Realme Narzo 30 Pro comes with a starting price tag of Rs 16,999 and is a good smartphone for customers who want to shift to the budget segment from the entry-level. The smartphone offers a simplistic design and a quite good display. It is also a smooth performer and the big battery with fast charging support act as an added advantage. The handset is capable of handling casual gaming well and the quad-camera setup delivers pretty decent results. So, if you have a budget of Rs 17,000 then you can go for the Realme Narzo 30 Pro.

Despite some of its drawbacks that are apparent even without a full review, the Narzo 30 Pro 5G makes a good value proposition. Especially in India, where the phone sells for a considerably lower price than its European counterpart, the Realme 7 5G. If you don't mind the lack of NFC, this device seems to be a well-balanced midranger with special attention on the display and chipset.

Priced at Rs 16,999, the Realme Narzo 30 Pro does not offer anything unique or different from what others already have in the midrange segment. But it is the cheapest 5G smartphone in the country, even if not the best 5G smartphone to go for. Aimed at gamers, the Narzo 30 Pro has a good performance but it is not as good in design, display, and imaging. That said, consider the Narzo 30 Pro for its sleek performance. Look elsewhere if you are in the market for an all-round midrange smartphone.

It's clear that Realme had just one goal in mind while designing the Narzo 30 Pro: power and 5G on a budget. Sure, it delivers ample performance and support for next-gen data speeds, but too much has been stripped away from the phone to hit the price. It's not a bad phone but buyers would be well advised looking at the competition first.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro is a decently spec'd smartphone when you consider the price point. The choice of the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor is definitely going to be a controversial one since you can get a Qualcomm Snapdragon powered smartphone (like the Mi10i) for just a little higher. The gaming performance of the smartphone is decent and normal, light usage such as email, taking photos, listening to music and general multi-tasking does work without much of a hitch. The cameras on the other hand feel just about average, with low light performance being particularly disappointing. the battery life on the phone is definitely commendable, as long as the display is left at 60Hz, although that shouldn't discourage you from using the 120Hz mode given the availability of 30W fast charging. Overall, the Narzo 30 Pro doesn't feel like a very inspired device, and feels more like one whihc has taken the "safe" approach instead.

Realme is literally giving you a mid-range chipset (also present in the Realme X7 priced at Rs 19,999) at a price tag that’s identical to the best budget gaming smartphone of 2020, Poco X3 (Review). At Rs 16,999, it also delivers 5G (whenever it’s available), which is something that no other smartphone at this price point does. It’s a capable budget smartphone with 5G.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G is a fairly competent all-rounder from the company and a modest upgrade overall compared to the Narzo 20 Pro. The weak low-light camera performance is probably its biggest negative point, among other minor niggles, but it does have quite a few redeeming features. The 120Hz display, 5G support, good performance, and strong battery life are some of the main reasons you should consider the base variant at Rs. 16,999, which offers very good value.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G does make 5G even more accessible and is a step forward in seeing truly budget-friendly 5G smartphones. On the flip side, with 5G currently being a distant reality in India, should this even be a deciding factor when it comes to buying a phone today? We'll explore all this and more in the full review of the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G, coming soon.

ARM Mali-G57 MP3:
