBerry also committed to providing fast and regular security updates to assure the data is secured and encrypted. If you don’t mind having a phone with a screen below 5-inches and miss having a physical keyboard, the KEYone is the perfect combination of Android and a keyboard.

The BlackBerry KEYone is a device that needs to usher in the next chapter of BlackBerry's evolution and a continued desire to make touch and type devices worthwhile. Unfortunately, the KEYone's design and overall experience remain too mixed to be considered a complete offering. As such, in the recent entries of BlackBerry phones, the KEYone is perhaps one of the most underwhelming.

As for the KEYone -- that is priced at Rs 39,990 -- well, it will still largely be a collector's edition device -- for a larger chunk of the audience -- that you would want to buy if you have not crossed paths with yesteryear classics like the Bold and the Curve.

If you’re a big fan of the original Blackberry or you want to feel that certain urge of nostalgia coming in, then the Blackberry KeyOne is for you. Or if you want to know how it feels to have a smartphone with a keyboard in a more modern touchscreen era (instead of attaching gimmicky cases with keyboards patterned after Blackberry units to your phones), then, by all means, try it out.

As for the rest, they will simply shy away and either go in for an LG G6 or a OnePlus 5 because nobody today wants to deal with the same old physical keyboard. The one that BlackBerry has been harping about for the past 14 years but has not innovated on since the Quark. It’s about time BlackBerry reinvented the smartphone keyboard!

If you can manage the small display, hybrid SIM and can spend the amount, go for it. It will be available exclusively on Amazon.in starting from August 8th. Blackberry KEYone is a pretty good mobile for all the Blackberry lovers out there who want an Android smartphone. It is a complete package, it comes with latest Android, Blackberry's classic keypad and its security enhancements ensure that your data remains safe. Its ergonomic design is a plus point and the QuickCharge support comes really handy. Priced at Rs 39,990 the smartphone can is a good buy -- if you are Blackberry fan boy. This is a unique smartphone and can't really be judged as an equal with others in its price class. It clearly targets a niche, but what's unknown at this point is whether the target audience is big enough. Even if there are people who like the idea or the memory of a physical keyboard, will they be willing to accept the tradeoffs that this phone demands? In a universe of sleek metal phones with borderless screens and curved glass everywhere, the KEYone is a bit of a brute and we're not sure we would like this as our primary phones, even though we can really make use of its productivity features.

At the price of Rs 39,990, a lot of users will find the choice of the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 a bit underwhelming. The BlackBerry KEYone with its business-oriented focus isn’t for everyone. However, the BlackBerry KEYone is a fantastically built Android smartphone with plenty of additional business-focused features to make it worthwhile. To be honest, it’s going to be difficult to give up the KEYone as a daily driver, and as a buddy said: “I can see the appeal of a ‘grown up’ phone too.” It definitely has enough going for it that sets it apart enough from the “same as everything else” smartphone crowd these days and is worthy of a Top Pick of 2017 here at Techaeris.

To say we were surprised is an understatement. Blackberry (along with manufacturing partner TCL) has delivered the exact device that it needed to. It melds the best parts of Blackberry – the keyboard, security, management features and build-quality – seamlessly into the latest version of Android. Even if you never use the Blackberry features, you’re left with an excellent Android phone with a very useful keyboard. This is great for those who are more focused on text-based smartphone functions than viewing photos and watching movies.

It’s hard to think of a brand with a more confused history’ than BlackBerry. In the 1990s, it let cutting-edge high-flyers get urgent emails on the move. From 2003, it was the corporate smartphone of choice. In 2008 we learned Barack Obama used one. By 2011, it was the official mobile of urban youth, its QWERTY keypad enabling eyes-free texting from inside hoodie pockets.

Honestly, the TCL BlackBerry KEYone in a winner. This is the Android phone that BlackBerry owners have been waiting for and I’m surprised it took so long to get this out to the consumers. It has a great keyboard and a fantastic battery life along with a very good camera and BlackBerry’s suite of security and apps. It's fortunate, then, that TCL has done such a good job building extra functionality into the keyboard and throwing in a long-lasting battery that won't force you to look for an electrical outlet just when you need the phone the most. A $549 price tag will be hard to swallow, especially when lower-cost, unlocked Android phones can match the KeyOne's performance. But the combination of BlackBerry software and hardware that makes you more productive can't be overlooked.

If there was ever a device to convince BlackBerry loyalists to jump onboard Android, the KeyOne is it. BlackBerry and TCL have a solid device on their hands: TCL-made hardware which follows BlackBerry's legacy of physical keyboards with a security-oriented software experience. For the multitasker that likes to do everything from social media to managing their emails it will be great for you. Software wise its snappy and its running the latest version of Android which some flagships aren’t. Hopefully it continues this path. Battery life is some of the best I seen on any device thanks to its huge size and midrange processor which is good but also can cause you slight delays maybe doing some gaming or having say 10-15+ apps open at once. But most of all is can you go to a keyboard? I think if you give the Blackberry KEYone some time and warm up to it you might up liking it more than you expect. Don’t forget its unlocked and should play nice with various carriers once you get it in-hand.

On one level I could see myself really going for the BlackBerry KeyOne. I like its chunky stylings, the screen is good, and it runs Android so the app question that used to dog BlackBerry is now a moot point. But I just can’t get past that price. If you pay £500 for this, you are being taken for a ride. The KEYone is not for multimedia lovers. The smaller display simply isn't ideal for watching videos and negates the phone's ability to support VR entirely. Moreover, if you prefer swiping on glass to pressing physical keys then there's no reason to regress to the KEYone. People who value physical keys, strong security options, and powerful messaging tools will find plenty to like in the BlackBerry KEYone. The company is selling the phone unlocked directly to consumers beginning May 31. The phone costs $549. The BlackBerry KEYone is a rather decent, though mid-range, smartphone that gives a respectable throwback to the days of old. However, it doesn’t exist in a vacuum, so we always have to ask why would you want to buy one. If you’re a die-hard BlackBerry fan, you’d probably consider Android heresy anyway and would opt for the large and odd Passport. If you’re a die-hard QWERTY fan, you might be better served by a PRIV. So who is the KEYone for really?

This new BlackBerry phone fits a specific type of person, and they pretty much know who they already are: exiled BlackBerry users who have felt forced to trade their physical keyboards for on-screen keyboards over last half decade. Businesses considering buying this for their employees should appreciate the front-and-center security app and BlackBerry Hub. There’s no excuse for workers to miss your messages now. My time with the KeyOne has not converted me to a keyboard diehard — I’m still much faster and more comfortable typing with a virtual keyboard and the things I use my phone for benefit from a larger screen. Commentaire
Qualcomm Adreno 506:
