The Poco F3 is an affordable powerhouse. Its price is a pleasure to see for a phone packing half of what it is, so the inclusion of capable and quality parts at just about every corner without seeing the price balloon ever higher is a real achievement. It has some competition from the likes of Xiaomi’s own Black Shark 4 or Google’s Pixel 6 for those with a little more room in their budget, but the Poco F3 is a true standout at its price with very little to complain about.

As you’ve probably gathered by now, the Poco F3 is an easy recommendation if you (justifiably) don’t want to spend £700 on the latest and greatest flagships. For £329, the Poco F3 packs a hell of a performance punch, undermining not only phones of the same price, but more expensive handsets such as the OnePlus Nord and Moto G100, too. The only value proposition to come close is the Apple iPhone SE, which offers similar performance grunt in our test, but even that comes in at £70 more and may not appeal to long-term Android fans. The only mild drawback of the Poco F3 is its camera, which is perfectly serviceable but not the best you can buy. If photography is all important to you, you’re probably better off taking the performance hit and buying a Google Pixel 4a for the same price instead. Otherwise, you can buy with confidence: the Poco F3 is all that and a bag of chips.

So, in the end, the Poco F3 is a flagship killer through-and-through. Nothing less, but also nothing more. It is, thankfully and perhaps surprisingly, cheaper than its predecessor, the F2 Pro, and that fixes one of the problems people seemed to have with that one. It also has a high refresh rate screen, which rectifies another of the F2 Pro's failings, but the cameras seem slightly worse, the motorized pop-up selfie camera is gone, and thus the F3 doesn't have any real issue that stands out in any way. But perhaps that's the point. This is a workhorse phone you get for not a lot of money to do most of what devices 3-4 times more expensive do, and it's a very reliable day-to-day companion if you can live with its downsides like the average-at-best camera quality, proximity sensor issues, and just how little it stands out from the crowd of lookalike devices we have these days. At its current prices, it's definitely a best-buy unless you want a better main camera and are willing to sacrifice performance to get that in this price segment.

There is definitely a lot going for the POCO F3, especially when you consider its price tag. Its performance is quite impressive, even if it isn’t the best, and the FHD+ AMOLED display is great for games that support 120Hz refresh rates. There are, however, also some warts here and there, but none too glaring, unless you absolutely swear by wired headphones. It is definitely a solid mobile companion for its price, especially if you can wrap your head around the custom POCO Android experience or can even get your hands on the phone. The POCO F3 Midnight Silver color option will go on sale on November 11, starting at 329 EUR ($380) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. On Black Friday later this month, a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will also launch for 299 EUR ($350).

This is my 3 month review of the Poco F3. This has been my daily phone since i purchased it on launch on Aliexpress. I try and cover most things iv noticed with this phone but do note, i am using a custom rom called Xiaomi EU rom that has given me some features that might be on the stock Poco F3 Rom. Also a Bonus Tip, the Samsung S20 FE tempered glass fits perfectly on the Poco F3 :)

It's rare to find an affordable phone that stands out these days, but in the ever saturating mid-range market, the Poco F3 definitely does. It's speedy, has a great display, lasts all day, and won't cost you much money at all. Can't say better than that.

The Poco F3 is one of the finest mid-range phones you can buy, but patchy battery life and hit-and-miss software hold it back slightly. The excellent Poco X3 Pro, available for around £100/€100 less, makes it harder to recommend.

Our review of the POCO F3 in the Philippines shows that this is the logical successor to the phenomenally successful Pocophone F1 from 2018. It has the best set of features for a sub-Php 20k price: flagship-grade Snapdragon 870 processor, Gorilla Glass back, gorgeous 120hz AMOLED panel, and efficient battery life. The only thing it has going against it is its less than ideal thermal management, where it tends to heat up fast especially when running AAA mobile games eventually leading to thermal throttling.

In its entirety, POCO F3 is looking more like a mid-range killer. That flagship killer moniker, I think, is reserved for the Redmi K40 Pro with 64MP or the K40 Pro+ with 108MP. Unfortunately, those phones have yet to land in the Philippines. But with POCO F3, you don’t have to wait for the other two as the Snapdragon 870 is more than enough to get the job done, whether it’s gaming. Sure, you get a slightly worse camera setup, but if you set your expectations right, the F3 can deliver a great experience without breaking the bank. It’s basically a phone that can last at least two years, solely for the chipset.

With class-leading performance, an outstandingly bright and fluid display, and a tidy design, the Poco F3 might just have you renouncing flagships for the foreseeable future. Only a mediocre camera and the usual MIUI quibbles threaten to sour an outstanding deal.

POCO has made a name for themselves by making phones that are appreciably affordable but impressively powerful. The POCO F3 is the latest example of that, with the Snapdragon 870 serving as the heart of this powerful yet accessible device. At the end of the day, the POCO F3 seems and feel like a solid device, especially if you’re upgrading from older smartphones. For the price, it’s a decent offering considering that you will get a high-end chipset, AMOLED display with 144Hz, 33W fast charging to name a few. It is far from being a perfect device however but starting from the price of RM1,399, it is an ideal smartphone for those who want the performance without the need to splurge much of your money. For that, I award the POCO F3 with our Silver Pokdeward.

So, the POCO F3. At the starting price of RM1,399 – it’s still a clear step-up from the POCO X3 Pro in a few aspects – particularly the screen, the design, and also the performance. Yet it still comes with a few issues like the “dimming” issue which also appears while shooting photos outdoors.

The Poco F3 is an excellent phone by most standards, which makes it even better considering its modest price tag. The screen is a gem, offering specs rarely seen even at double the price, and the processor is not only powerful enough to tackle almost any task, but it also packs 5G connectivity, making it that bit more future-proof.

We appreciate that the maker has taken the extra step and has provided some value-adding features like stereo speakers, fast charging on the large battery, and even a premium-looking design. The Poco F3 isn't perfect, of course. Only the main camera offers good results, and there is no 3.5mm jack, or a microSD slot, or an official IP rating either.

The Poco F3 offers an unbelievable hardware package for the low price you'll pay for it. However, all the quality hardware in the world doesn't mean anything if the software doesn't match it, and that is what brings the Poco F3 down a notch. Ultimately, this phone is for people who prize processing power and display quality over everything else.

Xiaomi has arguably the best bang-for-buck smartphone brand in the world over the past couple of years, and the POCO F3 is yet another release that punches way above its price class. At a price of €349 ($416) for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM model €399 ($475) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. Early bird pricing further slashes off €50 of both figures. These are really, really good prices that further makes mid-rangers from Samsung look like a tough sell for people outside of North America.

The POCO X3 Pro is a step up above the POCO X3 NFC that launched in the latter half of 2020, but it’s still more or less the same device with some slightly changed internals. Both devices look the same, and nobody could really blame you for mixing the two up. That doesn’t mean that it’s not worth picking up, but the devices are so similar that holding them side by side, it would be hard to tell them apart. It’s fast, it’s smooth, and the Snapdragon 860 can keep up with pretty much everything that you throw at it in a day-to-day sense. It’s not the best chipset on the market and nor is it close to it, but it’s an interesting chip from Qualcomm that helps to fill the gap between mid-range and flagship.

Qualcomm Adreno 650:
