OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite has an attractive appearance, attracts attention, and the performance, display, speakers, mini jack and microSD card slot put... it in the mid-range category. The camera isn't too bad, especially the 108-megapixel rear one that takes good photos, even at night. At this price, it is a reasonable choice, as long as our expectations are not too high. It's an average phone, it has no major flaws, a few quirks, but nothing serious. You certainly don't have to be afraid of it and maybe that's why it's worth considering.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite has some of the trappings of a solid budget Android phone, but between its price rise and a few weak areas it fails to stand out in the busy market of low-cost competitors.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite manages to get the basics right with a decent performance, good software experience and a long-lasting battery life. However, the camera and the display are average for the price, with the competition offering better AMOLED screens and photography experience. If you are looking for the cheapest phone with a OnePlus badge, then the Nord CE 3 Lite is the way to go. Otherwise, phones like the Motorola Moto G84, Poco X5 Pro and the Lava Agni 2 will offer you a much better experience for the same price.

This phone is a very good budget offering and I have enjoyed using it. If I had not become so accustomed to the high-end flagships that I can use due to this website I would be happy with this phone as one for myself. it is of course not perfect but given what you are paying it does a great job. I found it slightly irritating when I was using it in very bright sunlight due to the relatively low nit levels that the screen was able to produce.

OnePlus keeps its essential characteristics intact with the Nord CE 3 Lite, by offering speedy charging and a surprisingly good display for a low price. Sadly, that only makes the main weaknesses of often sub-par photography, a weak chipset and unfortunately short battery life all the more painful. With as much to like as there is to dislike about the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, this phone won't suit the average buyer's priorities. You will have to be firmly focused on getting the most screen, charging watts or camera megapixels for your money, and on not spending a little more to get yourself a better rounded experience with a Pixel 7a, iPhone SE or Galaxy A54, for the Nord CE 3 Lite to be a viable shortlist option.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite smartphone is a decent smartphone and capable of performing all day-to-day tasks. It has a great display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a decent chipset, a decent camera, and excellent battery life are the main attraction of this phone. OnePlus has managed to deliver an excellent experience for the price it asks for and that’s the point. It is an almost no-compromise smartphone, but only in the same price category. If it was priced slightly higher, it would have missed its mark. Overall the Nord CE 3 Lite smartphone will provide a decent experience to its users. There are many other smartphones available in the same price range, and if you are looking for an alternative option, then you can check out the Realme 10T 5G smartphone, which has similar specs and a lower price.

The 128 GB storage variant of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G can be purchased for Rs 19,999, while you will need to shell out Rs 2,000 more for the 256 GB storage option. That makes it the most affordable OnePlus phone around, but not necessarily the best option around 20K given the competition. While the CE 2 Lite had some tough competition to deal with a year ago, things may get even tougher for the CE 3 Lite. Two options that come to mind straight away are the Motorola G82 5G and iQOO Z7 5G. Both phones offer much sharper OLED/AMOLED displays and flaunt primary cameras with optical image stabilisation (OIS) that’s lacking in the Nord CE 3 Lite. The Motorola also has an ultra-wide camera at the back. While the Moto packs the same Snapdragon 695 chip, the iQOO has a much more powerful Dimensity 920 chip at its core, making it a better phone overall.

So that sums up the tour of the phone which from my limited experience so far is a cracker of a phone and one that I think any young (or young at heart) phone user would be more than happy with. I will of course run it as a daily device for a full review but I have to say I am presently surprised with the initial experience of the phone out of the box. I know that my son would be more than happy with it as it is sufficient for most of what he does on his mum’s phone (that he steals a lot). I also think that the more price-conscious user would be more than happy with this as a phone as it ticks a lot of boxes for a lot of people from what I have seen so far. If you like what you have seen and want to pick up the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G for yourself then you can buy it now from OnePlus on their website for £299 and you can also get a free set of 3.5mm headphones or a Snaddtone bumper case if the include clear case is not to you liking. it is also available for the same price minus the freebies from Amazon as well if you prefer shopping there.

Aside from a few hyperbolic claims regarding lossless zoom and 200% volume, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G mostly achieves what it sets out to do. The problem is that what it sets out to do is sorely lacking in ambition. Performance is essentially identical to the Nord CE 2 Lite, the display is bigger, but slightly lower quality, and battery life is a little shorter although bolstered by faster charging. If the choice is between this and the Nord CE 2 Lite, though, your money is still better spent on the Nord CE 3 Lite: the design is better, the aforementioned fast charging works well and the new camera is decent, even if that attention may have been better placed elsewhere. Compared to other models in this price range, however, the CE 3 Lite struggles to keep up – the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Motorola Edge 30 Neo and Honor Magic 5 Lite all use superior OLED displays, and the latter offers much better battery life for just a few pounds more.

When you look at the drawbacks, it might seem like the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite isn’t something worth considering. However, keep in mind that it’s a 5G-capable smartphone at just RM1,099, which makes these quirks a lot more tolerable. If you’re not looking to play some graphically-intensive mobile game or do some hardcore multitasking, this will serve you just fine.

OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite’s performance is more or less similar to its predecessor. However, the new phone comes with multiple improvements from the Nord CE 2 Lite. If you can undermine the moderate camera performance, this smartphone can be a good buy in the Rs 20,000 5G smartphone segment. It does seem like a case of old wine in a new bottle but the wine will be appreciated by those who shop in this segment.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is suitable for midrangers, it has a bunch of features like 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, 120 Hz display, 108 MP camera, 5G support, Snapdragon 695, stereo speakers, and more. It packs a large 256 GB storage which is a plus, the OxygenOS 13 offers loads of features, perks, and additions. We would miss the AMOLED screen, and like to see better video recording capabilities on the phone, rivals with an AMOLED display and similar specs are available in the segment. But for this price, a OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is a still good pick, especially the 256 GB storage variant. The price for the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G starts at ₹19,999 and it can be grabbed with some ongoing discounts.

For RM1099, the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is entering a highly competitive price range. However, thanks to the OnePlus software experience and stylish design, it's definitely a stand-out choice in this market segment. With excellent battery life, a 120Hz IPS LCD display and a capable 108MP main camera, this is definitely a mid-ranger that most people would 'Settle' for. If your budget is within this range, you can't go wrong with the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G. Alternatively, for the same price, you can get the POCO X5 5G which has the same processor but sports a 120Hz AMOLED panel. However, you miss out on stereo speakers and have to settle for a much slower 33W charging. Another option is the realme 10 (RM999), which has comparable specs but is RM100 cheaper. With the lower price point, you do have to settle for a 90Hz AMOLED display and no 5G connectivity though. That's all, folks! So, what do you think of this latest entry-level mid-range device by OnePlus? As a long-time OnePlus fan, it’s nice to see that the brand can still offer an amazing package at a reasonable price. That being said, it does lag behind the competition in some aspects, specifically the camera and display. The battery life and charging are stellar if you care more about that and the performance is more than reasonable in this price bracket. Unfortunately, while it’s not something that you would regret buying as it’s a good bang-for-the-buck phone in general, I could not recommend it over some of its competitors that have a bit of an edge over the Nord CE 3 Lite.

OnePlus has turned out yet another competent lower-mid-range phone in the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G but is competent enough? The new 108Mp camera is an improvement over what’s gone before, though it’s far from the best in its class – especially when the light drops. Meanwhile, the continued use of an LCD panel rather than an AMOLED feels like an oversight that’s growing harder to ignore. There’s a question of value for money here, with the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G coming in £20 more expensive than last year’s model. That might be justifiable with its faster charging and larger display, but rival handsets cast it in a less favourable light. Spending just a little more gets you the superior Redmi Note 12 Pro, while spending a little less gives you the Poco X5 with its AMOLED display. Throw in stagnant performance and OnePlus software that no longer stands apart from the pack, and you have a phone that struggles to differentiate itself in a competitive field.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite is a decent, reasonably affordable mid-range phone. There’s not much of the old OnePlus magic here, but the phone does stand out in a couple of ways. It has a headphone jack, a rarity in phones any more expensive than this one. The stereo speakers are also among the loudest I’ve heard recently. They cut through noisier environments in a manner most affordable phones just can’t. And the rest? The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite’s design has a little spark to it, partly down to the bright green colour on offer. However, it’s otherwise only a middleweight contender, and lacks the stand-out appeal of phones like the OnePlus Nord 2T at release.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite seems like a good package on paper, but the several issues I've listed above give me little reason to recommend it over other devices in the same price range, like the Google Pixel 6a and the Redmi Note 12 5G. I would've overlooked the issues had the device been £50 cheaper, but £300 is tough to justify for a phone that only excels in battery life. You can get it if you really need the 67W fast charging support or if you're a die-hard OnePlus fan, but there are a couple of other phones in this price range that offer better value for your money. Although the Pixel 6a has a 60Hz display and doesn't charge as fast, it has better performance thanks to Google's Tensor chipset. The Pixel 6a also captures amazing photos despite having a 12.2MP sensor, gives you access to Pixel-exclusive features, and has longer software support for less than £300. The Redmi Note 12 5G is cheaper at around £280, and offers a significantly better 120Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, a usable 8MP wide-angle camera, Gorilla Glass 3, and an IP53 rating. On the downside, it's limited to 33W fast charging and runs MIUI 14 based on Android 12. In the end, you'll have to make certain compromises with phones in this price bracket. "Never Settle" just doesn't work for budget-friendly devices. But if you don't want to settle and can stretch your budget a bit, you can grab the Pixel 7 for around £475. It'll offer a significantly better experience than any of the other phones I mentioned. Or you can wait for the Pixel 7a, which will likely be announced at Google I/O next month.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is not perfect, but it offers more at the price equal to its predecessor. For a core edition smartphone, the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G covers the fundamentals right with the inclusion of screen of adaptive refresh rate, loud stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, versatile primary camera sensor, and big-capacity battery. Overall, the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G makes a good entry-level smartphone to get into the OnePlus ecosystem.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite starts at Rs 19,999 for its 8GB/ 128 GB variant, with an 8 GB / 256 GB variant priced at Rs 21,999. This is the same as that of the Nord CE 2 Lite launched in 2022, although that was with 6 GB RAM. What is, however, more notably (pun intended) different is the fact that the Redmi Note Pro series, which was the greatest challenger of the Nord CE 2 Lite, now has moved up to a considerably higher price zone and starts at Rs 24,999. Interestingly, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite’s spec sheet does have some similarities with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ – the 108 MP main sensor, the Snapdragon 695 processor and the 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. In fact, the main challenger to the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite comes not from Redmi or even Realme but from iQOO, whose iQOO Z7 is perhaps one of the best devices under Rs 20,000, thanks to a 64-megapixel camera with OIS and a very powerful MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip, and at the time of writing actually starts at a lower price of Rs 18,999. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, however, scores over it in terms of design, battery, charging, and of course, that relatively uncluttered UI as compared to the more crowded FunTouchOS on the iQOO Z7. There is a new contender for the title of ‘Best smartphone below Rs 20,000’ and wonder of wonders, it is not a Redmi Note, but a OnePlus phone. Those saying it might have a point – this, indeed, could well have been a Redmi Note. And that is saying something!

I think that depends on the price. At RM1,099, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite is indeed what I’ll consider to be a good price for the phone. Our initial script for this review compares this phone with the Samsung Galaxy A34 because of two reasons – the Galaxy A34’s Dimensity 1080 chipset performs better and it has proper OIS. But at around USD $100 cheaper than the Galaxy A34, that makes the Nord CE 3 Lite actually at a reasonable price point.

When compared to the Nord CE 2 Lite, the Nord CE 3 Lite definitely looks a lot more modern and trendy. That said, except for the slightly faster charging and a slightly better camera, the Nord CE 3 Lite brings nothing much to the party. With the pricing difference of Rs 2,000, the Nord CE 2 Lite comes out as a really compelling package for those who want an affordable OnePlus Phone, while the Nord CE 3 Lite only shines with its fresh looks.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is a marvellous mid-range smartphone (£299 in the UK), boasting a 108MP camera, impressive gaming performance and all-day battery life. This hands-on OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G tour includes photo and video samples, some hot Genshin Impact action and a squint at OxygenOS. If you want solid specs for a low price, this phone is hard to beat. The Nord CE 3 Lite has many highlights, including a 108 meg camera that can shoot good looking snaps even in low light like the Pixel 6a. That Snapdragon chipset means gamers can get stuck into PubG, Genshin Impact and other Android favourites. You even get dedicated gaming features with OxygenOS. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G also serves up a 5000mAh battery that can last you all day. And charging speeds are nice and nippy thanks to the SuperVOOC tech. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is a fairly good phone that serves the basic needs of consumers looking for a phone under Rs 20,000. The smartphone looks decent and is superbly lightweight, offers good overall performance (including outstanding speakers) and long-lasting battery life and also clicks decent pictures. However, I believe the camera can be improved further through future software updates. Overall, the Nord CE 3 Lite for a starting price of Rs 19,999 is a good deal with just a few areas where it can improve. So, if you are looking to upgrade your old Android phone and have a budget of Rs 20,000, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite can be considered. However, Nord CE 2 Lite users can wait for the next generation model in the series.

This is a well-rounded device, which may not stand out from the crowd, but it does hold its own against the competition when it comes to performance in key areas. Cameras and battery are the standout features here and deserve a call out from us, but even the general performance and design of the device are pretty good and are good enough to warrant a buying recommendation from us. The only matter of concern is if the device's chipset, the Snapdragon 695 SoC will be able to hold its own in years to come and leave the device looking a bit too underpowered in front of phones that may launch not only a year from now but even the ones that we see entering the market in a few months.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is a good phone for those who want a OnePlus smartphone and have a tight budget. You get the new OxygenOS experience, good battery life, decent performance, and fast charging. While design is subjective, I quite liked the overall in-hand feel and the lime colour of the phone. The display is also quite tall and smooth to operate. Those who want a better multimedia experience need to look at something like the Redmi Note 12 5G, which also has an ultra-wide camera. There is also the Moto G82 5G (Review) which has the same SoC as the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G and offers an ultra-wide camera, AMOLED 120Hz display, near-stock Android experience, and a 5,000mAh battery. The only trade-off is the slightly slower charging speed. Once known as the trendsetter, OnePlus seems to have played it safe with its latest Nord Lite smartphone. While the phone has received some upgrades, most of them are not as groundbreaking as I would have liked. The good thing here is that these upgrades do not come with an increase in price, at least at launch. If you are a OnePlus loyalist and want a phone under Rs. 20,000, the new Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is your best option.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite is really just the Realme 10 Pro with a different name. The only notable difference is the faster 67W charging, which, funnily enough, didn't actually work during our testing. The only other difference is the choice of color options for both phones, with the Nord CE 3 Lite having the fetching Pastel Lime and the Realme 10 Pro having the unique Hyperspace Gold. As such, you could really just go with either phone as they are otherwise about as identical as two phones can get. We are not even sure why Oppo is even launching them in the same market together; it's not as if the old OnePlus values mean anything anymore, and any fans of the brand could just as well buy a Realme phone for all the difference it makes. The Nord CE 3 Lite doesn't even have the alert slider, one of the last remaining unique OnePlus features. Aside from that, the Nord CE 3 Lite is a pretty standard budget phone that has all the basics in place. The biggest issue with the phone is the bogus advertised 120Hz refresh rate, which may as well be marketed as 90Hz. It's hard to be too critical at this price point. Having said that, the Redmi Note 12 5G costs about the same but packs in an AMOLED display, IR blaster, and IP53 rating. Assuming it's available in your region, it would be our first pick but the Nord CE 3 Lite is also a decent budget option otherwise.

I’ll leave my full verdict for the full review once testing has been completed, but first impressions are generally positive. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite has a lot going for it, not only in terms of general design but key features like a 5,000mAh battery, a large 6.78-inch display and 67W fast charging capabilities, all for just £299. There are a few areas that aren’t quite a success, but that’s to be expected at the budget end of the market.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite is largely similar to its predecessor but offers some improvements in the audio setup, charging capabilities, and the primary camera’s resolution. While its photography and processing power could leave you wanting, the Nord CE 3 Lite passes the litmus test for being able to provide a decent overall experience in its segment.

The biggest problem with the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G was that it was priced a little too closely to the non-Lite version to be considered a true cost-cutting alternative, so until we get a good look at the Nord CE 3, it will be hard to see if that pattern continues here. In its own right, however, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G shows a lot of promise. The 6.72in LCD display is bigger than its predecessor, the camera array has had several tweaks, and the fast charging is better than some phones costing twice as much. Whether or not these improvements will be enough to justify the extra cost will be confirmed when we get to the full review, so check back in soon to see what we think of the OnePlus Nord Ce 3 Lite 5G.

Commentaire
Qualcomm Adreno 619:
