Le Xiaomi 13 Pro déçoit un peu par son prix de 1299 euros, clairement éloigné de la philosophie initiale de la marque (bon rapport qualité prix). Alors déjà, nos yeux ses tournent vers ses petits frères, les Xiaomi 13 et Xiaomi 13 Lite. Ça tombe bien, ils étaient tous les deux à la conférence du constructeur chinois organisée en marge du MWC 2023. Voici nos premières impressions. Spoiler : c’est pas mal.

For under $/£400, you can get something almost as good as the flagship Xiaomi 13, by simply going for the Xiaomi 13 Lite. No, it doesn't have its bigger siblings' stunning Leica lens, and the performance is understandably slower than on these powerhouses, but at a low-midrange price, you're getting some decidedly premium features, like a big, sharp, bright screen, a very good camera and a phone that's a joy to use (once you've cleared all the bloatware away).

Okay, to conclude, my experience with the Xiaomi 13 Lite has kind of been like a mixed bag. It definitely has some good stuff up its sleeves but some of the choices Xiaomi has made here are very strange. For example, the choice of the chipset is great here, but its cooling system is not as effective. It has a great display, but the speaker is just average. It has a good slim design but the battery life is pretty average. But more importantly, Xiaomi’s software commitment is a big big question mark. So honestly, all of these things are holding me back from recommending this phone to you guys. I just think there are better options out there right now and with the likes of Oneplus Nord 3, Google Pixel 7A, and Realme GT Neo5 SE launching soon, it’s going to be even more difficult!

The Xiaomi 13 Lite is a great option for those who want a small and light mid-range phone where some effort has been put into making the thing seem expensive, especially from arm’s length. Not too much has been jettisoned in pursuit of beauty either. The Xiaomi 13 Lite’s performance is solid, it has a super-bright OLED screen, a capable rear camera and a background blur-loving front camera. There are a few little issues. The primary camera oversaturated colours a little, there are some grating quirks in the software and it’s a shame the Xiaomi 13 Lite has a mono speaker. However, the first of these is likely a deliberate measure to appeal to the sort of crowd Xiaomi is aiming for here.

But still, it’s not a viable option since it’s more expensive than a regular mid-range phone. You can wait for a few months till the price drop, then we would recommend purchasing this phone. As for now, we suggest you to going with the OnePlus Ace 2V is a more logical deal as it provides robust hardware configuration with decent performance support and exceptional software support. With all of that combined, you are getting a decent deal even though it’s last year’s device.

Following up on success is always difficult and Xiaomi has delivered a hit-and-miss model with the 13 Lite. The design and build is lovely, with a lightweight frame that is nice to use all day, and the decent battery life with quick recharging means you won’t have to worry about power. However, the cameras are a little underwhelming this time around, which is a surprise after the excellent quality of the 12 Lite. Although they are by no means bad. There are also some build issues surrounding the curved edges of the display. Still, there’s plenty of performance and charm on offer, plus the camera quality can most likely be improved by updates to the software, so the Xiaomi 13 Lite is a solid option if you don’t want the heavier and bulkier Google Pixel 6a or Nothing Phone (1).

The primary specs include the 6.55-inch AMOLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, 68B colors, and HDR10+ support. The display is also protected by gorilla glass 5 and an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance. The Xiaomi 13 Lite smartphone is available with 8GB RAM accompanied by 128GB/256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, while no secondary card is present. Alongside this, the Xiaomi 13 Lite smartphone equips a 4nm Qualcomm SM7450-AB Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. As for the software end, you will attain Android 12 OS with the MIUI 14 custom interface. Let’s talk about camera performance, in this smartphone you get a 50MP primary camera lens that can capable to capture good pictures, while an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera lens is also present. That stubbornly absent microSD card slot is, at least, the only glaring issue that’s cropped up during this hands-on. Otherwise, the Xiaomi 13 Lite makes a strong first impression, thanks to its bright, responsive display and stylishly slim design. Parts that will require more testing to judge fully look promising so far, with enough advancements in the CPU and battery departments to justify charging a little more than the 12 Lite. It’s a shame that the Xiaomi 13 Lite doesn’t get the Leica-engineered cameras that are used on the rest of the 13 series, as this would have sold me more on its potential. Pricing aside, the Xiaomi 13 Lite is a great all-rounder with an impeccable display, fast charging, capable SoC and good main camera performance. However, users will still have to choose the best value for money and with the 13 Lite being considerably more expensive than its predecessor, the Lite isn't a viable mid-range solution anymore. The 13 Lite leaves a bit more to be desired from the speaker setup (the stereo setup is replaced by mono), battery life is somewhat uninspiring, the 2x zoom was better on the last year's 108MP main camera and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset fails to impress with performance in the context of a €500 phone. It's only marginally better than the Snapdragon 778G, too. At the end of the day, the Xiaomi 13 Lite needs a price correction before it can be recommended, as it's hardly an upgrade over last year's generation while being significantly pricier. And even if months go by and the price settles, we believe that the 13 Lite will still be a bit too expensive for our taste. The launch price is way too high.

Qualcomm Adreno 644: Puce graphique pour smartphones et tablettes intégrée au SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Qualcomm affirme qu'elle est 20 % plus rapide que la génération précédente.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

SD 7 Gen 1: SoC ARM rapide de milieu de gamme avec 8 cœurs de CPU Kryo (quatre cœurs ARM Cortex-A710 rapides jusqu'à 2,4 GHz, trois cœurs A78 supplémentaires jusqu'à 2,2. GHz et quatre petits cœurs ARM Cortex-A55 jusqu'à 1,9 GHz) et un modem 5G X53 intégré (jusqu'à 3300 Mbps en téléchargement). Le SoC est fabriqué selon le processus moderne 5 nm.

6.55": Seuls quelques smartphones possèdent une telle diagonale d’écran. 

Un écran de plus grandes dimensions permettent des résolutions plus élevées, les détails comme la finesse des lettres seront meilleurs. Néanmoins, un écran de plus petite taille est synonyme de consommation énergétique moindre et souvent d’un terminal plus compact, plus léger et plus abordable.

77.9%: La note n'est pas convaincante. On doit considérer qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup d'ordinateurs portables qui reçoivent une note en dessous de 60%. Ce portable est en dessous de la moyenne, Nous ne conseillons pas vraiment son achat.
