Intel i3-7020U

L'Intel Core i3-7020U est un processeur à double cœur de l'architecture Kaby Lake. Il offre deux cœurs de CPU cadencés à 2,3 GHz (sans Turbo Boost) et intègre HyperThreading pour travailler avec jusqu'à 4 threads à la fois. Les différences architecturales sont plutôt faibles par rapport à la génération Skylake, donc les performances par MHz devraient être très similaires. Le SoC comprend un contrôleur mémoire DDR4 à double canal et une carte graphique Intel HD Graphics 620 (cadencée à 300 - 1000 MHz). Il est fabriqué dans un processus FinFET amélioré de 14 nm chez Intel. Comparé à l'ancien i3-7100U, le nouveau i3-7020U est cadencé 100 MHz plus bas (cœurs de CPU) et constitue donc le modèle d'entrée de gamme actuel de la gamme Core i3. Le Pentium Gold 4415U similaire offre moins de cache (2 contre 3 Mo) et un GPU plus lent.

Architecture

Intel utilise fondamentalement la même micro architecture par rapport à Skylake, les performances par MHz ne diffèrent donc pas. Le fabricant a seulement retravaillé la technologie Speed Shift pour des ajustements dynamiques plus rapides des tensions et des horloges, et le processus amélioré de 14nm permet des fréquences beaucoup plus élevées combinées à une meilleure efficacité qu'auparavant.
